Hello! I'm back in Canada for a short while. It's pretty exciting because I'm making my return to the Maritimes with Mainstream Wrestling after a 3 year absence. I'll be doing a 12 day tour through Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. I've always loved the Mairtimes and I know this tour is going to be amazing. In Nova Scotia I'll be facing an old rival, X-Ray Kyle Cruz, to warm me up for a new rival, Nattie Neidhart. I haven't had the chance to step in the ring with Nattie yet, but I'm looking foward to it. I had the chance to meet her in Japan last October and see her wrestle. I didn't imagine at that time that we'd get the chance to face one another. The Newfoundland wrestling fans won't know what hit them. Neither will Nattie.
My history with Kyle Cruz goes way back. He was my main rival for a good chunk of 2003. I remember a sweet victory I had over him in an intergender bra and panties match. I'll never forget his humiliated scrawny ass running back to the locker room in a thong and lacy bra. Does anyone have a copy of that match? Besides our moments of ridiculousness, we actually had a strong rivalry and some great matches. Nova Scotia had better be ready for us.
The tour starts Tuesday and I'm more prepared than ever. I hope to see some familiar faces out at the shows. Cookie (my cat) had to sit this tour out; she's looking after my apartment in Monterrey.
Everybody take it easy, Sarah

Can I talk about my kitten for a minute? This cat is crazy. She can be really sweet once in a while too, but half the time she's just spazzing out. She's started playing this game where she stalks me when I'm about to fall asleep and then attacks my face. Yeah, it's a really fun game. Don't get me wrong, I love her a lot and I feel so happy when I see her. I love it how she meets me at the door when I get home and all the attention she gives me. But I'm begging you guys for some suggestions as to how to get her to change her habits. Maybe she's just a kitten and will grow out of it, but I sure as hell don't want a full-sized cat playing ping pong with my eyeballs. The Mexican cure, so I'm told, is to rub habanero pepper all over me to dissuade her, but the truth is, that burns more than her claws do. So anybody with some discipline ideas, please drop me a line. Or even if you're a cat lover like me I would love to hear from you and trade cat stories. And if Adam is reading this, I will NOT beat her up in a doughnut shop, so don't even suggest it.
On to wrestling-related stuff...I had a match last Saturday on Dragonmania, which was put on by Ultimo Dragon's Toryumon promotion. It was a great time and an electric atmosphere. I tagged up with India Sioux to take on 2 Japanese girls, Mima Shimoda and Hiroka. It was a nice change of pace from the Mexican style. This Friday I have a match in Arena Mexico, only this time I'llo be teaming up with Shimoda and Marcela to take on Hiroka, Amapola, and Medusa. I'm curious to see how pissed off Amapola still is that I won her mask. Should be interesting. That's it for now, everybody take it easy, Sarah

Hey everybody, it's been way too long! I'm still in Mexico. The past couple of months got really busy really fast. When it gets hot like this a lot more arenas open up, which means more work and more travelling. And more fun. there have been some pretty amazing moments, the most important one being that I put my hair on the line in a Hair vs. Mask match on the 14th of April in the Arena Mexico against Amapola. Let me make it clear that this match was rough. For those of you who don't know much about Lucha Libre, a Mexican wrestler's mask is something of great importance. It signifies so much to the wrestler who wears it. Losing it in a match means that they have to reveal their identity and one never knows how the fans will react to a wrestler without his mask. His mystery is taken away from him. And for those of you who don't know much about me, my hair is also pretty important. Obviously, to lose my hair would mean a new image and would change the perception that people have of me. Either way, the loser faces a lot of changes and potential damage to her career. To add to the pressure, this was the first time in the history of the arena that a match like this between women had taken place. It was a brutal match and I took a lot of punishment, but in the end I surprised her with a Tiger Driver and immediately put a painful hold on her known as the Reinera and she just couldn't take it. The match ended with my arm raised and the ultimate trophy in my hand, Amapola's mask.

I remember a year ago at this time I was doing everything I could to just get an opportunity with CMLL, at a time when they weren't even using women wrestlers. To be the first woman to unmask her opponent in this historic arena proved to me that the effort I've made over the past years has not been for nothing. Of course I was wearing my red and whites for all my fellow Canadians.

