if you have the time or inclination, respond to this post with a poem that means a lot to you right now. here's the verse from the galway kinnell poem that i was looking for yesterday, from the road between here and there:
"Here I sat on a boulder by the winter-streaming river and put my head in my hands and considered time - which is next to nothing, merely what vanishes, and yet can make one's elbows nearly pierce one's thighs."
i don't have it in front of me so line breaks might be off, but still it's beautiful, i think.
