8:03 am - Story: I'm not dead yet! I feel happy!

FINALLY did some more work. I'm feeling in an OFic kick too, so probably more on this and also maybe some stuff for SJ (because I am feeling extremely guilty about that one).
Basically, a little while ago I reread chapter one and while I knew there were a lot of things about chapter one that sucked, I forgot just how many and was depressed. Chapter two is beautiful as ever (as much as it can be, unedited, at least), but one and three were looking icky and I just could not in good conscience start chapter four with them like that.
Rewrite time.
Chapter three was actually in better shape than I remembered because I did a partial rewrite halfway through writing the chapter and because I came up with so many nifty things, like "i-SKARIOT". :D I may not play many video games, but I have friends who do and I read MegaTokyo a lot (just got vol. 2!!), and that sure as hell looks like a cool video game name to me. I love it when I can come up with names that don't sound contrived.
Anyway, chapter one caught the brunt of it (still is, in fact). Basically, I'm commiting mass infanticide and the twenty page chapter is going to get sliced down to maybe half that. I am pretty much taking out ALL of the secondary character backgrounds because they are useless and time-consuming and I will rewrite the sighting the pack scene, because I have NEVER liked how that turned out. I am also refining the characterization work I did for Jone in order to correspond to what he seems to be coming in later chapters.
Aside from that, chapter two is brilliant. I am a god. The atmosphere is perfect. The timing conveys both the humour and the tragedy of the situation. His father is characterized simply and perfectly. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I realized while trying to write chapter three that it was way overdue for me to scribble out the layout of the city. ^_^;; Can't have Jone wandering around without being able to visualize his wanderings.

Two is officially finished! ^_^V
I am now about three paragraphs into three. It is interesting. ^_^ I still haven't a fucking clue where four will take place. Oops.
Ah well, five is even worse off I suppose.

By the way, pretty Jone icon now in effect. ^_______^ It is stolen from a scanlation of Cutlass by Game Over or Continue. I forget the character's name but he has a sexy mullet and so does Jone. Jone's other character reference is Sagara Sanosuke from Rurouni Kenshin.

9:45 am - chapter two

One is definitely finished, though I am going to go back and cull out some of the information given on Jone's friends--that can wait for later. And two is almost complete! A paragraph or two more and I will be into three. ^_^ A few interesting things I didn't expect popped in two, and I really have no idea where three will end up wandering too, so I can divulge nothing on four as I have no clue! The only thing I can say is that at some point there will be a chapter with Long showing up at Jone's apartment and that might be four or it might not.

9:18 am - God, almost there

The end is in sight! I am thisclose to finally getting to the end of chapter one, an ending I've had planned for months. After this, I pretty much know what I want in chapter two, though it's a little sketchy. Basically, he and Daddy get into a big ass fight down at the station and background is developed. Third chapter. . . even sketchier, but Jone on his day off. . . rain, grey skies, no friends, maybe a bridge.
After that, I haven't the foggiest. ^_^;; Mayhap Claw will molest him in his apartment. :D I thought of a really disturbing thing to do with a used, full condom.

I created this journal because I am hedonistic and I wanted a special account for every RPG character I have. ^_^;; The lj I use for the RK RPG is my main journal and the one I use for all my normal gabbing, but I don't like having two other journals (the ones for my original character RPGs) sitting around useless. So I was thinking, if these journals are both about original characters that I am actually writing fics about, why not use these ljs as status report/bitching/brain storming journals for each fic?
Ta da. This is my special lj account for No Man, a fantasy/sci fi/romance/action/political bitching story. :D
