So...

My parents are away today and tomorrow (their anniversary), which is awesome.

However. I went groceries earlier and when I was putting them away I dropped a (5 dollar!!!) jar of salsa and it broke. Not only did I have a huge mess to clean, I also sliced open my finger. Hours and hours later (about 10 minutes ago) I was walking around in barefeet... apparently I'd missed a couple shards cause I got a nice glass sliver in my foot which bled EVERYWHERE and was a bitch and a real (literal) pain to get out with tweezers. Then it took another full five minutes to clot. Ugh.

Also, today I changed my 30 gallon fish tank into an awesome hamster home. After giving away my fish, I drained the water out my window (into the flower bed, and, unknowingly, splashes into my car window that was still open a bit). On the way down the stairs with the very heavy mostly empty tank (still had wet gravel though which weighs a ton), I crushed my knuckles against the doorframe as the tank was just a teeny bit too wide to allow it and my hands to pass through safely. Another nice chunk of skin gone, and more blood. Fucking hell.

So i got that all fixed up, and an hour or so later my tank is nice and rinsed out and drying. I decide to go out to Wal Mart and the pet store. Get in my car without looking at the seat (the rest of the car had long since dried; it was a hot day) and immediately have a completely wet ass, soaked right through my shorts and underwear. So, I had to go back in, get changed, put a towel and a plastic bag on my seat, do my errands and then come home and let the seat dry in the wind and sun.

SO YEAH. Not my best day. lol. OH and then I had the genius idea that vaccuuming my hammie's cage is so much easier than manually cleaning it (so true, but...) I kinda forgot that vaccuum bags arent very big, and it was full long before I finished cleaning the cage. Annnnnnd we have no new empty bags. So. I had to take the bag out, carefully open it up, dump the crap into a bag (all the while dying from my allergies... I'm ALLERGIC TO DUST. Dust. Which is flying EVERYWHERE as I do this...) and put it back in.

Yeah. xD

It actually wasnt that bad of a day, those horrors aside. Those are more funny than anything now, aside from the glass sliver (it hurts like a bitch). I rearranged my room, made the tank successfully into Clavo's new home, got new homes for my fishies (one guy has a 180 gallon tank! My fishies will be haaaaaaaaappy.) Now I get to relax tomorrow, thank GOD.

Although I do kinda wish I hadnt spent the WHOLE day doing this (like 13 hours straight including going for groceries, minus a half hour each for lunch and supper), it was worth it, my room looks awesome. I'll take pics tomorrow when its light out, natural daylight looks so much nicer in my room than artificial.

Stupid microphone isnt working, lol.

So I've been having computer troubles. I got the blue screen of death on BOTH of my computers on Friday night. I brought them into the computer shop place and they backed up all my files and reinstalled windows. I got my laptop back yesterday but I wont get my desktop back till tomorrow, and I'm really scared how much this is going to cost... I think it was some sort of virus, but I have no idea where it came from.

In other news, I'm still working overtime. Its crazy and exhausting. I'm... I dont know. During the week its kinda just a grind, really. I get up, I go to work, I stress, sometimes I have a few laughs but mostly its "OMG I want to go home" cause my legs and feet just hurt so much and I hate the atmosphere at work right now... everyone's so bitchy and panicked cause its so busy, and it really wrecks my day. I need to work on not letting other people's mood affect my own, but its REALLY hard.

In OTHER news (happier this time) I got LIVE rick rolled by Mattie (_towhateverend_). It was hilarious and the giggles and comments that ensued totally made my day.

Me: *laughing* Are you drunk again?
Mattie: No, but that is totally the best way to answer the phone.

<3

TV meme

TV SHOW MEME! Stolen from Mattiekins who is FINALLY back on LJ!

Choose five series (no peeking before you choose them), list them, and then answer the questions behind the cut.

