When you rearrange words in sentences, it's always good to make sure you get all of them involved in the change. Otherwise, you end up with gems like this:

*G* I just won my first award for a fic fest that I didn't even realise was giving awards... and for a fic I posted over a year ago. lol! Um, I can't really tell even how these "winners" were chosen. Doesn't look like a popular vote was done, but it could be buried in a post I haven't found. I was part of round one of the fest which has been over for some time. Anyway, I'm not going to worry about it. Not like it's going to go to my head either way. *griiin*

So, I haven't really been talking much here lately about some of the things that I've been up to. I've been pretty much on unofficial haitus from ficcing for a while now, and I rid myself of responsibilities from fests and other obligations in January. Save the random whim to write every once in a while, I've really only been doing two fanish things lately, and one (Ever-Fixed Mark) was really born of the first one, Far From Grace. I've been playing Remus Lupin (primarily) there since November, and am really quite enamoured with the game. I think we've got great writers and story lines going, and we recently decided to try and fill out the cast a little bit more. So, without further ado, for those interested...

Far From Grace is a livejournal-based an alternate universe Harry Potter Marauders' Era Role Playing Game. It began with the death of James Potter at the hands of Peter Pettigrew and explores how the world changes for his loved ones, friends, and enemies. It is a game intended for serious players interested in strong characterizations and character development, as well as involvement in plotting and story-lines. We have been going strong since November 2007, have a great group of core players, and are looking to get a few fresh faces!

Because we fell in love with the pairing of Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew while writing these characters in an RPG, but were afraid of flooding the game, we decided to embark on a fic exploring the Marauder's last year at Hogwarts. What started as a simple way to sustain our ever-growing Lupin/Pettigrew love in between writing game scenes, grew into something much larger than we ever expected. Ever-Fixed Mark examines the possible consequences of Peter falling in love before leaving school. Will he make the same choices as he did in canon? How far will he go to protect the person he loves? Will he still betray his friends?

I had a wonderful birthday dinner and went to a good movie, and got to hear my ADORABLE niece say "happy birthday, Jenn" on my answering machine, and I will tell you all about it later. But I bought myself a birthday present of both season one of Metalocalypse and season one of The Office (US) for my birthday and they call to me now to spend what's left of this day with them.
