It is time to get serious boys and girls. It's time for me to move up in the world. Friday night. Was driving around in my rent a cop car and things were eerie quiet. There is this real swanky house at the end of this crescent and it always has a porches, Mercedes and shit parked outside. I pulled over. I mean you should see the fine boys that drive these cars. I have always figured this was some lawyer's house and that they had an in with the 'in' crowd. I just sat watching. Then this bodyguard approached my car and banged on the window. As I was rolling down my window something came flying out of nowhere and tackled this dude to the ground. Needless to say the good old slayer instincts kicked in and within seconds I was in the mess. It was a vamp. Dusted. The bodyguard gave me the strangest look and asked me to come up to the house with him. I started thinking 'Reward!'. Not so much. Met the WOMAN who owns the house. She is stunning. And apparantly very rich and powerful. She offered me a job. A job as her personal bodyguard. I think she saw me hesitate so she told me how much I would be making. BLING! I now have a new job. Go Rona. Go Rona.

Okay.. this sucks major you know what. Vi's gone now too. On a selfish note, she's the one that understood Chao Ann. On an even more selfish note she's off to see the world and I'm stuck in Cleveland. Did I mention this blows? All with the happy for her, and glad she arrived in France okay..but it blows. Hmmm, let's see. What does my fun filled life comprise of? Oh I know. I sleep all day, then have breakfast at 5 pm before going to work at 7 pm. Only to drive around in rich neighborhoods all night, maybe sneak in a little killing, and be home at 5 am. Gee.. I sound like a vampire. This is so not what I signed up for.

Have decided that being a security guard is really not that exciting. Not that I deluded myself into thinking I was changing the world, but there is no action. None. People, and I do mean humans, in this hood seem to stay inside. They don't bother. The house is getting quieter too. Have not seen much of Faith, or Willow lately. Xander is gone.. Vi is leaving. Really leaves a girl feeling like she lacks direction. Lots of us are going out into the world, heading out to make a difference and take control. But not little Rona, she is staying in Walton Lake sitting on her thumbs. Night shift is not so much fun. Get this, last night I was driving in my not so state of the art company cruiser when this girl jumps in front of my car. She looked right at me. Her eyes were rather bleary and there was blood on her. After a quick glance behind her she took off running again. Like 2 seconds later, this not so friendly looking dude went tearing by. I am not sure how long I sat in the car thinking what the hell would Buffy do, but I did follow. I got out of the car and chased after them for about 5 blocks. It was not a pretty sight. I think I got knocked on my ass more than he did. The girl..well..she kinda just stood there watching. So when the guy was down I turned and her face was all vampy. Gah! I was fighting the wrong person. Reverse. Went after the girl..we tussled. She's dust. When I turned to tell the guy I was sorry, he was gone. //firewall against those in the house// But he left behind his business card for me. Looks like he works for those government dudes. //end firewall// I am now very sleepy and have to think of an excuse to tell my boss about why I did not respond to the security alarm at the Talbot's. Everyone is leaving. Packing up their bags and going poof into the night. With no Dawn, Giles or Buffy the place seems rather...quiet. I want to make a difference. I really do, but I have now been 3 places in this world and they are all within the United States. Maybe Xander needs a traveling companion for Africa? //firewall against those in the house// I had my 'meeting' on Friday. There is a special training course these gentleman I met with want me to get involved in. I remembered Buffy talking about a group called the Initiative, so I asked him about it. He swears up and down that this is a different group - but all still led by the government. I am not sure I trust this. Something about a bunch of men in suits trying to recruit teenage girls that just disturbs me. //end firewall// Um.. well..its my birthday today so if anyone wants to go and grab dinner tonight, that would be cool.
