OMG, David's on TV, this Friday! *squee* Only, I've never heard of this movie, Foolproof, Canada. Is it just my ignorance at fault? Have any of you seen it? I suppose I could just look it up at IMDb or something, but I'd rather hear it from someone who actually squeed when David came on.

The TV guide says it's from 2003, with Ryan Reynolds, Kristin Booth, Joris Jarsky, Sean Sullivan, David Suchet (eeee, Poirot! *g*), David Hewlett. So obviously not a leading role, but still...

Oh, and a few days back I saw the second part of A Family Portrait, with Joe Flannigan. Wow, but he looks good in swim shorts and unbuttonned shirt! Rrrrar!

Because of course I managed to distract myself from infinitely more important and urgent things (both PS and RL related) by my OWN FREAKIN' PROMPTS! *head, meet desk*

*sigh*

Today was the Parade. And I was damn proud of my local gay boys for organizing it and walking down those roads with their heads held high and their flag waving. Until my country once again prooved to me that I should just move out.

I've raved long and loud about this at home, so I'll spare you the details and rant. Suffice to say that there was throwing things at the boys and a lot of mean words. Sticks and stones and words. Worse, it was mostly the student population who did the throwing. I was shocked and appalled. I wil never be able to understand or tolerate this kind of homophobia. Hell, this isn't even a phobia anymore, it's downright hate, and I just can't stand it. An old, gay-hating bitch of a Christian woman said that it's a sin because how is the world suppose to procreate? Well, if the option is the kind of genes I saw manifested at this year's Parade-bashers, I'd rather the whole world just died out.

Since I'm reccing all over the place recently (btw, sorry about all the spam, flist, I'll try to keep it down, k?), I might as well rec this site:

Discover the Cosmsos, one picture a day

It's a great place for neat, starry textures (like the one I used for my current header, to get the twinkly stars around the boys) or for washed out, faded textures (like I used for seldom_icons's header). Really handy, if you ask me, and the pics are usually very large, perfect for wallpapers (and, imo, perfect for SGA! hee).

You can take it one day at a time, going back, or you can look through the index and pick by name.

This is driving me apeshit. The page where Stillane's Cohesion is located won't load completely! It's happened before with really long fics, but only when using IE. Firefox was fine until now. Do you guys get the same problem? If not, could you maybe hook me up with the whole fic? I've been trying since I got home, re-freshing every now and again, but it won't work. And I really, really like this fic! Pweeeease!

Also, I tweaked the layout a bit, played with it and made it look somewhat more like rojimouse. I'm happy with it. For now.




On a further note, what do you guys say about flocking seldom_icons? I mean, I'm pretty sure everybody's doing that with their icon journal... But I still feel a bit mean to do it... I don't know, you tell me, what do you think? Be honest!

P.S. I'm so liking the fact that there are no capital letters in my journals! I have no idea what i fidled and broke to make them do that, but I'm liking it! LOL