01) Supernatural
02) Smallville
03) LOST
04) Battlestar Galactica
05) Firefly

1. Which is your favorite series from your list?
Ummmmmmmmmmmmm SO hard to answer... ATM, probably Supernatural, but Firefly and Smallville are a close second.

2. If you were to pair two characters from 1 (Supernatural) and 4 (Battlestar Galactica), who would they be?
ZOMG Sam Winchester and Kara (Starbuck) Thrace! Although kara would probably beat the shit outta him. xD

Actually Dean/Kara would probably be better, they'd try to out-wit each other.

3. What is one thing you'd like to change about 3 (LOST)'s plotline?
LOL. What a question. How can I narrow it down to a few things?

4. If both main characters of 2 (Smallville) and 5 (Firefly) were falling off a cliff, which one would you save?
Mal, because Clark = Superman and he'll just create a CLark-shaped crater and be fine. xD

5. Which event was the most horrible for you in 1 (Supernatural)?
Oh God. Um. Sam "dying" at the end of Season 2. And the finale in Season 3. Which I wont say, since Mattie hasnt seen it yet.

6. Which is your least favorite character of 2 (Smallville)?
Ummmmmm... Good question. Many of Lex's croonies, Lex, atm... Didn't much like CLark's daddeh... Biological OR adoptive.

7. If the antagonist of 3 (LOST) were to rape the main character of 1 (Supernatural), what would you do?

EW, Benry rape the Winchesters? Wouldn't happen. <strike>Now KATE on the other hand..</strike>

8. What song reminds you of 5 (Firely)?

Lots of songs... But the theme song pwns.

9. Of 1 (Supernatural), 3 (LOST), and 5 (Firefly), which is the easiest to think about?
Ummm 1 or 5, cause 1 = awesome and 5 = awesome and 3 = confusing and annoying lol.

10. Are the protagonists of 2 (Smallville) and 4 (Battlestar Galactica) similar?
Eh, not really. Clark = superman, lead people in BSG = military peoples.

She is SO much easier to talk to. So yeah. Slap on the wrist, whatever. Although I'm wondering if I'm going to get an earful today from my boss since I work in a half hour and he's probably still gonna be there *rolls eyes*

Anyway I gotta head out now, just wanted to update. <strike>Maybe I'll actually start updating regularly again</strike> Ack I shouldnt say that, i'll jinx it. xD

To my fellow Supernatural fans...

After seeing the episode Blood Mary near the beginning of the first season...

Anyone been tempted to actually stand in front of the mirror and say it? Say bloody mary, three times?

I want to, but I'm so chicken shit lmao. I don't know. I mean, the kids in the ep were morons for doing it after people had already died, but I mean... its not real. 98% of me believes that but... who knows, maybe this stuff really is real. I mean half the stuff in this show canNOT be real... like the phantom truck? Yeah right.

But a lot of it comes from folklore and legend, and every legend has some type of fact in it...

Just makes you wonder what's out there, y'know?

Anyway. If Sam gets possessed by that goddamn demon, I'm gonna cry. (Am about halfway through season 2 now, right after he gets completely drunk and makes Dean promise he'll kill him if he gets possessed or whatever.)

But, Jensen is hot too. xD

I lvoe this show so much...

It has all the elements of thrillers that I love, the paranormal, the excitement... The humor between the brothers that I love, the brothers themselves...

I'm on S2 D2 now.

I just love Sam. And no, its not just cause he's adorable. Its because I can relate to him. Everythign he went through with his dad, the "rebelling", the wanting his own life... how he's so empathetic and understanding, and gentle... he doesn't want to hurt anyone who doesn't deserve it and I can totally relate to that.

And yeah. No. It is now 4:30pm and I have been watching since. Its sooooooooooooo good.

And omfg Jared = Pure adorable love. And the chemistry between them is just awesome.

