!warning non-je rant here! okay, there's a mention of sousuke but stfu.

some people already knew that i was a horror buff, no i don't enjoy gore and splatter (but they occassionally cause me giggles and mad fits of laughter. not to mention they are good sources of entertainment), my favorite kind of horror is intellectual horror-- yes the one that fucks with your mind and rapes it for several days or weeks on the sheer thought someone or something might be under your bed/peering at your window. i'm a masochist that way.

which is possibly why my most unforgettable (if not, most disturbing) moment in last friends is michiru entering the apartment, several hours later after sousuke locks her out-- only to find three (sorry but i found them disgusting) cigarette burns on sousuke's wrist. sousuke them nonchalantly tells michiru he smoked three cigarettes while waiting for her. still one of my favorite scenes because it was subtle in it's entrance but jumps at you when you realize that sousuke is in fact, a very disturbed man. perhaps the only genius i find in last friends' writing. yes i'm an picky little viewer aren't i?

anyway o shit-- i just totally randomly looked for new horror movie trailers and accidentally stumbled upon an 'alternate' trailer for the The Shining (1980) which gave me the chills. apparently it's not an alternate as the youtube folks say but whatever. still remains goddamn amazing right up to this day.



this folks. is how you build tension and paranoia out of people. and give what they expect. ahhhh, love it.

And now, for reccomendations! The Shining is a must for anyone who loves horror or movies in general, you don't get these things from hollywood anymore so usually the best way to get the best movies is to backtrack. XD

Strange Circus, if you thought the domestic violence in Last Friends was bad-- you ain't seen nothing yet. From the same genius that brought us Suicide Circle comes a tale of a young girl raped by her father and abused by her jealous mother-- a hardcore mindfuck with one very impressive ending that leaves the viewer satisfied. ;) That is-- if you can piece it together as you wade through kind of softcore porn in the first parts. Give it a chance, it will not disappoint you especially if you're in for the twisted narrative. XD high points for not being self-indulgent bullcrap too.

Noroi, think of it as Japan pulling a Blair Witch Project, this is chilling simply because of the gritty, realistic portrayal of basically-- this documentary. although the premise is nothing revolutionary, the ending still creeps the fuck out of me. and that's all i need, one memorable moment to piece all the incoherency together. my favorite is the crazy psychic guy who wears a funny hat. as usual in the land of japan, creepy kids= a++++++++++.

Summer time PV, has obviously borrowed some elements from WAHAHA's. Is Kanjani 8 so amazing that a group that sells better than them thinks that stealing the whole 'group love and fooling around' idea would be a great thing to do for their new pv? the ending? made me barf. please oh please don't tell me that this was all a coincidence.

And no don't tell me that ARASHI did it too before Kanjani 8 did (There was a respectable distance in release dates for Happiness and WAHAHA anyway!) We all know Kanjani's was different in terms of the crack, the small people in spandex suits, the weird faces and the slow motion falling, not to mention it's a completely different feel because it reflected KANJANI 8. What does NEWS' PV reflect? Bullcrap.

At least ARASHI and Kanjani 8 don't have to act out that they're having fun and they love each other. You know they're friends, you can just feel the looovveeeee. NEWS needs to realize that all they really need to do is dance, sing and look pretty. I don't fucking CARE if they want us to think they get along. I don't need them to go and show that they're the second coming of Kanjani 8 or whatever because they're not. I'm not a KAT-TUN fan. But I keep on tabs with stuff they do, and Nakamaru is my favorite KT member EVER! I love that he's now going to college and pursuing education, better late than never. I think he really has his life planned out. And this JWeb entry just goes to show how much he cares about KAT-TUN. Everybody probably thinks by now that the KAT-TUN ship is sinking and Jin's willing to put needles in Kame's lunch box, but then-- there are guys like Nakamaru who still believe in them.

And yes, he admits that they do argue. They probably don't along as well as they're supposed to be. And I doubt that they'll even reach Kanjani8's insane brotherhood of misfits but still, glad to hear that KAT-TUN's keeping it real.
