Fuck it
Having finally got my tax refunds I tried to get to see Eddie... I've been a fan since I first saw him when I was roughly 12 or 13... I've wanted to see him live for about that long... and so of course there is not a chance in hell of getting a couple of tickets. Nothing is available.

... I knew I should have tried back when I realized he was coming fairly close to here; I held off because of stupid, sentimental ideas and now look what happens.

I am not dead yet...
...even if I haven't posted anything since January... January

A lots been going on; especially with work and so on which has meant I've been rather distracted/exhausted but here's the highlights.

School-wise I'm getting ever closer to Pharmacy school - it just seems to be taking forever sometimes

Work-wise, I took the Pharmacy Tech certification exam and passed giving me an instant change of job title, job duties, and pay (an extra buck an hour but ever little helps)

Kit-wise, he moved to NC back in March. We move into our new apartment on Saturday... well, we get the keys then; we may be painting/building desks etc before we actually move ourselves and the cats into the place.

Apart from that all I really have to talk about is some issues about feeling lonely and so on but I deleted that stuff since I really don't want to be all depressing and so on. And thus, I'm off to continue prepping for the move and trying to pick a place to go tomorrow to grab some food before Kit and I go see SPAMALOT!!!

Twitter
I'm setting up my new PC (we finished building it today - well all except the new video card install) and so keep stumbling across different things I always meant to try or wondered about. One of those is Twitter so I went ahead and signed up as roooof. I don't know how many of you use it but, if you do, feel free to look me up.

Updates
About two weeks ago, I headed to Florida to spend 4 days with the boy. Saw Stardust after a fabulous meal, met people I've only played WoW with, met other people, and moved a bunch of my stuff back to NC.

About one week ago, I started classes at Wake tech AND started a new job in the Target pharmacy on the same day. My classes are gonna be fairly tough but so far I'm enjoying it. My job is WONDERFUL - I input prescriptions into the system, fill prescriptions, serve guests and do all of this while working in a really good atmosphere and normally with snacks/coffee at my fingertips.

This morning, I took a calculus test which I think I did well on, returned textbooks totaling $155 because I was able to get a free copy of the one I needed and ended up not needing the other one, and then my mum took me out to lunch before I headed to work. This was a damn good day! Now if only my internet would stay up for more than 2-3 minutes at a time, then things would be perfect.

Am I overreacting?
It makes me very uncomfortable the way people use personal photos and icons and stuff. The icon thing I'm ignoring right now but the photos are starting to bug me.

Photos get posted by a whole bunch of people who've copied them from other peoples' albums often on other sites, and I'm not always happy about it. For example, I know people who have appeared in my photos who don't want their photographs uploaded to the internet but who have said they were okay with my placing them up in a particular place provided they are not publicly viewable. But that control isn't assured anymore. just today I came across one of my photos accompanied by a pithy comment on someone's page and i know the subject would not be happy where they to find it. And so I feel shitty. I've even found myself reluctant to share my pics because I just know they're going to end up everywhere; I know the minute that I post any photo from a night out that it's likely to be found in random places. So instead I end up getting constant inquiries as to when people can get them, when will they see them, and so I post them and they take off.

I always worked off of the principle that the only photos I could share freely were those of myself - a guideline I've since expanded to include some friends since my photos are never available to just anyone. I'm just curious to know if I've been being ridiculously cautious in trying to respect other people's privacy?

(Comments are screened because I'm not trying to cause wank, I'm just musing)

ETA: If anyone's concerned that they've uploaded pics that might have contributed to this, feel free to ask. There aren't that many that've really bugged me and I'd hate to have people feeling that they need to remove absolutely everything they've wanted to share.

Huzzah!
Well, I turned 24 yesterday and celebrated with a fabulous party. The theme was Pirates and Porn and so we ended up with us all watching Pirates (including my parents), people tasting/inflating/playing with various condoms, lots of pics being taken, and I personally got to spend a night with quite a lot of my favourite people.

I need to get Erika and Alison's photos and to get mine sorted out and organized but here's one of me showing the penis tiara Erika got me from Priscilla's - very apropos I thought.

Yay for pirate hunters! )

Rambling cause I'm happy
Man that was fun. I just met up with a friend from work to hang out - nobody else was available/interested so it ended up just the two of us but we still had a blast. We met at Borders (where I was late and then couldn't find him but ended up chatting to a friend of Kit's for a while until Christian walked by) and then headed to go see a movie. The movie times pretty much picked it for us so we went to the Fantastic Four movie (lots of fun) where I spent most of it eating his popcorn and drinking his coke (yeah... me bad) before grabbing a beer at Red Robin before their cleaning up to close eventually had us move.

