Well. It's been a while. As mentioned before, I went to Japan, fumbled my way through neither speaking nor reading the language and acted generally like a tourist. It's suprising how little English they speak there, though. Makes me think I should have concentrated a little more in my Chinese classes as a kid, perhaps I would have been able to read some of the characters.

Oh, the crowds there...made me feel like just standing and staring. It seemed like at any given time in Shinjuku station, it was a solid mass of people. Apparently 1.5 to 2 million people pass through it daily. In Singapore, where I used to come from, the busiest station is called Orchard Station, and moves a measly 400,000 to 500,000 people daily. Seemed almost deserted.

Off to Singapore for about three and a half weeks after that, to see family and such. Egads, extended family. They are so weird. Did absolutely nothing there but shop and eat. Makes me feel like I'm living the consumerist dream. Yikes. Spending time away from brothers and father truly doth make the heart grow fonder.

Right now, school's four days away. Just ten months until I finish!

In an unproductive mood. Sub-Artic levels of motivation for my violin. Teacher's going yell at me. Currently sulking over my portrayal of Deidara as an air-headed brat. Apparently, he's actually cold and manipulative, but the scanlation groups made him rather petulant and bratty. It's funny, the fic I wrote that I hate most, "Of Feathers and Bricks", people like the most. Gah. The more I read my own work, the more I hate it.

Fandom of FFVII. A little experiment with second person that turned out better than I thought it would. Follows Zack's angry, rambling thoughts as he and Cloud escape from Nibelheim. Run-on sentences of doom, though, for effect. Zack seems slightly OOC though, a little too dark and angry.