I think my favourite quote so far was in the Blood Mary ep, when Sam turns on the camera and Dean is in the shot, and Dean's like "Do I look like Paris Hilton? *pose*" xDDDD

So yeah.
So obviously everyone's heard about Heath by now. Its a terrible thing and his fans will miss him dearly. I cried when I found out... he was always a favourite. Not *the* favourite, but one of mine. I will miss him as will all of his fans.

However.

People. Stop renting Heath movies like they're going out of style. Yes I understand you're goign to miss him, but what is with his death making people all of a sudden wanting to rent a billion of his movies at once? Almost every single movie he's ever been in is gone from work, and poeple are constantly asking about them.

Why wait until he's dead to see these movies? I know the spotlight is on him right now, but it just seems like his death has made his popularity surge, which is NOT right.

So yeah. Just wanted to comment on that lol.

Oh yeah and on a completely different topic... my house is so dry that my fish tanks keep evaporating like a 1/4 of the water which makes the normal "bubbly trickling" sound of the filter like a goddamn indoor waterfall and its driving me nuts. Its a real pain in teha ss to drag 2-3 buckets of water up the stairs every few days.

Um, is anyone else not geting LJ comment notifications anymore? I seem to be just... not getting them o.O Stupid hotmail or LJ. xD

Soooo. New ep of smallville. I decided to post some observations/opinions/thoughts here. If you watch the show, please comment!

Kara/Jimmy - Too fast. Kara knows (or should know, by now) that he and Chloe JUST broke up, and that CHloe is one of Clark's best friends. PErsonally if I was her, I would NEVER make a move on Jimmy under those circumstances; as far as I'm concerned, he should be off-limits to her (at this point, anyway, until time heals some wounds). I mean, they're a cute couple, but they really should be a little more considerate than that.

Chloe - I will always love Chloe. Yes, the writers are sucking when it comes to her recently, but again, try and put yourself in her shoes. If you had to go through everything taht's happened to her recently, don't you think you'd be a little... well, not normal? After hunting down and almost being killed by numerous meteor freaks over the years, and writing about them constantly through the Torch... Of course she'd be devastated to find out she was one of them. I'm sure she's constantly worried that she might snap and try and kill somebody, and also like her comment to Clark the other episode, that what if next time she tries to help someone, she actually dies? (I think she will, personally, but thats another discussion altogether). Plus with all this constant worrying about her mental state, she has now lost her boyfriend, whom she loved and who could cheer her up almost everytime... Clark's too busy with Lana and saving Kara's *** that he doesnt really have time for Chloe, except for her sidekick duties.... Personally, I think Chloe's getting the very very crappy end of the stick and I feel really bad for her. I can only pray that Jimmy comes to his senses, or that in time she finds something to heal herself.

Clark - Interesting. The whole "its all my fault" thing is typical, i rolled my eyes at that part. Love how he's still a blind idiot where Lana is concerned. Lana may be in love with Clark now, but she's still got the Luthor blood in her, guaranteed she's going to try and do something with that crystal. and yet there's Clark, going TADAAA! 8D xD
I loved his rescue of Kara, and how he immediately forgave her. He knows how hard its been to adjust in however many years (17 ish?), let alone having to adjust when you're already and adult and are being thrown into things when you've only been on the planet for a month or two.

Lana - Sigh, Lana what are you up to now? I think its interesting that she's spying on Lex, but why? To see when he chooses his next mate? Has she been hiding a secret passion for voyeurism? Is it to catch Lex associating with with meteor freaks he's trying to experiment on? Or is it simply because she can, and wants to just spy on him for her own pleasure? Who knows. Questions abound.
I HATE how Lana has adopted that smooth, sugary "you're a dumbass" tone to her voice. It drives me NUTS. Especially with Chloe. Chloe used to be your best friend, don't treat her like an idiot.