After that we made a quick stop at his place where I met his parents and his cats and one of his dogs before heading to Raleigh for more beer. But oh my god was Napper Tandys just dead, DEAD. Even for a Sunday night this was pathetic. Still, his knowing the bartender made it fun and his company is always good, even if he did sneakily pay for both of our drinks while I was in the loo. But still, a good night, and the first in a while as I've been rather sick and depressed as a result recently.

And hey, laying on his car in light rain chatting until we were getting a little too wet to stay there was a blast - nighttime at the top of a parking deck in downtown Raleigh is surprisingly pretty I must say. Now I just need to arrange to get my car back from the Borders lot tomorrow and I'll be all set (beers and no food = bad for driving)

Trying out some stuff
I've been playing around with WoW ModelViewer recently - been fun to experiment though unfortunately my graphics accelerator cant quite handle it and so sometimes shuts down. I created the following banner for Jadore using Tier 5 stuff, meaning it's basically a god-I-wish type sig and not actually one I'll be using any time soon, if ever.

But I've been working on a current sig for Ohm before I attempt to make a better one for Jadore to use. However, wording is an issue - I don't want to give him something he wont want to use so I want it to be good. I feel I need some sort of slogan as having the extra text really improves how it feels but I can't decide what to use.

Here's what I've tried so far )

I like these but can't decide which I prefer. [info]codin_frog himself isn't that bothered so it's really coming down to what works best in the composition.

Teehee!
I just made a forum signature to use when posting on epochguild.com. I'm not sure if it'll end up exactly as it is here (I need to check one thing) but I'm really happy with it. The only annoying part is that I really wanted to include all of my characters, not just the Alliance ones, but it would have been ridiculously long.

I can update the levels as they change and hopefully this'll help all our new members keep track of who I am.

Woot!
I got my epic mount today leaving me nice and poor but faster. Kit mailed me a lot of gold to make this possible and, as much as I hated to abandon Squidgy, the speed increase is really nice ... especially when I aggro-ed about 12 ogres a few levels above me and was able to get past them all without being dismounted. So now the poor guy just needs a name.

The glowing eyes are a little unsettling... )

Graduation and related festivities
Well a lot's happened over the last few weeks that I kept meaning to write about so I guess I'll split it up into Graduation weekend stuff and then later I'll try and write an entry about my trip to Boston.

Warning - very image-heavy!

Look ma, I graduated! )

Graduation party
Well guys, it seems my actual invite got screwed up and wont send so I figured I'd give you guys notice of my party here while I continue working on getting it up.

The Bash will be on Saturday the 12th of May starting at 3pm and going to the last man/woman is no longer standing. People can stop by for as little or as much time as they wish - there will be plenty of food and drink available whenever you show up (within reason - if you show up on Sunday then you might be out of luck ... maybe). Feel free to bring people, family, stalkers and others.

Hope to see you guys there - excluding those of you graduating/attending graduations in places way too far away to make it of course.

Where the hell did the semester go?
Wow, Kit arrives in NC (for a wedding and my graduation) on Friday of next week... next week! I'm kinda in shock, having only recently noticed that I'll be graduating in less than three weeks. But yay for Kit coming up! The rest of it seems kindof unreal so I can't feel much about it yet.

But right now I'm so not studying as I should be *blush* I just finally used the iTunes giftcard Sheila and David gave me for Christmas - got another John Mayer album and a bunch of Skunk Anansie stuff. The latter has been transporting me back to my high school days when I knew every word; I think I'm gonna need to go back and buy the rest!

Is nice to have new music as I've been getting a little bored with what I have. So, on that note, anyone have any songs/albums/artists they've been mad about recently/loved forever/would like to share? I'm just looking for recs in an attempt to discover new stuff, and thought that, since I reckon my friends have some damn good taste in all kinds of areas, you guys might have some cool people for me to check out.

People are gross
So yeah, Saturday was one hell of a day at work...

Gross, gross customers ... sorry, 'guests' )

Yeah... I hate people sometimes. Luckily some good stuff happened this weekend also, but I have to run and change clothes so maybe I'll write another happy post later.

Fun times
Man, despite closing taking 3 hours and thus my getting out of work at 1am instead of at 11pm I had a really fun night. Went to Tony's to join Mum, Sarah and Edna after work. I had no car at work (Dad had dropped me off) and Dad had been ill so I didn't really want to call him. But one of the guys at work offered to drop me off at the bar since he lived in that direction.

So of course I offered to buy him a beer as a thank you. An hour later, when the bar closed, he ended up driving Mum, Sarah and I home, having hung out for another drink, plenty of smokes and was great company. Definitely a good finish to a tough, tiring day at work. :)

Course, now I have to stop feeling so damn tired so that I can head off for another closing shift.

Edit: forgot to say, It was SNOWING when we left the bar, Snowing! What the fuck's up with that!?!?
