Also went snow-shoeing yesterday up on
Seymour mountain. Battery died even before the halfway mark. Apparently, I was either a bad boy and used a crap battery or the cold weather really sapped all the charge out. I was using an IS lens in low temperatures so perhaps it really was the cause.
Man, I really should edit my photos before posting. I'm such a lazy bum.

Managed to get morse code text input working on my laptop!  It's a pretty good way of re-learning how to program in C and morse is just geek-chic. These last few images have been taken when Reiko and I went on our little mini-honey moon into the gulf island. Somehow, this staircase with uneven steps seems so appropriate for the pace and coziness of the islands.
