Fun Day, Molecular Bonding and A New Friend...

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Hibari Kyouya - CHOMP!
July 15, 2008. Tuesday. SM Megamall.

Roll Call: [info]a_lighter_side. [info]bluecircles. [info]dreamlessness. [info]mlina. [info]mochaholic.

We were supposed to be eight, but [info]yumeyana said she couldn't make it, and [info]richestgrave had to cancel at the last minute because her dad's flight got delayed and the family had to pick him up and celebrate his return home (NINA! We missed you! T_T Aggy said wala daw syang kakampi! XD).

OxxxOxxxO

I closed a deal with a new client really early that morning, and I had nothing better to do until the scheduled meet-up time so I got Blu's Antique Bakery V03 and Sex Pistols' V02 (they didn't have V01, darn it! >_<) and went hunting for new tennis shoes first before proceeding to the MRT. Along the way, I thought of renaming my new phone since Kira-Tsu (Kira II) is a bit taxing on the tongue. So I thought, why not just name him Shuu-chan? After all, there's a Hisagi Shuuhei♥ metallic sticker stuck to the back. XD

So anyway, Aggy and I met at Comic Alley and then headed over to Bubble Tea to wait for B, Noey and Gayz. I was really happy to finally see Aggy again, I was a bit giggly. XD We haven't talked for like, more than a month. I mean, RL talk. X3 As usual, the conversation was fun and refreshing - something that became even more when B and Noey (I missed you guys so much too! Kyaaaa!♥) finally arrived. ^o^♥ By the time Gayz dropped in (3:30 p.m.), with her humongous multi-coloured pointy umbrella (Gahaha! XD), we were ready to move to a better location, deciding on Sugarnot. ^o^

We chatted about pets, fandoms and people... and about macaroons masquerading as doughnuts (Boo!). XD Sugarnot's Minestrone Soup was pretty good though, plus the pesto pasta Aggy picked and B liked was yummy. But still, no matter how yummy the stuff I ate were, I still believe sugar is good - and the world revolves around sugar. Mwahahahaha! XD And I finally met Debbie! For the first time - ever! ^o^ It really feels great to have a new friend. ♥

I guess we all had a very satisfying time spent, and after we parted ways with Aggy, the rest of us proceeded to the MRT (We were headed to just one direction, imagine that!). Okay, so I was kind of relieved when I saw there were very few people purchasing tickets, which meant we would be able to get into a somewhat spacious train, but when I got to the platform, I thought, man, was I ever wrong. >o< There weren't too many people on the platform, but the number of people inside the trains... T_T

We got there around 7:30 p.m., I think, but finally managed to squeeze (LITERALLY) into one at almost past 8:30 p.m. It was like a nightclub/bar's dance floor in some red light district, the number of people stuck in that train - even worse, we couldn't move. At all. T_T It was like, in B's words, "Molecular Bonding". XD I couldn't even feel my feet and my butt was, at some point, pricked by something of unknown origin. I was instantly reminded of a friend's story in which he boarded a packed train wearing a jacket and got off without it. XD Compared to him, we were lucky... relatively. XD

So NO, we're definitely NOT doing that again... unless absolutely necessary. Erm. X3

We'll meet at Trinoma next time... DEFINITELY XD

PS#1: Megamall's Mizuno didn't have tennis shoes in stock, which was a HUGE disappointment for me. Reebok only had one model which was too plain. Adidas also had just one... it was flat, design-wise and support-wise. My only salvation now would be Puma, and maybe Fila, if I like the shoes' support. *sigh* T_T

PS#2: Noey, I lost pieces of my soul to your phone's camera a couple of times already! Give them back! XP

PS#3: It's freezing here, and I feel like a bagworm huddled inside two blankets while working. The thermometer in my room reads 25.8 degrees and it's drizzling outside. It's not as if I hate this kind of weather. In fact, I love it. It's just that all my warm shirts are in the laundry and I have to make do with the thin cotton ones and my highschool PE jogging pants... and hideous thick neon green socks. Meh. XP

OKAY.