The rest of the time my life is divided in two, the times I'm in Monterrey and the times I'm not. When I'm outside of Monterrey it means I don't stop moving. I'm racing from one show to another, eating almost exclusively at 7-11, and sleeping when I can on buses between cities. I always end up getting back to Monterrey feeling worn out and a bit battered. When I'm in Monterrey, although I still have shows here, I'm much more relaxed. I have some free time to do the neccesary things like laundry and sleeping. My "days off" are loosely structured; I start each day training wrestling and then go to eat and do whatever else needs to get done. In the afternoon I usually go for another training session, this time with weights, or I go for a run. There's a huge park here called Fundidora with a 3.4 km track. It's actually a race track (for cars) with a lot of twists and turns, and it's a beautiful place to run because of the view of the Cerro del Silla, one of the most impressive mountains in Monterrey. If you're a running fan, you'd love it. With the temperature hitting above 40 degrees here, it's an amazing workout and great for conditioning.

I got a cat! A little siamese kitten. She's so cute. She's almost 9 weeks old now. And since it's Mother's Day tomorrow, I have the right to brag about my new "child". I take her on the road with me and she never complains. I think she likes exploring as much as I do. I also got a new bed, but that's not half as exciting.

That's it for now, I promise I won't take so long for my next update! Everybody take it easy, Sarah I

A brand new year. It feels great to sit down and kind of do an inventory of 2005, what got done and what still needs to get done for 2006. I got back to Mexico yesterday and it feels great to be here again. I had a really good rest with my family over the holidays and now I´m ready to get back to business. As I look towards 2006, I thought I´d make a little list of my 10 most memorable matches of 2005. I hope you enjoy it.

10.) May 29, vs. Princesa Sugehit in Durango Mexico in a submissions only match.

I loved this match because we had a chance to really show some of our skills. Sugehit is always a tough opponent and she definitely challenged me to raise the caliber of my wrestling in this very technical match.

9.) June 24, vs. Hiroka in Arena Solidaridad, Monterrey Mexico.

I really enjoyed this match. Hiroka and I went at it. Since this match I´ve been waiting for the chance to take her on again in a singles match. It was also memorable because it was the debut of the FFLL (Federacion Femenil de Lucha Libre), and held the promise of more opportunities for women wrestlers in Mexico. It was a great night with a lot of talented girls, including fellow Canadians Shantelle and Aurora, as well as Simply Luscious from the States, Hiroka from Japan, Princesa Sugehit from Mexico, and several other girls. It was truly an international event and I was happy to be invovled in it.

8.)March 20, vs. Princesa Sugehit in Arena Coliseo, Monterrey Mexico, for the FILL Championship

This match was for the FILL (Federacion Internacional de Lucha Libre) Championship. The match ended in a tie when both our shoulders were pinned for the 3 count. Sugehit and I had been feuding for so long and the crowd was ready to see it come to a head. When we ended up tying, it fed the fire even more and the people were determined to see a winner. We both plead to the comission to let us go one more round to decide a winner, but they refused to change the decision. I ended up winning the title 5 days later in a rematch, but for me the win didn't compare to the first match we had. It was just a really exciting match and we were both giving it our all.

7.)May 24, vs. Burrito in Arena Coliseo, Monterrey Mexico

This had to be one of the most hilarious matches I have ever had. How often do you get to wrestle a donkey? El Burrito bet me $1000 that he could beat me. We made the deal that if I won, he would pay me $1000, and if he won, I would have to wrestle one more round with him while wearing a bikini. He was pretty confident. But guess who walked away with the 1000 beans and kept her clothes on? That's right. Me.

6.)July 29, Arena Mexico, with Princesa Sugehit vs. Amapola and La Nazi

This match was a memorable one because after so much time feuding, Princesa Sugehit and I got the chance to wrestle together as a team. The alliance didn't last long, I guess we have too many issues, but we worked really well together to take on these two. Maybe in the new year she'll accept my challenge for a hair versus mask match so we can put a final end to this feud, or maybe we can put aside our differences to form a wicked tag team.

