| | The Exies - Slow Drain | ] | So Kevin calls me from his cell a little while ago. He's ecstatic. He tells me about this awesome promotion Wendy's is currently running in partnership with AirTran Airways. Basically, here's the deal:
If you don't have an AirTran Arilines A+ Rewards account, you can get one free at www.aplusrewards.com.
1. Buy either a 20 oz. drink or a 32 oz. drink and get one coupon. 2. For every 4 coupons you get, you receive 1 AirTran reward point in your account. 3. 16 AirTran points entitles you to one round-trip flight anywhere in the continental U.S. 4. You're allowed to submit a maximum of 128 coupons (two flights).
There is a 5-drink maximum per visit, but that's easy to get around.
Let's do the math. A 20 oz. drink costs $1.16 after tax. Sixty-four of these drinks earns you a round-trip flight. Total cost to you: $74.24.
So, for $148.48, I can earn 2 round-trip tickets to anywhere they fly. I have to use these tickets within one year, but that's easy. I fly 5-6 times a year, usually to Vegas. This is perfect.
Am I missing anything?

Barry, come over here. I want to talk to you.
i just printed out the rules to give it a go..i have an A+ acct with Airtran already. It looks legit. The only negative I see is that most Airtran flight interchange in Atlanta. Looks like they do have a non stop to Vegas from Akron/Canton (CAK).
Akron/Canton to Vegas non-stop is the key!! :OD
So glad I saw this. I went to Wendy's today for lunch and bought a 99cent Chili. Asked for water in one of those cups since there's nothing there I care to drink, and picked up 2 more cups from people about to throw them out. Good deal.
Sweet!
You'll be flying in no time!

Isn't that awesome? The Wendy's across the street from work isn't taking part in the promotion, though--dammit! But the Belmont Avenue one is and I'm slurping up, trust me. Coolness, huh? Like I don't drink that much Diet Coke as it is--without the added incentive. HA! | |
