A huge tire hit our house!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
It was at three this morning when I was sitting on the couch, happily playing the Tomb of Quadopolec (sp?) on Tomb Raider: Anniversary. Harry was sitting on the floor near the couch, and my mother was reading off the instructions on what to do in the game for me, since I'm not a fan of reading while playing. Suddenly, we hear this crash, like there's a wreck. We don't think much of it, because accidents have been known to happen on the road that I live on. We hear another crash a few minutes later, and then the house shudders a bit as there's the crash of breaking glass. My mom and I are like "What the fuck??" and we rush out to see what's going on. There's a tire sitting beside our porch. Not a regular tire. It's one of those huge tires that goes on construction equipment. The garbage can has been knocked over, is halfway in the yard, and trash is just EVERYWHERE. Seriously. The neighbors are standing near their car, going "O__O". What happened is some people decided it'd be a good idea to roll some huge-ass tires down the hill that's right in front of my house. The first tire veered off to the side and hit our neighbor's car. That was the first crash we heard. The second tire hit our trash can, rolled up the ramp that's attatched to the porch, and crashed right into the outside wall. It did some extensive damage.

It's really lucky that my mom was out here, because if she had been in bed, can you imagine what it would've done? She probably would've been hurt. Harry always sleeps with her, too, and he's always hugging the outside wall, right where the tire hit. He probably would've died. There was so much glass, too. It was absolutely crazy.

Heeeeelp!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
There's this game that I used to be, like, totally addicted to. It was a religious-themed game, where you choose either the side of good or evil. You create minions, who are either angels or demons, depending on what alliance you chose.

You train your minions, who gain points via battles won. You can also sacrifice your minions to the deity, to give yourself more money and more faith, and whatnot. You can also recruit followers, so you can get more faith. Um, yeah.

I cannot remember what the game is called! >_< Does anyone have a clue?

So, I've started writing a story.

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I wanted to post the first chapter of a story that I've started writing, after thinking about writing it for so long. XD Um. It's not very good, but the story'll get better. This is more of a prologue, telling how the adventure begins. Anyway!

Here it is )

Baby Kitty's gone.

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
As everyone probably knows, Baby Kitty's been sick for quite awhile with kidney failure. We were going to put her to sleep about a month ago, but she had a turnaround. She was starting to act a lot better, so we held off.

Well, a couple of days ago, Baby Kitty started going downhill again, and hard. She couldn't walk straight. She could hardly stand on her own four legs. By the end of it, she wasn't eating or drinking anything. She kept meowing really quietly and pitifully, like she was begging us to do something. She was so cold, too. She couldn't hardly even hold her head up.

My mom woke up this morning, and she saw Baby Kitty. She wasn't moving at all, but she was still breathing. She tried to get her to move, tried to give her some food. She tried everything, but she just laid there.

I'd known that she was on the brink of death last night. That's why I stayed up until 8 am petting her, and telling her how much I loved her. I just held her close and kept her warm and comforted, telling her what a good, beautiful girl she was.. and I made her a nice, comfortable bed to sleep in.

But anyway.

So, my mom wakes me up at 10:30, and tells me that Baby Kitty's doing worse. I'm not surprised... but, we take her to the vet. We decided that it was time to put her to sleep. It really was quite peaceful. She just closed her eyes, and stopped breathing. I just petted her and told her what a beautiful girl she was, and how much I loved her as she was dying....

I'm so sad. T_T

COME TO DADDY

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I remember, back in around 1997, I was watching MTV one day. A video came on, and it scared the SHIT out of me. I found that video. It's still creepy, but not so scary to me anymore. Anyway. Here it is!

Watch. Comment. Tell me what you think.

Oh!

And Baby Kitty's still with us. Her health improved a lot. ^_^ I know she's still sick, but at least she isn't in pain right now.

May 12th, 2007

*siiigh* :(

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
As a lot of people probably already know, my cat is sick. Baby Kitty, the poor thing, has kidney failure. Since we found out that she has it, her condition has been just getting worse and worse continuously. Her teeth are bad, so she finds it hard to eat anything. My mom and I do the best that we can for her, but she's still stick-thin and she just looks really bad. You can tell she's suffering, too. She hasn't cleaned herself in months. All she does is sleep. There are nights that she just wanders around, meowing pitifully.

Well, we've both figured that enough is enough. Baby Kitty's been through enough pain. She's spent enough sleepless nights in discomfort. She's spent enough days not being able to eat anything because of her rotted teeth. It hurts to see her hurting so much. It's selfish to keep her around because we don't want her to go. If she's not gone by Thursday, we're going to have her put to sleep.

