Well, long time no posting I know, but I thought I'd come back and update myself. Still playing World of Warcraft, in a really good guild, mastered MC and BWL and tackling TAQ at the moment.

My character profile is saved here!

Muahahaha, just when you thought I'd never post again....... Here I am!

Well, I thought I'd give a little update. Still playing WoW quite a bit, altho it's not quite as addictive any more. I've spent a bit of time in the real world watching Buffy and Firefly repeats to break up the monotony of countless dungeon raids.

My main character is now a level 60 Gnome Warlock. She is kitted out in some pretty cool stuff. As well as that I have a Warrior and a Mage I'm having quite a bit of fun with lately.

Since the latest patch they have made a lot of the dungeons quite a bit easier to do in 5 man groups so myself and a few friends have been concentrating on that this past couple of days. We managed to complete the Barov deed quest, and the chain which enables you to see the ghosts around the town of Caer Darrow outside Scholomance. That was pretty fun. Very very hard, but fun! Next target is completing some key quests in Stratholme, and hopefully get my panties drop from the Baron! I might keep you updated.......... :p

I am officially crap at keeping this journal up to date. I originally started it when I was really into Final Fantasy, and starting to get into role play more. I tried to keep the journal as roleplay as I could. But I started to fail, and found I couldn't express myself as well as I'd like to have done. As time progressed and I started to lose my passion of Final Fantasy I found I just couldn't keep up, and so here we are today, with a journal that I really wanted, but just don't have the energy to keep up with.

So I think I'm going to close this journal now. I'm happily playing World of Warcraft with many friends I've known since the days of Diablo 2 and Dark Age of Camelot. You can view my profile here but I'm not sure how long that will stay up as the site doesn't appear very stable.

Thank you to everyone who has been following the adventures of Shhy.

So, a little update. The European beta for World of Warcraft finished last night with a spectacular bang, elite mobs raiding cities, death and carnage and fire raining from the sky everywhere, it was great! Now, we just wait four days for official release! I've added some screenshots to my links on the left here, and will try to be a little more talkative in this journal from now on, I promise.

In the Euro beta I played a Tauren Warrior. I wasn't really keen on Warrior to be honest - it feels like an unfinished middle-of-the-road type class. I took it to level 40 just because I couldn't be bothered to start a new character and do all the starter quests all over again and fall behind my friends, and altho it was fun, I wish I could have tried out a Mage a bit more, or prehaps a Shaman. We deliberately chose to play the Horde in beta, as we are going to play Alliance in retail. So we wanted to keep everything as new as possible when we play for real. As of now, Shhy the Tauren Warrior no longer exists in this world, but I did have fun with her, even tho she was completely gimped!

So, this is the end of an era for the Final Fantasy XI live journal.

Although I didn't do half as much as I wanted to, I've decided not to return to the grind, and instead spend a little time in "real life land" before World of Warcraft hits Europe.

I'll be back in the New Year with some new adventures, but in the meantime it's goodbye from Shhy the Mithra, and hello to...

I quit!!! Arghh, the pain!!! The shivers, the cold sweats, I'm going into withdrawl... someone call a medic!!!

Must ... resist ...

Ok update. So I'm taking a break. 75 Bard, 37 Red Mage, 37 White Mage, 35 Paladin, etc etc etc signing out for a little while. Seriously I must take some time off. If any of you read my "real life" blog you'll know why.

And besides that, I think I need time away to let all the noobs either grow up or leave before I attempt to level my Summoner in the dreaded Hell Dunes, because if I enter that place one more time and see ONE thing wrong, I will chop their heads off with a spoon, I mean it!

See you again!

To quit, or not to quit... that is the question.

Look at my new booties!!!

I guess I had fun this morning. Went to help someone find a coffer in the Temple of Uggalepih, but I got bored very quickly after. Hmmm, I don't know what to do.

I'm back! WoW was great, and I'd seriously consider moving there when it's released in Europe, but for now, that's going to be months away, so back to FFXI.

I joined a linkshell called Bluesteel, they all seem very nice at the moment, and quite a lot of familiar faces in there I noticed. I'm on a two week trial so we shall see how we go. Oribit will just not move fast enough, and since most have now left for other HNM linkshells I may as well do the same or I'll end up running in circles in Jeuno and muttering to myself.

I plan to level Paladin some more today, and hopefully a linkshell hunt will be planned soon so I can get back to having fun with Bard. Still looking for those JSE booties.....

Excitement aside, I'm taking a little break at the moment, in World of Warcraft.

I feel as if I've hit a brick wall right now with FFXI. I joined a brand new HNM linkshell, only to see people leave after a few days, Oribit seems to be going through some troubles, so I'm really unsure of their future right now. I like a lot of the people in Oribit, but at the same time none have ever been high enough for me to party or go on hunts with. Now, as they all grow higher in level, they start leaving. A lot have applied to Arch Dominus (as did I), some went to Aurora, some went back to previous linkshells, so what is the future for a linkshell that people use to get to a certain level and then leave? I joined it mainly for the people, and now they are all gone, so I don't know what to do.

Anyways, World of Warcraft here I come, and will stay until the end of beta. Then we shall review the situation.
