Well, we are about five days away from the premiere of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, and week from the release of the games.
It is really a great time to be a fan of the Pokemon franchise, granted that it is always fun being a fan. With the advent of Generatio IV we are seeing a kind of rebirth of the series, and many wonderous things are happening, such as:

Online play in both Pokemon titles that release this year, 114 new monsters, a split in attack effectiveness that changes the entire metagame.

Brand new rules and cards with the latest TCG expansion.

A more focused effort in advertizing and merchendising for the franchise, better toys being made, perhaps even a rivivial of the Manga in the US.

New characters, locations, and adventures as the anime enters it's 10 year.

And this is just the tip of the iceburg, the new features in the games are serving to bring fans worldwide closer than ever before, old and new, young and old.

Tajiri's dream of Pokemon bringing people all over the world together is now closer than ever before.

Pokebeach has an interview with the voice of Ash Ketchum, and she confirms that the first episodes of the Diamond and Pearl anime have been dubbed, and season 10 will be airing this summer.

Sarah is very nice to take all the negative things that have been said about her, and turn it into motivation. 
It is very good to see that she keeps positive in the face of this, much like Ash himself.
