I'm worn out today and I seem to have misplaced my "I know this method works" exporting notes, so now I'm ticked off, too. I did export a file, and it's decent enough quality and pretty small, but I'm not sure you guys are going to be able to see it. Nonetheless, until I figure out my old way again, I've linked to that one here. Please let me know if it works for you. I'll edit the post when I get the other version up.
Day 3 of the IDVP brings me my first movie vid, ever.
poshcat suggested a Jurassic Park vid set to Guns N Roses "Welcome to the Jungle." Awesome idea.
Welcome to the Jungle (7.8 MB)
ETA: In case that doesn't work, you can try this link. Same size file, a little worse in quality though. Should run as a QT file with no problems. WTTJ. Really, though, try the top one first.

Lyrics
You know where you are?
You're in the jungle, baby
You're gonna die
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
watch it bring you to your knees, knees
in the jungle
welcome to the jungle
feel my, my, my serpentine
In the jungle
welcome to the jungle
watch it bring you to your knees, knees
in the jungle
welcome to the jungle
watch it bring you to your
it's gonna bring you down
Ha!
I'm by turns pleased and disappointed by this vidlet. I didn't do anything fancy this time around (see above: worn out & frustrated), and the original idea I had for it didn't come to pass at all, which is disappointing because it looked a lot cooler in my head. However, I like that the T-Rex is the narrator. It's like a little love story between Sam and Rex. Hee. Well, it amuses me, at least.
The first part is trying to introduce Sam's character and how he gets to the island. Then when the lyrics start up, that brings in our narrator, the T-Rex. They encounter each other over the course of the movie/vid, Sam is a hero (aw, catching the little boy!), and then T-Rex is a hero (aw - he eats the velociraptor!). They both end up alive and happy, although they are separated.
Theirloveissoprehistoric.
I'm tired. Leave me alone.
I learned one big thing today and that was how to get widescreen bars back on a shot I've zoomed. There's a Matte filter called 'widescreen' that you apply to the clip, and then (in this case) select 3 to 1 ratio and use the offset tool to center the clip better. Voila. I was extremely pleased to find that.
I only ripped source up until today, so tomorrow morning I expect to go on a source-ripping frenzy. I made a list of when I'm going to do each vid, and this afternoon I wrote down what episodes I need for my next two vids. The week after that is still wide open, though.
Actually, this is going to be a busy weekend in general. Lots of Christmas-preparation activities and we have to clean out the other half of the garage so I can finally pull my car in as well. Because OMG it's COLD up here. Highs in the *40s*. My SoCal blood runs thin.