I finally finished watching Antique Bakery's first episode, and I have to say that if the file name didn't show the title, I wouldn't know that was it. The art was kind of depressing, for me at least. Well, it's not like it's bad or anything (It's actually good), but it was disappointing that unlike Junjou Romantica and Gakuen Heaven, the anime characters do not closely resemble their manga/game counterparts - at least in full front view. When they turn sideways, they look almost exactly like they should be manga-wise. Almost. XP

I guess that's just how unique the manga artist's style is. I've always admired Yoshinaga fumi's art, and maybe that was what put me off for a good five minutes or so. However, by the time I was in the middle of the episode, I kind of let that issue fade to the background and focused instead on the story. ^_^ It was fun and i just fell in love with Ono all over again - Masshou no Gay or no. ^_^♥

I'd like to see more Chikage screentime and that part where Ono was dancing in the rain. The manga panels don't quite cut the gracefulness that might've led Chikage to closer to Ono, eh? ^o^♥ I have this feeling this is going to focus much more on tachibana rather than Ono, but it's okay. ^_^ I love that ossan anyways. XD

The opening is fun and I love the part where Ono took off Chikage's glasses (They are so perfect for each other, ne?) And Eiji's gonna be up next episode, and I am so looking forward to that winning expression of love he has for Ono's cakes and pastries! ^o^ And of course, the impending fights with Tachibana too. X3♥

Man, seeing all those cakes made me hunger for some... but I can't, I still have to finish some work left. T_T Man... T_T

PS: Oh, and I finished watching the end of Junjou Romantica's first season. ^_^&hearts' That was one sappy episode, but I couldn't help squeeing over it! ^o^♥ I'm definitely getting dvds - and waiting for the next season on September! ^o^♥

Finally - A Great Day. ^_^

Yes, it didn't rain. Not a single drop to dampen (Literally and figuratively) my day of malling. X3 [info]bluecircles and I went malling and we finally got to eat at Almon Marina (There were tons of people last time we met so we didn't get to have lunch there), which made me feel much better since it's one of my fave restaurants. had pastrami and it was too peppery, but I like spicy things so it was okay. ^_^ We talked about pets (Reminisced a lot about Taigra, and then gushing over her pet Chow Chow Chloe - whom, if I may add, needs a *gasp!* seme Fujimiya Ran in her life. XD) and stuff and about the economy and problems with increasing oil prices and the fare hike and *gasp!* my complex love life. So yeah, it was very eventful, informative AND interesting. ^_^

So when I felt better after all that conversation, I had stuff in mind, like Katsura and Hijikata - which if I may add, absolutely look cute as keychains. HOWEVER (Yes, in capital letters...) they absolutely do not like me. I went and got two capsules today, and I still don't have them. Ah, but out of the four I currently have (Because last time we met I got two too) THREE of them are Okita. X3 I mean, I love Okita and all, but hey, he doesn't have to love me back too much! XP maybe he's trying to kill me too because I like mayonnaise like Hijikata - and he's gonna use those keychains to choke me or something, so he could get my manga collection. What?! *defensive* Stranger things have happened! >:D

Seriously though, it was funny, but quite disappointing too. ^o^; I couldn't give another one to Gayzelle (I gave her the other Okita last time), so I decided to just use it. I was actually planning on never using those keychains and just staring at them all day until they melt, but yeah. XD When I got home, my mom saw it and said it was cute, so in the end, I gave it to her. XD Just imagine, a high school Asian History teacher, carrying a bag with Okita Souji dangling from the main zipper. XD I hope her students would still respect her after seeing that. XD

Oh, and the fourth capsule I got was Gintoki! With sleepy eyes! XD He's so cute! Too bad there's no Katsura - or a Takasugi. XD And I want a Hijikata too! T_T These are the two I have left (Under incandescent mode - they look clearer this way. XD). ^_^

So all in all, I had a very refreshing and great day. I finally feel very much okay - though part of me will still yearn for Taigra, the cutest little kitty ever. :)

PS: This was shot early this morning. I think this is Taigra's mom, since they have almost the same colouring (Taigra's stripes were more pronounced) and all. Weird thing is, see the area the cat's trying to peer into? That's the place where I buried the pot holding Taigra's ashes. I felt kind of creeped out but still happy. Creeped out because of the coincidence I said before, and happy because I feel like if that cat is really Taigra's mom, she knows her child is buried there and visiting like any family would... like she really loved herbut didn't have any choice since Taigra's on the weak side already and had to keep the stronger kittens alive.

I have finally forgiven everything and myself. So I feel it's okay to move on and just remember.