For awhile, I was just like "Well.. there are days where she acts like her old self." I'm just deluding myself, though. Those days are becoming fewer and fewer and farther between. More often than not, she's suffering. I don't want her out of my life, but it would be cruel to allow her to hang on if all she's doing is suffering. So, yeah...

I'm sad.

February 10th, 2007

Well, here I go a-postin' again.

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Another month has come and gone, and yet, things remain the same. I figure I'd put a little something in here, just so people wouldn't think I'm dead or something.

I'm finally back on my night shift most of the time. Nothing really groundbreaking there. It's better, though, because I'm not so tired all of the time. I've been trying to lose weight here lately, and I actually think it's working a little bit. If I could get off my butt and do some excersize, it'd work a lot better, I'm sure. Oh, and if I could stop eating junk food. I don't eat it like I used to, though, so that's definately a start.

I've been sort of lonely here lately. I miss Oscar. I had to find out he had a girlfriend by his livejournal. Shame on you, Oscar, for never dropping me a line or anything! T_T Shaaaame. But, seriously, if you read this, please do drop a line.. unless, like.. you hate me now or something. If you hate me, tell me so I can be like "What?!" and mope.. or whatever. I dunno.

Oh, and Lavvy! It'd be nice to hear from you again. I know we didn't talk too long, but the talking we did do was super-fun. So, yeah.. you drop me a line, too. Or not. If you don't want to. :P

So, yeah..

Well, all's going pretty well right now. Hopefully things look up, even though they're not looking down. They're just sort of looking horizontal. Nothing's changing. Oi. How boring.

But at least it isn't heart-wrenching!

November 23rd, 2006

Grr!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I agreed to babysit my neighbor's kids a couple of days ago. She was in a bind, and she just needed me to do it that one day. I was going to do so for free. I didn't want to, because I don't like kids too well, but I did it just to be nice.

So, I get up at 9 this morning, and I go over to her house. I was standing out there for 30 minutes, half-asleep and cold, knocking on the door. At 9:45, I gave up. I called and left a message on her phone, asking her to call to tell me what happened.

About two hours after that, I hear noise on the other side. I go over, knock on the door, and her son answers. I go in, and this guy who she has over sometimes comes into the living room, telling me she's still asleep. I told him I was supposed to watch the kids while she went to school today. It turns out she decided not to go!

I was so irritated. I got up about four hours before I usually get up, go out of my way to help her, and she just decides that she doesn't want to go to school that day. She has my phone number. I'm ten frickin' steps away from her place. She couldn't have called me? She couldn't have came over and told me?

That's the last time I try to help her.

I got yelled at today. o_o

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
There was this woman who was walking around today, and she looked suspicious. She had a huge purse, and it was open. I'm supposed to look for those kinds of things, because someone might be stealing something. I went up to the woman and asked her if she needed some help. She looked at me in a weird way, and shook her head. She wouldn't look at me. I thought that was odd, so, I started inconspiciously following her. She went down aisle two, so I started folding some clothes that was near that aisle. I could see her, but I wasn't actually watching her. Well, I was doing so out of my periphreal vision. She hung around there for awhile, and she then went down aisle three. I moved a bit, so I could still see her, and started folding the other side. She came down aisle three, and she started heading towards the checkout, so I asked if she was ready. She said she wasn't, in the same way that she said she didn't need any help. Then she left cosmetics for awhile. She came back after a few minutes, and I sorta watched her out of the corner of my eye. A few minutes later, she started heading back towards the checkout. I thought maybe she was ready to check out, and I was going to catch her and ring her up if she got in the line, since it was sort of long. She went down the next aisle, though, so I was about to say that I could ring someone up, when she came back.

"DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM," she yells. "No ma'am," I reply. "I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND I DON'T APPRECIATE IT! YOU THINK I'M A THIEF! WELL, I DON'T NEED TO STEAL! I'M RICH! I'VE BEEN COMING HERE FOR A LONG TIME!" To that, I reply "I wasn't following yo-" She cuts me off. "YES YOU WERE! I WATCHED YOU! YOU WERE FOLLOWING ME! EVERY AISLE I WENT DOWN, YOU PEEKED YOUR HEAD DOWN AND WATCHED ME! I SAW YOU!!!" and she goes on for a bit, and walks away. That was really sort of embarassing, because there were so many people around. Really, I was following her, but the way I did it was really quite inconspicious.

With the way she reacted, I would have to say that she probably was going to be doing something. If you're innocent, I really don't think you'd notice the workers around you. At least, that's my opinion. I told one of my managers, and she said that I did nothing wrong. I was in the right. So, if Ms. Thompson gets a call, I'm in the clear.

The rest of my day was really good, though. =D

November 9th, 2006

Today was.. interesting.

