I'm glad I caught it!


I'm also glad I joined this little site almost seven years ago (it'll be 7 on the 25th!) - it has really changed my life forever.

Two photos today.

I love this first one. It focused on my camera in the reflection, but what's going on in the foreground is pretty darn cute!





And this is one from my grandmother's house. I love how creepy-nostalgic it ended up. (My mother painted that back in the day.)


Note: The grain is from the filter, mainly. I suppose there's some distortion from the resize as well.

Hey everyone!

I'm thinking of a new project and I need names for fairies!


I need any names (feel free to give me long lists!) that you feel

- are elegant/pretty kind of names that would be pretty on fairies
- are cutesy or alliterative


Pretty much anything that you fits a fairy and/or would be cute! Be creative and thanks so much!

Here is my latest, the Titanic!

It's about two inches off the ground, if that, and about the same wide. It's polymer clay, paint and some embroidery floss. Glaze. Hard work and love. My friend Lyndley got it today (the masts broke off! :() and she LOVED it. It came out a little more cartoony than I'd hoped, but I'm pleased.

Also: the base is blue pearl clay - so it's sparkly/glittery.

Now to make three more! LOL

I NEED CLAY SUGGESTIONS!

I have ideas for things to do with clay, but I need some requests/ideas! Lots of 'em! I want to make lists! lol

1. First, I need ideas for a "symbol" of each month of the year. I'd love to do a nice 12-piece charm set for someone and two or more heads are better than one.

2. Now I need ideas for what I can apply the Harry Potter colors to. That is, well, I want to do sets of four objects each that apply the House colors in some way. These don't have to be HP items/things either; it's actually more fun if they're not. For instance, I've already done little gifts in the House color combinations (red/gold, silver/green, yellow/black and blue/silver. I know that it's blue/bronze for Ravenclaw in the books, but I decided to use the movie version) - one color as the ribbon, the other as the wrapping paper - and I'm about to do lollipops swirled in the different colors. So I need MORE IDEAS! List me anything and everything that comes to mind that I can do like that!

3. For my sister's mother-in-law I am making a tiny lighthouse/coast scene in clay for her, since she loves lighthouses. So this got me thinking - what other little scenes can I do?

I already have the lighthouse idea, and I want to do a mini Titanic on the water, but I need more suggestions! Again, anything and everything! From greatly detailed ideas to general ones. I want lists! lol

4. Here's another suggestion request based on #3. I guess it's a branch off of it. Just like #3, but I need historical ideas. I already have Titanic, but what others can I do? I thought of going the Hindenberg, too. So that's all I've got so far. Give me historical ideas! Again, as broad ("Titanic") or as detailed ("Titanic's grand dining saloon's port side") as you'd like to suggest.

5. And lastly, but not leastly, I need ideas kind of like 3 and 4 - but with a movie theme. What movies? Which characters? Etc. Again, I want to do things from Titanic, and also Pirates stuff maybe. This is a little harder, since I don't have a "person style" yet with my clay. But I hope to develop one soon.