[EDIT: OMG. I just realised it's Okita Souji's (Gintama) birthday today! *gasp!* Coincidence?! *points at first two paragraphs of post* O.O]

My tears finally ran out last night. Thanks a lot to you guys (You know who you all are) I'm feeling so much better. *hugs back* :) I have finally accepted that Taigra's not gonna come back and that I have to clean out some of her stuff and burn them as well (I did this morning - so she'll have stuff to use in Cat Heaven - and that includes her Hibari poster). Although I'm still keeping her favourite pillow (The one she slept on, which she'll definitely miss, so I burned a photo of it along with her other stuff) - something to remember her by:

Well, I'm not going to adopt another kitten for a long, long time. Or any other animal for that matter. At least, until I get proper knowledge and better understanding of them cute things. :)

On other news, Gayzelle's taking me out malling tomorrow so I'd feel much, much better (Since she's has a bit of freedom from work too, now that her mom is overseas - she's taking advantage of it, methinks. XD). And get that coveted keychain from Bandai. I hope I get lucky and snatch the ones I like, or I'll be one unhappy (even more) person. X3

And Geoff said he scored tickets to the July 26 concert of Lifehouse at the Big Dome. He said it would take my mind off stuff and have that well-deserved r&r. Be sides, he said he knows how crazy I am about Lifehouse - plus he broke my precious cd before (Yes, that one too, just recently - aside from my Vertical Horizon CD. He likes breaking my things. >_<), so it's kind of like, a present. XD Sweet huh? Can't believe we still aren't having "The Talk", since we're in a kind of going-out-but-not-an-item-yet phase. I think he wants to talk about it too, but we don't have the chance to do just that - we just enjoy each other's company too much that we forget to talk about the stage where we really are at present. ^_^;

Oh, and there was a freaky (And funny, depending on your perspective) episode last night. I was typing away when my computer table just SHOOK. I thought I was just woozy and was imagining things, so I stood up immediately, opened the door and scrambled downstairs to ask my parents if it was just me or the world was shaking. They said they didn't feel anything, so scratching my head, I went back to what I was doing. And then, an hour or so later (Give or take a few minutes), my table shook again. A bit stronger than the first time and I just brushed it off as maybe our resident ghost was just playing tricks on me. Turns out, there really WAS an earthquake last night. Around 4.0+, I think - or less. My mom said they (Along with my dad) were too numb watching some Korean period drama... Imagine that. XP

...Goodbye Taigra...

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Kira x Setsuna: Safe Haven
Just an hour or so ago (It's now 9:42 p.m.), as I was playing Yooyuball (Neopets Plot: ACIII), the phone rang. It was Geoff, and he came bearing bad news. Remember when I said Taigra wasn't feeling all too great since the storm and since I brought her home, she hadn't been as energetic as kittens normally would be? It turned out, J, Geoff's vet friend who had been taking care of her in his family's private clinic for the past week told him Taigra was trying her hardest to hang on but she couldn't make it - she didn't make it.

I was planning on visiting her tomorrow after mass, but after I received that news... I just felt like a huge failure. And I still do. I called J up and asked what had happened, since I saw Taigra just yesterday (Visited her) and she was so sweet and snuggling in my arms so needfully, and...

He said her body had always been weak, since she never had her mother's milk, something very important when raising really young animals. Another thing, although he had given her an ok before, he was worried she wasn't moving about as often as normal kittens would. She just sat around, resting, as if she was tired all the time. Her immune system wasn't built up as fast as he hoped it would, even with the formula I gave her.

He said it wasn't my fault that I lost her.

As if that would make me feel better.

In fact, it made me feel worse. I really feel as if I let her down and even if we had just been together for a short time, Taigra left a huge gaping hole in me. After all, she was my first ever pet I tried hand-raising. I have lost a pet before - a golden retriever - when I was young, but Bogs (His name) was my dad's not mine, so it didn't feel as painful as...

I still have no other plans other than have her remains (And the Hibari printout she loved so much) burnt and have the ashes put into the most beloved of all the lidded porcelain jars I collect. I will seal it and have it buried in the garden where I first saw her. I don't think I can ever look at Hibari and not be reminded of her. I don't think I can adopt or buy another kitten. I don't think my heart can take anymore loss.

May you have peace and happiness in Cat Heaven.

Goodbye Taigra.