Lex - Ah, Lex. I loved Lex to death the first 5 or so seasons. Last season he disgusted me with all he did to Lana, but I'm starting to like him again. Yeah, he's messed up in the head sometimes, but I think he's TRYING to do what he thinks could be right. Yes, he has about a billion alterior motives, but... I dont know, there's something about him that tells me he hasnt completed his evil-badguy transformation yet. (He *is* the main Superman nemisis, isnt he? I never read the comics... *hides*) Btw? Don't use "I was just being a Luthor" as an excuse, pretty boy. =)

Lionel - I like Lionel. Yeah, he's a crappy dad, but I love his role in Clark's life. And clearly, Lionel didnt implant false baby DNA in his wife, as Lex did to Lana. Way to accuse someone less evil than yourself, Lex. But yes. Hopefully he murdered that agent dude and didnt just injure him.

Agent dude - Creeeeepy. I seen him on something else.... Firefly, I think? Creepy. I do NOT like that dude. And way to try and kill your test subject, dumbass. Kinda hard to extract memories when Kara dies. Although I liked his exchange at the beginning when she was locked to the bed:
Kara: You're hurting me!
Agent: Well, if I wasnt hurting you, you'd be hurting me.
(So true! xD)

So.... my questions at the end of this ep are as follows:
What are Lana's true motives? When will she tell Clark? When will Chloe get some redemption from the writers? Will Jimmy learn the truth about Kara and subsequently, Clark? Will Clark stop using Chloe as just his sidekick and spend some time with her? Will Lois actually do something productive? (I miss her being on the show.)

Oh, and when is Oliver coming back? I miss his leather fetish. xD
Gross fast food stories

I was reading through a "gross fast food stories" stie earlier and just thought I'd share some of theses stories... if you've recently eaten, you may want to wait until later to read. o_O

NEVER EAT THE CHILI AT A WENDY'S!!!!!!! I worked there part time in high school and found out first hand how it is made. You ever wonder where all the burnt, old, and dropped-on-floor burgers go? Thats right!!! IN THE CHILI!!! I've even watched the manager scrape the meat chunks out of the grease traps and put it in the chili. When I asked him about it he said, and I quote, "It's OK the customers don't see us make it and it probably tastes th same anyway." Needless to say I did'nt work there long!!
That is absolutely disgusting.

This one is really disgusting, so if you are eating or have a weak stomach please dont read any further. I knew a guy who worked at a fast food taco place and it was very hot one day. The place did not have air conditioning in the back where the food was prepared and he was sweating buckets. He took a flour tortilla and wiped his forehead with it and then used it to make a burito. I never ate there again.
That is SO gross.

And THE most disgusting thing I have EVER heard? :

I have heard of one really really gross story. I don't know if this is true or not as a friend told me this one. Apparently someone ordered a chicken sandwich and upon taking a bite of it found it covered it "mayonaise" She told the server that she didn't order it with mayonaise. Upon closer inspection it turned out the chicken had a large tumor and the may was actually the bursted tumor that had been biten into.
That almost made me puke just reading it O_O

I just stumbled across this article on Tom Cruise today, and it made me laugh. Has he finally gone off the deep end? Or is this just exaggerated gossip? You decide. (Man I sound like a news anchor or something lmao.)

Here's the article:

Tom Cruise is allegedly planning to build a $10 million bunker underneath in preparation for the end of the world.

The 'Top Gun' star, who is a devout follower of Scientology, is said to believe evil intergalactic ruler Xenu will attack Earth and so has designed a place to hide underneath his Colorado mansion.

Wow. This is... intersting. Who the hell is Xenu?!

I want to draw your attention to the following snippet from the article:

Scientology's founder, science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard, claimed extra-terrestrial beings were sent to Earth by intergalactic ruler Xenu, who then destroyed the aliens with hydrogen bombs in a volcano. The aliens' souls attached themselves to chosen humans, known as thetans, who will be one day be saved.

Tom is a devout follower of the bizarre sci-fi cult and has been hailed by leaders of the faith as the "chosen one" who will spread the word of the religion.

I'm sorry, but all I can say is LMFAO.
