	2008.05.04  19.52 more yarn I finished the next skein of yarn dyeing. it's pretty too. it's kinda orange. here it is with the turmeric skein. the new one is on the right. also: bethy from my knitting group has inspired me to dig out an old knitting project I had given up on. As it turns out, it's not so bad and i think i'll finish it!

	2008.05.04  10.16 dyed yarn YAY. I finally got around to dyeing one of my handspun yarns. It came out much nicer than I thought it would. I dyed it with turmeric and I thought it was going to come out bright yellow. It came out a goldish rusty color instead. today i'm going to try to dye with alkanet (maybe purplish gray) and madder root (maybe redish) I have to spin a lot more yarn. Also: here's a picture from the black purls meeting yesterday- Hope and Kelly in their cute outfits. We are now meeting at a new coffee shop that makes it own coffee and they have all those huge machines in the back ,which you can see behind Hope & Kelly.

	2008.04.11  20.01 yarn! Since my camera is back, I have pictures to share of my handspun yarns. These are the ones I've spun on my drop spindle. I've only yed one of them though (with kool aid) I have good variety of natural plant roots i've purchased online to dye my yarns but I am incredibly lazy and it'll take days to do it. ( more yarns and some knitting projects )

	2007.10.31  22.10 sweater: ubernatural by stefanie japel i knit a sweater i like! it's chunky and green it took maybe four or five hours to knit, the living room is a mess. so , in conclusion i am pleased.

	2007.10.20  19.55 foods foods Originally uploaded by Ana Garcia We tried out a pumpkin spice bread recipe last night. By "we" I mean David. He made two batches, the first burned a little and was a bit dry because of it (our oven is quirky- recipe called for over an hour and 30 minutes at a lower temp was too much). The second one though was perfect! I't s so awesome. In this picture, we see that david has layered the bread with cream cheese, and down below he has put some cream cheese rolled up in genoa salami slices. we learned the putting of the cream cheese on these things from david's mother. It's fantastic

All i need to do is weave in the loose ends. it's gorgeous! it was easy/ fun to knit . I have one ball on this yarn left, wonder what i should do with it? i don't own a cat to make a mini scarf for.

I will also be looking through my yarn collection for black and white yarns for a scarf. I finished the tank top for my mother and i love it! it's longer than i wouldn't liked but it's still awesome, possibly the most awesome thing i've ever knitted. I had David take a picture of me in it but I didn't like any of the pictures. I'm keeping it til' saturday so i can show the knitting girls and then mail it off to my mother.

	2007.09.08  19.27 tank top for my mother now this week i've been knitting a tank top for my mother. it's the lillian tank top pattern using a cotton/silk blend yarn: misti cotton I am almost at the part where the arm holes come into the picture and I'm scared.

	2007.07.15  00.37 eee! making my first yarn! couldn't wait til morning to take a better lit photo. although i'm not sure i'm doing it correctly because it's going a lot easier than i've been led to believe :(

	2007.06.15  19.31 i finished the pink sweater i was knitting. I tried to pose in such a way as to trick the camera into making it look not as bad as it actually is! it should have been made in a smaller size, and the lack of shaping at the waist makes it look boxy, it's my first knit sweater.

	2007.06.04  22.00 Ansel Adams, by Liam Lynch you really need to watch this if you're a photographer or interested in photography. ANSEL ADAMS was HILARIOUS.

	2007.05.25  17.55 BARBIE look who i bought ! she is a 35th anniversary reproduction of the ol' fashion barbie (the best barbie) she's so pretty. i also bought a bunch of vintage skippers that haven't arrived.

	2007.05.16  21.08 fetching i finished these in 2 days! i learned to knit with 4 needles for this. i looooove them, they're super soft. I followed the pattern at knitty too bad it's freaking summer time , and florida! ( Read more... )

	2007.04.28  18.08 snakes So we were driving to our apartment the other day and almost ran over a snake, I screamed and david stopped the car and the snake was safe, although it looked incredibly freaked out. then today I saw the snake in the same spot as we were driving (it was at the side of the road not in the middle) and it was just there looking both ways and waiting for our car to pass. I said shit that snake is a FAST LEARNER.