Usami-niichan is going to lose his screentime! T_T

Actually, no, this doesn't have anything to do with KHR, I just feel so ecstatic that I finally finished *insert trumpet fanfare here* building Kyrios! ^o^♥ Here is the picture I took early this afternoon after finishing. ^___^♥ (Clearer pictures will be upped tomorrow - when I feel less giddy and be able to take better ones. XD)

And I just made some stuff for my best friend's officemate who wants me to make pieces for her, to be shipped to Dubai soon. ^o^

I had a lot of fun doing this first set and I'm totally psyched to make the other three ASAP. Inspiration kicked in because of everything I made, watched and heared earlier today. X3 The earrings are still undone, since i'm debating on whether to just do a stud or just let them dangle. Hmmm... what do you guys think? ^___^ I'm going to make an extremely modified version (have them patented too) of this for spring and summer and put it up in my shop for ready-made sale later this year. ^_^♥

Oooh, speaking of my inspiration for those pieces, I watched the NHK program that featured my favourite mangaka EVER - Inoue Takehiko! And it was such an awesome experience just listening to his thoughts, his principles and his absolute GENIUS! The one thing he said that touched me so much I can't get it out of my head is this: "I don't want my characters to lie to themselves... they make decisions on their own on who they are and not what's good for the story."

Isn't he just amazing?! Very few mangaka/writers do that, since most of them sell themselves out, and as a result, the characters lose their purpose. He treats his characters as if they're living, breathing beings, not just things he writes/draws to earn him money or please majority of the series' fans. It's like he does everything because he wants them to live their own lives on every piece of paper he draws on (He never lets his assistants draw his characters - he does EVERYTHING by himself!♥), and that makes him truly unique, truly inspirational and truly genius. ^_^ It shows on his works too. He's more character oriented and he puts a lot of care that his characters' emotions are laid out for everyone to see. He paints them such that no one gets left behind and all are given lots of time to grow as the story progresses.

Some of his masterpieces are:

1. Kaede Purple
2. Slam Dunk
3. Real
4. Buzzer Beater
5. Vagabond

And if you guys start reading, you'll never put the volumes down, I swear! ^o^♥

All in all, I think I've just been Keroro-fied (Keroro Gunsou). Look for the person with a frog face and human body tomorrow... that might just be me. XD

I found a lot of AWESOME stuff today, and this is one of them - the Gundam Kyrios. Ahhhh... all for the love of my precious orange Kyrios. Too bad Allelujah can't be constructed like this too - it would be awesome! XD Geh, I feel like Keroro (Keroro Gunsou) right now, but it's okay. I'm actually excited! ^o^♥

I'm so looking forward to creating the perfect Gundam model in the history of Gundam Model Making! GAHAHAHAHA! I was staring at the kit after opening the box and I thought, damn, that's a LOT of plastic pieces to connect! And they're small to boot! T_T I think I'll be able to finish in one month... or maybe, if a miracle happens, finish in one week - WITHOUT SLEEP, seeing how I am with directions - location or in this case, procedures. XP

Gotta rest - play Yooyuball at Neopets before sleeping.

AH! and read Gintama too before sleeping - I need more GinZura/TakaZura dreams to make me even happier. XD♥

I just love the way the sky looks after storms. It looks so refreshing and so... clear. ♥

This was taken using Kira II, and I'm a bit disappointed with how it looks. Nokia 6120 Classic is a phone first, Smartphone next, music player third and camera last. The lighting must be perfect to get good coloured pictures (Rick said everything looks "Shrekified" under low light. XD)- but it takes awesome monochromes (Sepia and b&w) at any time though. Night Mode is okay too. ^_^ I'll just wait for the purple Exilim I asked Mau to purchase for me on November, to get better shots - and yes it must be purple. XD♥

Met up with my cousin and we had a nice long chat, helping her a bit with her work too. ^_^ Conceptualising and stuff. So, anyway, we went to Toy Kingdom and my eyes just zeroed in on the Gundam Models at the back. And what did I see? A 1/100 model of the Gundam Dynames! Ah, my precious, precious Lockon Stratos!♥ I was looking for a Kyrios with the same size, but NO, they didn't have any! They only have that frustratingly small 1/144 size model and I was so disappointed! T_T I am going to get the Justice, Savior and Aegis Gundams that size soon, but NOT the Kyrios, because it's the second model that I adore in my history of drooling over mecha series! Too bad. T_T

The guy in charge of the area said jokingly that only the Virtue, Exia and Dynames were in 1/100 because I don't care for them much. XD Oh, but he's wrong! XD I'm gonna get the Dynames when I find that elusive 1/100 Kyrios in other Toy Kingdom stores in other SM Malls... and I told them to hold that one for me, like reserve it. And they said that since people in the area don't seem too enthusastic over 00 (they like Seed and Destiny better), the stocks aren't too depleted - but they're gonna reserve one for me anyway. XD♥