5.)Nov 29, 2005, vs. Mariko Yoshida in First Ring Arena, Tokyo Japan

From the first minute I saw her train, I was impressed by Mariko and wanted the chance to take her on. I was lucky enough to get the opportunity. It was a really tough match and she ended up defeating me with her signature hold the Spider Web. Although I didn't win this one, it was a really strong match and I was pleased with my effort and determination.

4.)Dec. 7, with Samantha Slides versus April Hunter and Pyro, Winnipeg Canada

How can you beat wrestling in your hometown after a two year absence? The front rows were filled with my family and friends. I was overwhelmed by their support. This match wasn't exactly a stellar match for me, but it was extremely memorable because I was finally wrestling in Winnipeg again. It was also my first opportunity with AWE, an incredible promotion that is just getting bigger and bigger.

These last three are hard to put in any specific order. They were all really important to me and were experiences that are burned into my mind and memory as some of the highlights not only of the year, but of my life. So here they are.

3.)April 16, versus Amapola, in the Arena Coliseo in Mexico City

This was a show put on by the wrestling magazine Luchas 2000 to celebrate the 62nd anniversary of this arena. I really consider this match to be the one that gave my career in Mexico a huge push. Besides having an excellent match, it was an opportunity for the fans of Mexico City as well as the bookers from CMLL to see me. I was enthralled to have a match in such an important arena for such an important event. I'll never forget it.

2.)July 1, with Amapola versus Lady Apache and Marcela in Arena Mexico, in Mexico City

What could be better than this. Wrestling my first match for CMLL in one of the most well-known arenas in the world, and on Canada Day. I'll never forget how I felt stepping out from behind the curtain and seeing all the people there and hearing their support. It's a feeling that is indescribable; I felt on top of the world.

1.)Sept. 16, versus Marcela for the CMLL Women's Championship, in Arena Mexico, Mexico City

It seems some of my major matches have been on major holidays, this time on Mexican Independence Day. Imagine going up for the CMLL Women's Championship against a Mexican on their big day. The whole night was Mexican-themed, with Mariachi bands and the whole deal playing throughout the night. Marcela won the match, but I will always remember the feeling of having such and important match in front of a capacity crowd in Arena Mexico. It was even more special because the CTV program W5 was there taping a documentary on me. In 2006 I will be training hard for the chance to take her on one more time and show her what Canadians are made of.

I hope the coming year is filled with new memories and great matches. Everybody take it easy, Sarah

How long has it been since I've written? Thanks for not giving up on me. I don't know where to begin, but I am back in Winnipeg again after a year, and it feels amazing. The same day I got into Canada, I had a match with AWE here in Winnipeg. The show was awesome, there's nothing like being in front of a home town crowd after not wrestling there for 2 years. The front rows were packed with my family and friends, they were really going crazy and giving me so much support. My Mom, Dad, and little brother Gid even had my t-shirts on. I ended up having 2 matches that night, I took out Pyro in the first match and then tagged up with Sexy Samantha to defeat April Hunter and Pyro in the second match. I actually had a pretty strong rivalry with Samantha back in 2002 when we were wrestling for Can-Am Wrestling all over northern Canada. We know each others' wrestling style, so we made an incredible tag team and really worked together. It is so good to be in Winnipeg, even if it's just for a bit. I've been hanging out a bunch with my 2 brothers and relaxing with my Mom and Dad. And tomorrow I'm off to visit my sister and nephew for a few days. YAY! I got my nephew a wicked Christmas present too. I guess I have a couple of weeks to just kick back and relax, although I got a month-long membership for a gym close by to use for the time I'm here. I'm going to need it, my Mom's doing a bunch of Christmas baking. Out of eveything, I think the sugar cookies are the most delicious, but the dough tastes even better. I'm hungry. Hi everybody, thanks for your patience, it's been a while since the last update. I just got back from a 3 day tour outside of Tokyo. 3 victories, against Shibutani on the 28th, with Maekawa to defeat Nishio and Kana on the 29th, and against Kazuki on the 30th. I had some great matches and I went out for some great food. I'm having a hard time adjusting to Japanese food, I don't eat much fish besides tuna, but I found a great place that sells something called Sumibi, basically rice with a chicken breast and some hamburger meat. On the tour we went out for Korean barbecue, they bring you plates of raw meat that you cook on a little fire in the middle of the table with some really good sauces. That was the best meal I've had since I got here. I also went out for steak last night, it was amazing. I'm a big steak fan, it's got to be one of my favourite foods, along with jellybeans and blueberries. But not all 3 together. Still training lots, in the dojo and also at my gym. I'm back on a really solid weight training program and seeing some good results. I plan on coming back to Mexico looking better than when I left. There's a new fanzine online called Gaia, it includes a story about a mexican wrestler. My image is being used as Gaia and it looks really cool, if you read spanish you should go take a look, http://www.gaiahistoria.freespaces.com, there's a little clip of me wrestling at the bottom of the page from the Toryumon show in the Arena Coliseo in Mexico City from this August. Some exciting news, I'm going to be wrestling in Winnipeg for the first time in over 2 years on the 7th of December for AWE. If you're in the area make sure you come check it out! In the meantime, I'll be here, I'll update again soon, everybody take it easy, Sarah

