I think the reason I'm not doing any work is because I'm so daunted by the prospect. I have shit-loads of essays to do, a ton of research, and we have less than two weeks to do all of our development for Art. That is twenty hours of work, experimenting and incorporating with different mediums-- it makes my brain hurt just thinking about it.

I should probably stop thinking about it and just do it but... screw it. Seriously.

Sam got the job he applied for :D I'm happy for him, because it finally means he won't be borrowing money (I hope), but also supremely jealous because he just walked into that job, basically. I have been looking for a job all summer. What is wrong with me? What, exactly, is it that makes me so unemployable? Is it my lack of experience working in shops? Well, reality check, bucko-- I'm only seventeen, and I've been slaving away at a farm for the last four years. Not what you want? I'd like to see you do it.

Bitter? Yeah. Very bitter. I will happily do anything that isn't waitressing (sorry, I've learnt to value my voice and I'm not taking chances of it going again). Hell, I'd embrace becoming a pale, mythical warden of the treasure at Argos! ARGH.

I'm not in a bad mood, I just feel the need to vent these things :) Oh, and Mum is making chocolate cake. And we're not allowed any. Humph. I think I need to go for a loooooooong ride, do at least one essay and one piece of artwork, then do more work tomorrow. On Wednesday I'm hanging with Laura and maybe going to town to drop off application forms etcetera and probably spending money I don't have (I'm operating under the illusion that 'I'll have more money soon'). I already owe Laura a fiver, so I'm not going to borrow anything.

Looking forward to Hallowe'en, though! I don't know what to be, but I'm sure I'll think of something. I could do pirate again, but I've already done that. Time for something new! :D I've decided I'm not going to be a pirate again until Dead Man's Chest. Though I won't dress up to see it, cause that's sad. I'll just wear a shirt with MOOG written on it, to see if there are any fellows around. Which there won't be, because we are a rare breed.

I really need some chocolate.

I introduce, at long last:

Gareth.

Freshly cleaned and waxed, yo. Just got to clean the seats (his seats are damned filthy!) Taking him for a drive later, I think. In a deserted car park, since I'm not insured to drive on the roads.

Should be doing homework now. Am feeling lazy. You know one of those days where you do nothing, and the less you do the less you feel like doing anyway? Yeah, that's me today.

And I missed Arrested Development last night. Again. Couldn't tape it cause Dad was taping the football. Go figure. I think Reedy may actually kill me.

Hum dee dum. Killing time right now. I'm very hungry but I think that anything I eat would react badly to my stomach. Grah. Oh well ^^

I do write a lot of wank, don't I? Off to watch Part Troll.

15th-Oct-2005 06:20 pm - RON!

Gods I'm tired. I've been out at Burghley ODE all day with Hope, but at least it was a nice, warm and successful day :D Hope came fourth, after doing a nice dressage and a double clear; Becky was second in her class, and Philippa was third. So yay! :D

VJ has a new puppy. A border terrier cross jack russel, and he is the cutest dog ever. His name is Ron (after Ron Weasley). I was hard put not to steal him right off.

Weasley is our King. I don't know why that grey line is there. Screw it.

VJ fell asleep on the ramp of the lorry whilst we were having lunch, and Ron chewed through is lead. Whilst we were yelling to Hope 'catch him! Catch him!' VJ jerked awake and nearly fell off the side of the ramp in her hurry to get up, as she thought that we were yelling 'catch him' to a horse that was stampeding down the ramp :D

Anyway, I'm very tired and my feet ache... >_< Q.I. was excellent last night :D

Just quickly, as this just occured to me:

Imagine that you are walking down the street, through a shopping centre (or mall, which is a stupid name, but that's for a whole other time...) or whatever. You see someone walking towards you. Just randomly, they burst out laughing.

Is this weird?

Cause I do it regularly. When I don't have conversation to occupy myself, I think about stuff. Today I was wandering around, when suddenly Bill Bailey's voice leapt into my head, saying, "...lunge wildly at the Pope!" And I just burst out laughing. I got a few stares, but it was kind of nice to have my own hidden joke.

I don't want to be carted off, is all.

Thank Buddha we have a week off. I'm so tired! Not, of course, that it will be an easy week, since we have three million essays.

...

Okay, so maybe only three. But the point still stands.

My driving lesson was good today. We've completed all the maneuveurs, and the only one I have problems with is left reverse. I need to practice that more, and I'm not all that confident with turn-in-the-road either. But still, today was good. XD

Mum and Dad have gone to get the car. I may still have to use the little black one at first (which reeks of petrol. Much airing out and prettifying is needed on that one) because I may pass my test before Dad gets his qualification, so he'll use the Punto. But still, YAY CAR.. Will take pictures of it later.

People, please post your favourite name for a car! I need to name it. The little one is called Tim, but the Punto needs a new one (I'm leaning towards Gareth, but I'm not sure it suits it...)

I bought O by Damien Rice today. I love acoustic albums. And it was cheap :D

I did have a rant all ready about the complete selfishness of my (step) grandad, but I'll spare you right now :)

Q.I. is on tonight. Whoo! Reedy and Sam and Googles are going away this week :( Will miss them, as it will be quiet. But me and Laura are having a sleepover on Wednesday hopefully-- whee!

Anyway, got to go pick Hope up from school. Bye!

LOST OMG )

What else? Erm, it's half term next week-- thank Christ. I'm still job hunting. It's amazing that I find parallel parking easier than left-corner reverse. Getting car tomorrow. Laura can go to Uni! And... that's it. Whoo. Lost is the highlight of my week, seriously. Grampsie is in hospital again-- second time in two weeks. He can barely walk and is waiting for a hip replacement, but he cracked his femur a few months ago and it's not healed, and he keeps falling :/ We'll see what happens.

Anyway, ciao!