And I am so gonna do virtual voodoo on the goy who bought the only one they had - a couple of hours before we came in! >___<

Gah. ToT

Gonna get a new phone tomorrow and my dad offered to come with me. XD My mom said we should bond since we were having emo-problems a little while back, so I think tomorrow's gonna be a great day. ^o^

AH! Speaking of phones, I decided not to get the Sony Ericsson W660i. I thought the new Nokia 6120 would be a better buy, you see - it's a smartphone even if it's so small! And it features 16M colour screen! isn't that amazing?! ^o^ It has qQuickOffice too, so I can read fiction when I'm out of the house and bored! ^o^ Isn't it amazing?! ^o^♥ Never mind that it looks bland - the features are WAy better than the W660i which only capitalizes on looks and it being a Walkman phone. >:P

Independence Day has finally come - and ironically, people aren't free from their jobs - and even school. Gasp. Swoon. Faint.

Way to go Philippines.

Well, technically, it isn't really our forefathers' fault. Just the present government, actually. I know it's good for the economy to just extend the weekends (because consecutive days off means more time for people to spend money that is nonexistent anyway, seeing the present poverty rate), like what they do every single time there's a historical event marked permanently on the calendars. Like the celebration proper of Independence Day was moved this Monday, which was absurd since it was just the 9th. They said itws like hitting multiple birds with one stone (is that even possible? O_O), since there was a celebration AND it was the day before the start of another school year. Boo. Hiss. Gurgle.

So now, when a friend of mine who teaches elementary students asked when the Philippine Independence Day is, one inadvertently (and proudly) answered: "The second Monday or Friday of June!" >o<

Good going, dear, dear President! You just managed to scramble historical event dates! I'm sure your dad, a former president, is so proud of you - wherever he is. Applause How come you can't do that when it comes to the evil minds of your cronies and proteges? Cackle.

On a happier note...

YUMMY NEWS! Kit and I had a chat over YM early this morning - around 12 a.m. to roughly 3 a.m. and talked baout gaming. I've never been much of a gamer mainly because the Gaming Industry is conspiring against me, rarely (More like NEVER. Boo. >_<) letting me finish anything. So I just let my friends play and I watch. A pretty boring thing to do, but I focus on hot, hot, fictional 3D men and I'm satisfied. XD So, anyway, back to our chat, he brought up this PSP game "Crisis Core" which is the prequel to FFVII. It focuses more on Zack Fair 7 years before FFVII proper. It's pretty amazing, when I saw the videos and the game caps. Here are some from the Silent Tweak website (Click thumbnails to view):

One thing I know:

No matter how awesome Zack is and how much I like him, no matter how cool Angeal is, no matter how cute I think Cloud and Genesis are... I still find Sephiroth so evilly hot, thus, like him BEST. Not as much as I love Vergil (DMC), but close.

So there.

Now I need to borrow from Kit so I could play (And hopefully this time, I'll finish the entire thing.)! ^o^♥

Gahahahahaha! X3♥

Naruto just managed to kill off my brain cells.

Now I need to read from the beginning (And I mean BEGINNING) so I could grasp everything, look into everything from a newer perspective... until everything finally makes sense.

And now, Itachi seems like the best person in the whole wide world. And Sasuke just managed to get back into that small compartment of my brain that just screams for sympathy, patience, understanding, and... well, understanding.

I feel like crying for them.

No, scratch that... I just feel like crying.

Period.

Oh man...

Hibari Kyouya - CHOMP!
Well, I've finally met up with Gayzelle since Indy IV. And I had a lot of fun with her friends (And now mine too), Loffy and Grace. ^_^ We ate at the Tempura Grill and went around shopping for disposable stuffXD (For Gayzelle's mom) and tagged along while I look for a new phone with cam. I thought I should just wait for Mau on Sept and buy the HTC Diamond too, since it's like, a month-long sale at her place around that time and then buy either an Olympus or a Canon (I have bad experiences with Sony T_T) camera here instead. My stupid cousin isn't giving the one I ordered online to me and just said he would pay me for it and keep it. Which is, I guess, okay. ^o^;;;

Anyway, bought a new Samsung Keyboard for Mr.K, along with a new headset and a new mouse. Which cost a lot, but seeing how happy Mr.K looks with new stuff stuck into his sockets, and how happy I am using them, well, they're worth it. ^o^♥

Again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY [info]bluecircles! I had tons of fun and I hope we all meet again soon! ^_^ I won't be shedding skin by then, I hope! XD