Hi Everybody. Today has been incredible. I had a day off of training and I switched accomodations. I moved out of the dojo and in with one of the girls to an apartment. I loved the area where the dojo was, but this is even better. I went wandering today after I moved all my stuff in and found a gym. I've been training lots with the girls at the dojo but there are almost no weights there. I figured I'd join this gym for a month and use it on days off or when I feel like hitting the weights. I got shown around the gym, it looked pretty good, so I joined. Well, I am absolutely amazed at this gym. I went and had a shoulder workout and then went to the stretching area afterwards. What I didn't see on my tour of the gym were the massage machines. They have 4 different types. I tried out all of them. The best by far was the massage bed. You lie down on it and 2 great big rolling bars roll under you and move your body all over the place like a worm. It felt so good, I spent about 20 minutes on that one. I was shocked that there was no line-up for it. I felt like I was in paradise. They also had massage chairs that massage your whole body. I've seen these before, you pay a buck for 5 minutes at the mall. Same idea. They had another one which was like a big rolling cylider that spun around really fast and you just rest your hurt body part on it. I think it's used mostly for the feet and calves. Then they had the massage belt that you strap around your waist or rear end or wherever and it shakes you all over the place. I'm sure nobody cares too much about the massage equipment, but if you're a wrestler and you're reading this, you know the value of a good massage. And if you're not, well imagine. After that treatment, I felt like a noodle. I stumbled around for a few minutes and finally made my way upstairs to the locker rooms. I definitely didn't see this in the guided tour, but there was a jacuzzi and sauna too. As if I wasn't relaxed enough already. But I indulged and I felt like I was floating. Now I wasn't just a noodle, but an overcooked noodle. To finish things off, I had to try the cold bath. It's right beside the hot tub, and it's basically just a big tub of ice water. It's strange, because when I went in, I didn't feel cold, like chilly cold, I just felt my whole body go numb. Maybe it was the contrast in the heat of the sauna and the temperature of the cold bath, or maybe it was all the massage, but sitting in there I started to feel a really strange sensation, almost like I was on a different planet. It was the best natural high I've ever felt. Needless to say, I'll be back to the gym every day, even if it's just to indulge in a little pampering. I'll have to make sure I work out hard to earn it. I guess that's it for today, I have my next match on Sunday. I'll let you know how it goes. Everybody take it easy, Sarah

Hi Everybody, just a short update. I finally have a moment of rest. I've been training hard here. The typical training day starts with and hour and a half of basic training. No wrestling training, just physical preparation. We start out by running, then jumping rope, then going through strengthening exercises for almost every part of the body; neck, back, legs, abs, push-ups, that kind of thing. We take a short break for lunch and then continue with wrestling training. A lot of drills. The training is intense because the girls scream with everything they do. It reminds me of when I was training Muay Thai; every time we kicked we'd have to yell. So I think I'm adapting well. The weekend was great. Saturday we travelled about 6 hours outside of Tokyo for a show. I paired up with Maekawa to defeat Hotta and Sachie Abe. I learned a lot in this match. Hotta has over 20 years of experience and she's got kicks from hell. I had to pull out some of my kickboxing experience to defend myself. That was fun, I haven't fought like that in a long time. I think the people liked it too. Today I took part in the Only One Tournament in Korakuen Hall and was defeated by Nioshi Mika. I had a good hard match. I'm exhausted but happy. I have a day off tomorrow, so I may do some more exploring. I had forgotten that there is a Tokyo Disneyland. I thought I saw it today, but it turned out to be Korakuen Park. It had some terrifyingly enormous rollercoasters. Maybe I'll try to get there tomorrow. I'll keep you updated, everybody take it easy, Sarah

