| I was just wondering |
[19 Sep 2005|12:10am] |
Well, I have finally been able to watch the complete season of Wonderfalls. I know, "it's about time!" Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has compiled a list of the songs that were played through the duration of the show. I've been trying to piece them together and was wondering if anyone could shorten the task for me.

So after the Tru Calling complaints here I thought I'd watch an episode or two to see what I thought of the show. Guess who was on one of the episodes--William Sadler (a.k.a. Darrin).

Did anyone see the preview of The Inside (the new Tim Minear show w/ Katie Finneran & Adam Baldwin) that was shown during 24 and House? I missed it. I'm curious what Katie's character was like?

As some of you know Tracie Thoms is filming Rent right now. While browsing through some sites I found some candids of Tracie!
Idina Menzel >> If you click on the link labelled "Rent Candids", which should be flashing to the right of Idina, you'll find a couple of cute candids of Tracie ... and her big hair!
Just thought I'd let you guys know. ;D

All right... so here's the deal. Hi!
So, as everyone else has, I bought the DVDs. I was going to go for ebay, but that wouldn't really help revenue for the show, and I'd have to deal with risky sellers, paying shipping, and worst of all... the wait.
So I shelled out the money at Wal*Mart the first moment I saw it on the shelf.
I've watched a disc per night for the last three nights, not wanting to just stop watching. I figured since it was about 4am by the time I finished watching a disc each time, it wouldn't be wise to pop in another, cause I'd be there for another three hours. But hey.
Anyway. My thoughts. It's sort of depressing, in a way, watching the "Greetings from Wonderfalls" feature on the first disc when the creators start talking about the "third season" plans and the story boards. I would have really liked the show to make it that far and be able to see the creative paths the show took. It sucks to see plans for something and thinking "wow, that's so cool!" but then have reality set in that it's just not going to happen.
This was a great series though. Any show that can keep me up for all hours of the night watching episode after episode is a good show. But what's the best part about "Wonderfalls"? The ending. The fact that the creators and actors went back and ADDED an ending to the final episode. That they actually CREATED an ending that would make viewers happy. Give the show some sort of conclusion. Even though it was slightly a "clean" ending, what more can you expect. There's not much room for a whole 'nother episode to bring a conclusion to the show. And so I am thankful that the time was put in to actually have an ending to the series. That's what made this DVD worth all the while for me. It wasn't just left open-ended as shows such as Tru Calling (if Fox didn't bring the show back), or Caroline in the City, where the show just ENDS where it was canceled and no further episodes were created. I'd have been severely disappointed had this series ended with Eric walking away with the wife and Jaye simply looking back. That would have made a great season finale... but not series finale.
I guess all I really have to say is: Great work to the entire cast, crew, and creators of "Wonderfalls" on a successful series. I applaud all of you.

We watched the first two discs last night. My husband moved his head to the beat every time the theme song came on, which (if possible) made me love him even more. It's the only reason I didn't speed through the song--I like the song, but it gets stuck in my head for days/weeks at a time. I know I'm behind & you guys probably discussed this stuff to death before I joined the community, but: I was very displeased that Aaron broke the cow. I like the cow. I know people have moved on to other projects, but is there any chance whatsoever that Fox will see the potential for the series through the DVD sales and decide to beg everyone to come back and make more episodes? Has that ship sailed? My favorite moment thus far is still when Jaye answers Eric's phone.

| Wonderfalls DVD |

I just recently bought the DVD set, and I have fallen in love with the show. I am sad because it was not really given a long enough chance to see if it could last on TV. I stand by my opinion is saying that it is too good for television! I wish that it would come back on the air and provide us with more seasons of the quirkiness that the show is becoming known for. <3