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
When I went into work today, Mary told me that Mirsada got a new position. She's going to be a manager. That means she's not going to be my boss anymore. Both Mary and Mirsada tried to persuade me to put in for SBA, but, I really don't want to do that. It's not a fun position. I did it for a week, and that was more than enough for me. Ew. I'm going to miss Mirsada, though. I really will.

During my lunch, there was this huge black and white speckled spider making a huge web right outside. It was near the bench I sit on, so I was just staring at it, freaking out. I have arachnaphobia. ;-; So, I get Matt, and he plays with the spider for a bit. He accidentally knocked it down, and he was like "Aw, hell. I killed it!" About twenty minutes later, though, the spider rolled over and scurried its way over to the parking lot. Matt didn't kill it. He just knocked it for a real loop. Maybe it'll make its web in a tree, where it should be. XD

Now, here's what I really want to talk about. There was this lady who came in today. She seemed pretty nice. I rang her up, and she said how sweet and pretty I was. I thanked her. Then she started talking again. This was when things got sorta weird. She talked about how guys really liked having bigger women in bed, because they like putting their heads between our boobs and all this sort of stuff. I was just like "o_o Yeah.." And she talked about how people who insulted her, well, she insulted them right back. Which, I don't know.. I'm not into the whole eye for an eye thing. I'd rather turn the other cheek, be the bigger person. She said some really nasty things about some people.

Oh! She told me that she had special powers. She told me that she could see ghosts and angels. I can believe that. She said that she had telekenetic powers. I could believe that, too. She then told me that she could make things happen to people if she thought about it hard enough. She was a white witch! =D She could do all sorts of good things for people. She never hurt them.

Unless that person is her husband, of course. Apparently, she used her powers to break his ankle because he wouldn't fix something that she wanted fixed. He was walking down the steps, and 'crack!' his ankle broke. She made a car fall on him when he was fixing it. How a person could survive a car falling on him is beyond me. Oh, and she made a tree limb fall on her husband's car on a really windy night, making it all broke. To tell you the truth, I think those are all coincidences.

So, she's ranting on and on about her husband. Saying how he calls her a fat bitch, and all this stuff.. and he's a preacher. She said that she wouldn't divorice him, because they have 500k tied up in stuff, and she didn't want to lose any of it. She was talking about how he would be dying soon. She had a dream about him preaching a sermon (Yes, this man is a preacher), and he had a heart attack and keeled right over on the pulpit.

That woman scared me. T_T

On another note, though.. I walked three and a half miles at work today. Can you believe it? Psh. And my doctor says I don't get any excersize at Walgreen's.

October 30th, 2006

It's been a fun-filled week! =D

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Mirsada was on vacation all last week, so I was in charge. Well, not really, because the managers were always interfering. Hardly anything got done at all that should've been done. Mirsada's not going to be a happy camper tomorrow morning. Oi.

Today, Mr. Rantz came in, as grumpy and abrasive as ever. He didn't say much to me until about half an hour before I was supposed to leave. He called me to the stockroom, to bitch at me about some stuff that was still in there. He pointed out some totes, and asked what they were, why they weren't worked. I told him that they were some cologne sets and some stuff for a reset. I was going to have Savo do it when she came in, so he was like "Oh, so Savo has to do all the work now?!" How can he say that? I've done a hell of a lot of work. I did a revision, I worked the bay, I put a shitload of stuff into the bay.. and, yeah. Then he asked about some pillows. They're called I-Pillows. I had asked another manager about them, and they said that they weren't mine. I told Mr. Rantz what the other manager said, and he was like "They're pillows, so they're yours! You can't just leave them there! You've got to find somewhere to put them!" Then he asked me about some winter clothes. Ms. Thompson, the store manager, had told me to leave them, and someone would take care of them. I told Mr. Rantz this. He said "It doesn't work that way! You can't just put stuff on the floor and wait for the magical fairies to put them up!" That comment about the magical fairy comment would've been funny if he wasn't so damned nasty about it. Then, there was some bottles of cologne that someone had put at the bottom of the bay. He was nearly screaming at me when he said that I couldn't leave it like that. I should've known better than to put them up in that way. I informed him calmly that I wasn't the one who moved the cologne. He then said "Well, you had better fix it, Jean! Those bottles are just asking to be broken! Do it!" Then he went storming off. This was all in a half an hour before I had to leave, and there was no way that I could get all of that done. I had to do it, though. So, I start working on it, and then Savo comes in. She helped me finish up, so I only left a half hour late. Hurray.

Seriously, I'm thinking about starting humming the Mr. Grinch song in his presense. I wonder if I could get some other people in on it. I wonder how he'd react. Any way he does, it'd be classic.

And yes, this journal entry was basically just some relief from my aggravation with Mr. Grumpy-butt.