Today's been an interesting day, I just got stopped by the Japanese police for riding a stolen bicycle. THAT was an intelligent converstion. "Me no stealy, me shopping. Me love Japan." They kept telling me "No your bicycle". Obviously it's not mine, I didn't get from Mexico to Japan on bike. It had been lent to me. It finally got straightened out. On to more relevant things, I had my first match yesterday. I teamed up with Mariko Yoshida and we took the victory over Sachie Abe and Kana. Parts of it I loved; it was awesome to go in there and fight really hard, hit really hard. The fans are very different from Mexican fans. I especially noticed it after the match when they asked for pictures. They don't rush you like in Mexico. If a fan is with you, the next fan who wants a picture waits politely until after the first one is finished. There is a lot less physical contact, not one of them tried to kiss me or hug me! The girls here are really well trained and really effective in everything they do. I was impressed by them. The show in general had a very different feel, everybody arrived 3 hours early and got together before the matches to pray and throw salt over their bodies. I didn't really get it, but nobody speaks enough English to explain the ritual to me. After the show there was a meeting with everybody, and of course I didn't understand anything, but I'm sure it was very informative and enlightening. I have a day off today, so I'm just exploring a bit of Tokyo and commiting bicycle crimes. I'll keep you updated, everybody take it easy, Sarah

Hi everybody, you deserve a long entry. I haven't written in a long time. I got into Japan yesterday. i can't believe I'm finally here! The flight was really relaxing. each seat had a personal TV, so i watche Bewitched and lots of Friends and Two and a Half Men reruns. I slept very little, but i listened to music and Just zoned out. Upon arriving, my first impression was that it is very humid and green here. it's not too warm or too cold, just kind of perfect. I arrived at the A to Z dojo and was impressed by the size of it. It's like a big warehouse with a ring and weights. Upstairs there are small rooms. I had a REALLY good sleep. They are 16 hours ahead here, so it's about 2 in the morning back in Monterrey. Everything is different here. My bed is small and hard and a bit like a crib, with protecitve rails on the sides so I don't fall out. It felt really good on my back. I don't know what i expected in terms of food, but I was happy to see that the bananas are yellow and the apples are red. This morning I woke up early and went for a run and tried out the ring. I'm in a suburb of Tokyo and the area is right beside a river, so I kind of feel like I'm at the lake. I acutally feel really good here. I fell asleep happy last night. I met some of the girls today and had an interview with Gong magazine. My first show is Monday and it will be a tag match. I'm getting excited for it. At the dojo, there is a \tv channel called the Samurai channel, and it is all fighting 24 hours a day. It show lots of Japanese wrestling, but also Pride, Kickboxing, and even CMLL. I'm going to go watch a New Japan show tonight. It should be interesting, Brock Lesnar is making his New Japan debut tonight. I'm really tired, i hope I can stay awake for everything. I'll keep you updated on everything. This computer keeps switching to Japnese font every couple of minutes. Okay, everybody take it easy, I will write back soon and let you know how things are going. -Sarah

