Is this some kind of joke? I may support Obama, but that doesn't mean I look for every chance to bash McCain supporters. To be truthful, I think they would both do an excellent job running our country (I just believe Obama would do a bit better).
That disclaimer aside, the following is a direct quote from musician Pat Boone during an interview about the presidential race:
"Sen. Obama, I think, showed his lack of judgment by not choosing the best-qualified woman that he could have chosen as his running mate, one who had already proven able to get 18 million votes. He passed, and he took Joe Biden, who has been in the Senate longer than McCain, which doesn't bespeak change. Meanwhile, McCain chooses a highly qualified, attractive woman, and I think it just shows that the "Big O," or, as I like to think, the "Big Zero," has missed his golden chance. I think he will lose because of this."
Now, allow me to bold the parts that bug the crap out of me:

Point A - I deeply admire someone who can choose a future running mate based on qualifications and ability to support the main canadite's weaknesses best. On the other hand, I deeply disgust any person that makes such an important decision about everyone's future for a temporary gain in votes and nothing more.
Point B - Obama COULD HAVE gotten those 18 million Hillary votes, but he didn't get distracted by vote counts and instead looked at who was the ACTUAL right choice.
Point C - From all I have heard thus far, Sarah Palin is nowhere NEAR highly qualified. She hasnt even served a full term as governer yet, not to mention she has a new baby to occupy much of her time (or 2 if she's going to take care of her daughter's baby), and I just now learned there's some kind of abuse of power charges she's currently facing in Alaska.
Point D - The fact that this guy suggests attractivity and sex as part of the credentials of VP is disgusting. It also suggests that McCain is simply going for women voters.
Final - If everyone has the backwards logic you do, then yeah Obama will lose. I am only hoping they dont.
