Bunnie Jacquay, received a visit Wednesday from officers she never wanted to see at her Escondido home. Earlier that day, Legg was shot while trying to save two soldiers who had been attacked by insurgents with grenades and small-arms fire in Sharqat, Iraq.

Mongols and the Hells Angel's on the La Jolla Indian reserva

Two-hundred members of the Mongols are expected this weekend at the La Jolla Indian campground for a gathering,. No word yet if the Hell's Angels plan to show up. The war between the gangs began in 1977 with a dispute over who could use the word "California" on their vests.

UNLV signed four student-athletes

"These student-athletes embody the attributes and work ethic we were looking for and they are going to be key components in the future of UNLV cross country and track and field." Murphy is from Escondido, Calif., and is currently a senior at Valley Center High School, where she has run a personal-best time of 11:21 in the 3,200 meters.