Hi everybody, the Anniversary show for CMLL has come and gone, but I've barely had a second to breathe. I travelled all night to get to Torreon for a show on Saturday night and today (Sunday) I've been running around to all different sorts of locations in Monterrey with the crew from W5 to film parts of my life for the CTV documentary. At last I have a minute to sit down and tell you about the most exciting night I've had. The atmosphere Friday night in Arena Mexico was absolutely electric. For starters, it was Mexican Independence Day. Everyone was in the mood for a fiesta. In front of a capacity crowd, I had the most important match I've had to date for the CMLL women's championship. Marcela came out first carrying a huge Mexican flag and wearing red, white, and green. The crowd went wild. When I stepped out from behind the curtain, all I had in my mind was to give one hell of a match so that, win or lose, I would prove that I deserved to be fighting for this title. And we battled. The match had a bit of everything. We went at it on the mat, we exchanged holds, flights out of the ring, and devastating power moves. I honestly fought my heart out, and I hope I showed the Mexican fans that I haven't been wasting my time here. At the end, Meacela stunned me with a brain-rattling German Suplex, then picke me up by the hair to deliver her Michinoku Driver, which put me out for the 3 count. Congratulations to Marcela, she is a deserving Champ and I know that next time I get the opportunity to fight for the title I will be even more prepared. I'm still hurting from the match, but the I've got a couple more matches today and tomorrow before I can give my body a little rest. We'll talk soon, everybody take it easy, Sarah

Hi Everybody, just a quick update to let you know how I'm doing. I'm in Monterrey for just a couple of days to unwind before headig back to Mexico City. The CMLL women's tournament took place on Friday, myself and Marcela stayed as the 2 finalists who will be battling it out next week for the CMLL championship. My strategy is to go back to Mexico City to prepare in the higher altitude. Once I get there the plan is to train, eat a lot, and sleep like crazy. Marcela is an incredible wrestler. I know this match is going to be one of my toughest. It's going to be a busy week. CTV, a Canadian news station, will be coming to Mexico to film a documentary on me and my life as a wrestler for their program W5. I can't wait to welcome them. I'll let you know how the match goes on Friday. Everybody take it easy, Sarah

I need a pet. Today I was 2 inches away from buying a puppy on the street. He was really cute and stole my heart. The vendor told me he was a dwarf and would be perfect for an apartment, but I couldn't help but notice that he was just as big as the Siberian husky puppies and his paws were even bigger. Then I noticed he was crawling with fleas, so I changed my mind. But it got me thinking that it would be really nice to have a companion. Ideally I would like to have a cat. They can more or less take care of themselves and are a lot less damanding. Plus, they purr. I'm just trying to decide if it's fair to take an animal with me everywhere I go. I'm doing a fair bit of travelling, so it would be a bit difficult. But I really really want one! Let me know what you guys think. Yes or no, dog or cat? I had a couple of very busy weeks. I think I've seen more of Mexico in the past couple weeks than the entire time I've been here. I especially liked Aguas Calientes, a very clean and pretty city. Puebla is really breathtaking as well because of the architecture. Tomorrow I'm taking part in the Toryumon show, Ultimo Dragon's promotion. I'll be tagging up with Amapola to take on Lady Apache and Marcela. I expect it to be a very good fight. Then it's back to Monterrey to do my laundry. I think this week coming up is pretty laid back. I'll use the time to get in the ring a lot and prepare for the CMLL Women's tournament on the 9th for the Women's Championship. That is going to be a fantastic tournament taking place in Arena Mexico. Some of the participants will be Marcela, Amapola, Princesa Sugehit, Lady Apache, Sahori, Hiroka, and others. Any fan of strong women's wrestling will want to attend the event or try to get a copy of it. Okay, that's it for now, if you're reading this Mom or Dad or Ethan or Gid or Cyn, I really miss you guys and I can't wait for Christmas. Everybody take it easy, Sarah

Hi Everybody, I finally have a couple of days to relax here in Monterrey. Okay, not relax, but do everything that needs to get done. It feels really good to be back here. Monterrey is really starting to feel like home. It's not Winnipeg, but I've gotten pretty attached. I had a busy week, including a victory against La Nazi and Amapola in Arena Mexico. When I heard that I would be tagging up with Princesa Sugehit, I didn't know how she would behave during the match. We've had such an intense rivalry for so long. To her credit, she was a total professional and focused on the win, not on our differences. I really think that we make a good team; we had to work together to take on these 2 incredible opponents. The same night was the launch of the 2nd monthly edition of Super Luchas Grafico. It features a lot of new pictures of me as well as a detailed analysis of my career, abilities, and weaknesses. The other half of the magazine features Ultimo Guerrero. Buy the magazine, I promise you won't regret it. Cathy made some new wallpaper, beautiful work Cathy. Check it out in the forum. I'm getting geared up for another trip to Mexico City. All this time I thought I was high on life but it turned out to be Vitamin C. I was having some withdrawal from my orange juice-strawberry-banana mix, but then I found a little cafe right around the corner from my apartment in Monterrey that sells the same thing, even though it's half the price in Mexico City. I'm feeling good these days, I'm eating well and training hard and preparing for my next match in Arena Mexico, which will be on the 12th. Everybody take it easy, Sarah

