friends filters
Okay, the deal is that I MUST re-do my friends filters, they're a big mess. For those of you who don't know, I almost never post just a flat friends-only entry anymore. My entries are either public or open to certain groups. I also hardly ever click the friends page and start reading away... I read in groups, too. So getting in on a group is a good thing.

Anyway, I've put together this little poll and would really appreciate you taking the time to fill it out. Thanks!

Of course, despite being from over in the UK, am still *interested* in Kansas...

yay! I'll try to make it interesting :) Wish me luck though.

You're one of the few people I like enough to be interested in everything you write regardless of whether it's of personal interest to me or not (it helps that you don't update every 5 minutes like some people on my friends list, and all your entries are interesting).
spacefem From: [info]spacefem Date: June 11th, 2003 03:12 pm (UTC) (Link)
Indeed. More than three entries a day and it's tough to keep people in the main group I read, no matter how interesting they are. Thanks for the compliment though :) I adore your entries too, your life is just way more interesting than mine... I've just been bad about reading everybody's journals lately.

my life is more interesting than yours? hah, you make me feel so unproductive :) you, like, have a real career job, and friends, and you go biking and you shop and ... you're just so active compared to me.

That's one of the things I like about LJ: it helps people see themselves through others' eyes, a little more objectively.

I put "another web forum" and "real-life" since I've actually SEEN your Hot Spacefem Ass. ;)
rawbery79 From: [info]rawbery79 Date: June 11th, 2003 07:18 am (UTC) (Link)
Wait, that came out wrong. I mean, I've seen ALL of you, not just your ass. *blush* whoops! It's still early for me...

I think you're an overall really cool person.

I voted "Another web forum" to mean "initially IRC" since it seemed the most suitable, and also I selected "Airplanes" to mean blimps more than aeroplanes, I really love dirigibles. I must have one.
spacefem From: [info]spacefem Date: June 11th, 2003 03:14 pm (UTC) (Link)
indeed, I should have added IRC to the list. I just haven't been in there often.

As for the blimp... of course we'd all love one, but cleaning takes soo long...

I'm only in the 19-24 group for another 2 months. Then I'll be 25, gawd I'm old. :)
From: cheap_thoughts Date: June 11th, 2003 03:41 pm (UTC) (Link)
I'm actually in the 15 - 18 group, but I put myself in the 19 - 24 group. *shurg* I'll be 19 in *counts* three months. Haha, also, I just put down that I knew her from Spacefem.com, but I've seen/met her before, and I KNEW of her first from the Kansas commuinty. *shurg* I'm just a confusing person. lol

But I enjoy reading your daily journal enteries spacefem!!

Heh. I know what it's like to have friends group spegghetti. I deal with it, too. I eventually simplified into four groups, and just started lumping people into them.

I do, however, enjoy reading your journal. You have a tendency, often, to say really cool and deep philosophical things :) That's rather uncommon on my friends list. Plus, you're a nifty engineer chick. Engineer chicks, by definition, kick ass.

Oddly enough, you're probably the most-quoted person from my friends page. That is, where I'm like "Someone on my friends page remarked..." or "I read somewhere that...". Anonymous, yes, but I know where it comes from. :P

Good luck with getting friends groups sorted out!

...and uh, why the distinction between 18 and 19? Isn't 18 the "typical" adult age?
