Fun Day, Molecular Bonding and A New Friend...
July 15, 2008. Tuesday. SM Megamall.
Roll Call:
a_lighter_side.
bluecircles.
dreamlessness.
mlina.
mochaholic.
We were supposed to be eight, but
yumeyana said she couldn't make it, and
richestgrave had to cancel at the last minute because her dad's flight got delayed and the family had to pick him up and celebrate his return home (NINA! We missed you! T_T Aggy said wala daw syang kakampi! XD).
I closed a deal with a new client really early that morning, and I had nothing better to do until the scheduled meet-up time so I got Blu's Antique Bakery V03 and Sex Pistols' V02 (they didn't have V01, darn it! >_<) and went hunting for new tennis shoes first before proceeding to the MRT. Along the way, I thought of renaming my new phone since Kira-Tsu (Kira II) is a bit taxing on the tongue. So I thought, why not just name him Shuu-chan? After all, there's a Hisagi Shuuhei♥ metallic sticker stuck to the back. XD
So anyway, Aggy and I met at Comic Alley and then headed over to Bubble Tea to wait for B, Noey and Gayz. I was really happy to finally see Aggy again, I was a bit giggly. XD We haven't talked for like, more than a month. I mean, RL talk. X3 As usual, the conversation was fun and refreshing - something that became even more when B and Noey (I missed you guys so much too! Kyaaaa!♥) finally arrived. ^o^♥ By the time Gayz dropped in (3:30 p.m.), with her humongous multi-coloured pointy umbrella (Gahaha! XD), we were ready to move to a better location, deciding on Sugarnot. ^o^
We chatted about pets, fandoms and people... and about macaroons masquerading as doughnuts (Boo!). XD Sugarnot's Minestrone Soup was pretty good though, plus the pesto pasta Aggy picked and B liked was yummy. But still, no matter how yummy the stuff I ate were, I still believe sugar is good - and the world revolves around sugar. Mwahahahaha! XD And I finally met Debbie! For the first time - ever! ^o^ It really feels great to have a new friend. ♥
I guess we all had a very satisfying time spent, and after we parted ways with Aggy, the rest of us proceeded to the MRT (We were headed to just one direction, imagine that!). Okay, so I was kind of relieved when I saw there were very few people purchasing tickets, which meant we would be able to get into a somewhat spacious train, but when I got to the platform, I thought, man, was I ever wrong. >o< There weren't too many people on the platform, but the number of people inside the trains... T_T
We got there around 7:30 p.m., I think, but finally managed to squeeze (LITERALLY) into one at almost past 8:30 p.m. It was like a nightclub/bar's dance floor in some red light district, the number of people stuck in that train - even worse, we couldn't move. At all. T_T It was like, in B's words, "Molecular Bonding". XD I couldn't even feel my feet and my butt was, at some point, pricked by something of unknown origin. I was instantly reminded of a friend's story in which he boarded a packed train wearing a jacket and got off without it. XD Compared to him, we were lucky... relatively. XD
So NO, we're definitely NOT doing that again... unless absolutely necessary. Erm. X3
We'll meet at Trinoma next time... DEFINITELY XD
PS#1: Megamall's Mizuno didn't have tennis shoes in stock, which was a HUGE disappointment for me. Reebok only had one model which was too plain. Adidas also had just one... it was flat, design-wise and support-wise. My only salvation now would be Puma, and maybe Fila, if I like the shoes' support. *sigh* T_T
PS#2: Noey, I lost pieces of my soul to your phone's camera a couple of times already! Give them back! XP
PS#3: It's freezing here, and I feel like a bagworm huddled inside two blankets while working. The thermometer in my room reads 25.8 degrees and it's drizzling outside. It's not as if I hate this kind of weather. In fact, I love it. It's just that all my warm shirts are in the laundry and I have to make do with the thin cotton ones and my highschool PE jogging pants... and hideous thick neon green socks. Meh. XP