Hi Everybody, time for a little update. Last Friday I had my second match in Arena Mexico and tagged up with Amapola again to take on Lady Apache and Marcela in a rematch. This time, we were victorious. It felt wonderful, Amapola actually made the defining pin on Amapola. Something else exciting happened, Princesa Sugehit (my longtime rival and the same wrestler who unmasked me) made an appearance the same night in CMLL with Hector Garza. Sugehit is one of the toughest opponents I've ever had, I'm curious to see if I'll have the chance to take her on again in the next while. However, despite our rivalry, she is also a wrestler that I would like to have on my side, especially in Arena Mexico where my opponents are so experienced. She's fast, technical, strong, and tough. It will be very interesting to see if we can put aside our differences and work together to destroy everybody else. I love Mexico City. Every day I have this fresh squeezed orange juice blended with strawberries and bananas for 8 pesos (that's about 80 cents). They make it fresh right in front of you and use about 10 oranges. I'm OD-ing on vitamin C. Okay, everybody take it easy, Sarah

Hi everybody, what a great week it's been! I made my debut in Arena Mexico this week and it was a hell of a rush stepping out in front of so many Mexican fans. Lady Apache and Marcela put up a great fight and ended up taking the victory from Amapola and myself. Standing behind the curtain before going out to wrestle, I was just listeneing to all the people and noise and found myself filled with emotion, energy, and nerves. When I finally stepped out in front of the crouwd, I forgot about everything else and felt like there was no place in the world I would rather be. It was a beautiful feeling and definitely a highlight of my wrestling career, maybe of my life! I want to send a big thank you out to everybody that was prsent in the arena for giving us such a big welcome and a great reception, and for making so much noise for us. On Saturday I headed back to Monterrey to take part in an anniversary show for the Area Solidaridad, then Sunday I was in Reynosa. Tonight I'l be taking on Simply Luscious at the Arena Coliseo. It's not often that I get the chance to take on American girls down here, so I`m looking forward to giving her a good beating. I'm in Monterrey until Thursday, when I'll be leaving for a few shows in and around Mazatlan. I'll be going down a day early, so I'll be enjoying a full day of hanging out on the beach and working on my tan. You'll notice Cathy redesigned the website, awesome work Cathy, the site looks great. That's it for now, I plan to be continue wrestling more in Mexico City over the next while. Everybody take it easy, Sarah

Hey Everybody, a journal entry is long overdue. It's been an exciting couple of months, mostly back and forth between Monterrey and Mexico City. This Friday July 1st I'll be debuting in Arena Mexico with CMLL. If you've been following these entries you know that this has been a huge goal for quite some time. I'm ecstatic about the opportunity, especially because there have not been women's matches in CMLL for nearly 5 years. I've been training at the gym in the Arena and trying to imagine how it's going to feel walking to the ring tomorrow. I'll be teaming up with Amampola to take on Lady Apache and Marcela. I want my family to know that I'm dedicating this match to them. I want them to know that the time far away from them is worth something, that I'm taking advantage of my time here, and that I'd give anything for them to be here with me to share this. I'll let you know hao it goes, everybody take it easy, Sarah

Hi Everybody, it's been a while. Last night in Monterrey there was an NGX funcion, an extreme wrestling promotion called Nueva Generacion Xtrema. It's a relatively new promotion that's growing with each function. They have a strong roster with guys like Damian 666 Halloween and Super Crazy, as well as some local crazies. I accompanied The Un-Mexicans to the ring, a couple of guys who are so obviously Mexican that it hurts, but one claims to be from Japan and one from England, with me being from Canada. The Japanese guy grabs the mike and starts speakng English, the British guy grabs the mike and starts speaking Spanish, and meanwhile we're all throwing tortillas like frisbees at the people in the crowd. The whole situation was utterly ridiculous. However, they had a good match and ended up victorious. There was an impressive girl's match between another strong Canadian fighter, LuFisto, and Princesa Sugey. They stole the show. I'm looking forward to the next event. In my last journal I mentioned the match I was going to have in Mexico City. The Arena Coliseo was packed full and so receptive to what we were doing. I fought Amapola, who is a very tough opponent and an incredible wrestler. I can defnitely say that this match was a highlight for me, one of the best matches I can recall having. I ended up sneaking a hold on her called the Reinera and won with that hold. I hope to be spending more time in the next couple of months in Mexico City. Everybody take it easy, Sarah. P.S. Big Congratulations to Adam Brooks for winning the Manitoba Artist's Associon prize for most influential filmmaker and best songwriter.

I'm in Mexico City right now. The original plan was to come here, talk to some people, train, and try to find different rivals and more work. So far, so good. The trip here exceeded my expectations. It started with the voyage, a bus trip throughout the night during which I had a beautiful sleep. One might think that the bus system in Mexico is questionable, but it totally destroys Greyhound. The buses are rarely half-full, they have lots more leg room, the seats incine almost all the way back, and in 12 hours we only made one 20 minute stop. Upon arriving, things started happening almost immediately. I barely had time to eat before I headed to the Luchas 2000 building. Luchas 2000 is one of the magazines here. I had an interview and a photo shoot and got invited to wrestle in a big show that Luchas 2000 is sponsoring here in Mexico City in Arena Coliseo next Saturday the 16th. This all took place within the first couple of hours of arriving, and things just kept picking up. I'm particualrly excited for this show because Arena Coliseo in Mexico City is the oldest arena in Mexico where the very fist luchas took place. It's really an honour to have the chance to wrestle in this legendary arena. The show is a celebration of the Arenas's 62nd anniversary. It should be great. I'll also be wrestling in a couple more shows next week on Thursday and Sunday in Arena Naucalpan while I'm here. Last night I checked out the CMLL show in Arena Mexico. It was my first time in the arena, and I was impressed. The arena is huge, the matches were amazing, the crowd was hot. I'll try not to get too cheesy, but being in there was almost emotional, inspirational. While I was soaking everything in, all I could keep thinking was that I NEED to wrestle in this arena. I just have to. It's given me a new sense of motivation and a new goal. This morning I went to train at the CMLL gym, which is situated high up in the Arena Mexico. I learned a lot and my heart was racing due to the higher altitude here. We started the session by running around the top level of the arena, and again I was struck by the size and the history of the arena. I'm leaving for Monterrey later today, but I'm excited that I get to return so soon. Everybody take care, and I'll let you know how the show in the Coliseo goes next week. -Sarah

Hi everybody, it was a VERY close match last night, but I managed to take the victory over Princesa Sugey to win the FILL women`s title. The match was scheduled for only one fall, and it ended with both our shoulders on the mat for the 1-2, and just before the ref counted to 3 I bridged up so that only her shoulders remained on the mat. You can check out a new picture in my forum, courtesy of Albert Ledesma and Angel Arredondo. I'm off to Nuevo Laredo in a couple of hours and then I'll be gearing up to head back to Tijuana this Friday. The really hot season has just started to hit Monterrey and I'm suffering a bit (I'm sure everyone in Canada feels really sorry for me). It's hitting more than 30 degrees on a regular basis and in the next couple months it's only going to get hotter. However, it feels good to work out in heat like this. You feel like you're working hard. I've started to do some more trainig outdoors at various tracks and parks, running lots and doing stairs. I've also been going to Chipinque, a mountain here in Monterrey. Running and hiking uphill with the heat and the altitude difference is a real challenge for my cardio. I'm trying to gear up for a 21 k race that takes place on April 17th. The longest races I've run have been 10 k, so this one will be tough. Everybody take care, Sarah
