Get Your Filthy Paws Off Me You Dirty Stinkin' Ape!
So I try to do a list of my ten favorite movies and like a dummy I forget number two, the original Planet of the Apes. Made during the Vietnam War, this film is rife with allegory and social commentary. None of which mattered to me when I first saw it as a young child. It was then and still is now, one hell of a fun ride. I saw the new one when it came out and really wasn't disappointed as I didn't expect it to live up to the first. I know Hollywood is more interested with making money than having an original thought, but it still perplexes me that they continue to try and remake classics. If a movie like this one or King Kong got it right the first time why re-make it. You can't repaint the Mona Lisa.

The matches seemed to go well this week and it felt like the crowd started to get behind me again which was good. Still spending a lot of time on the matt looking for that emotional spark to get me going. It's time for the Superbeast to start playing a little more offense.

Really looking forward to next week's matches. I think Blayze and Daulton have a good thing going and the more they feel each other out the better it will get. Jihad brings the heat and his match with A.S.S. has the potential to be explosive. Hopefully the F-n-F will be back soon so we can see one heck of a tag team war with the H.N.I.C. We get Karma and the Strangler, Draven and Noble, plus Valentine, Ruckus, Maverick and a bona fide hall of famer. Got to admit a little envy for the guys in that match. Hope everything is good in the Wellington household. Missed seeing all of you this week. Baah! Supreme's Strongest Animal go sleepy bye now.

This Post is 99.9% Whine Free
Quick recaps: The Regatta Rumble match was a genuine pleasure. I always look forward to working with Draven. After all the build up, I definitely felt off my game the next week though. But the wild one should be back raising cain this week.

If anyone can get me copies of any matches it would be greatly appreciated. I really need them on dvd if possible. I can buy the blank discs if you let me know which ones to get.

    My top ten favorite movies:

    1. Star Wars: A New Hope, Truly changed how movies are made and created Industrial Light and Magic(ILM) which revolutionized the industry.

    2. Monty Python and the Holy Grail, simply the funniest movie ever made. NEEEE!

    3. Cool Hand Luke, "What we have here, is failure.... to communicate!"

    4. Unforgiven, "He should of thought about that before he decorated his saloon with my friend."

    5. Duck Soup, Harpo and Groucho get the most acclaim but Chico always had the best lines.

    6. The Magnificent Seven, an All-Star team with one of the best theme songs of all time.

    7. The Blues Brothers, "We're on a mission from God."

    8. The Shining, Still can't figure out the part torwards the end where the dude is sitting on the edge of the bed getting a bj from some guy with a pig's head.

    9. Rocky, The first is the most poetic because he loses the fight but it just doesn't matter.

    10. The Natural, the book is much better but the movie is inspiring.

Honorable Mention: Longest Yard(original), Wizard of Oz, Predator, Terminator, Conan the Barbarian, Jaws, The League of Extraordinary Gentleman, The Princess Bride, The Fish that Saved Pittsburgh, The Mask of Zorro, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Rundown, Kingpin, Goodfellas, Cannery Row, Excalibur.....

Five guys I would like to be more like in the ring: Randy Savage, Curt Hennig, Jimmy Valiant, Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit.

Five guys I would like to be less like in the ring: Ultimate Warrior, Dino Bravo, Hercules, Zeuss, and the Brooklyn Brawler.

    Baah!
Thought I might detail my recent trips to the emergency room or how the last three weeks have taught me the merits of sunblock, baah no one wants to hear about all that. Suffice it is to say that I have been far less than 100 percent for quite some time but can now see some light at the end of the tunnel.

Considered listing names of guys I would like to wrestle, baah the list is too long. Almost as long as the list of wrestlers who don't want to work with me. I have always busted my tail to make every match as good as I could even if some people don't see it that way. Go ahead and ask the booker for a different opponent. Just don't expect me to forget it. I am looking forward to wrestling Damien Divine again when he returns. I like being the underdog and I also believe I can do more for his return than just about anyone in the locker room. Damien will be a true force when he returns and our confrontations have the potential for being hard hitting classics.

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but it seems like not everyone is happy with me chasing the Supreme Unified Title. That I haven't done enough to merit the opportunity. Maybe they're right, after all I haven't been on top of my game these last few weeks. All I will say in my own defense is that I have always tried to make the best of what was given to me and I will do everything I can to make this match live up to all expectations. For over two years worth of work, this is my one shot. After this Saturday I will have had as many chances to win the title as Ghetto Gangsta. Baah! Too much whine not enough cheese!

Is it time for the promoter to go with plan B?
My youngest daughter, Catherine Grace, had yet another surgery on Monday. Everything went as well as can be expected and she is recovering at a normal rate. However, she has not been released from the hospital as of yet. My in-laws are helping out at home while Helen stays with Gracie so I don't have to miss work. At this time I can not say with 100% certainty that I will be able to appear this weekend at AWA-Supreme. I am sorry for all those who might be effected by this and fully understand if the promoter and booker choose to change directions in recent storylines. I should have more definitive news by Friday afternoon.

Stumpy Draws?! Now that's what you call ballin'.
Just got finished reading the match results from last week and man I wish I could have seen that. If he had the tiger stripe tights and came out to Superbeast and dove into the ring it would have been perfect. Even better if he charged the ring but couldn't get on the apron and needed a boost. Why do I always miss the good stuff?

Glad I missed the debacle, however. Profanity is a crutch for the conversational cripple. I firmly believe that Kliff or any wrestler for that matter should be able to get his point across and make it seem real and garner all the heat they need with out crossing certain lines. I am far from infallible as we all know but it is still a standard worth aspiring to. The fact that those across the barrier do not play by these rules is no excuse for our negligence. We are the professionals after all. That being said, I do not think that the language played any real factor in the reaction of certain individuals. For the safety and protection of every person involved no one should ever attempt to cross the rail. Before joining SCW I worked as security for other promotions in Northern Kentucky and Southern Indiana. The one thing that was always stressed was no one crosses that rail. If any person attempted to cross that barrier, invisible or other wise, we were to use what ever force needed to keep them from reaching the wrestlers because the wrestlers would hurt them. No one wants a crowd to sit on their hands or look disinterested. The wrestlers feed off a crowds reaction. You should get angry. You may even be genuinely pissed off, but there are always limits. Having said more than I have a right to about a situation to which I truly know little as I was not there I will end by saying that I do hope all parties involved continue to visit 821 West Main Street every Saturday night at 7:30. I truly do look forward to seeing you.

Cheap pops are not just for babies anymore. Everybody knows a good guy can incite cheers by mentioning the home town or national pride and a bad guy can get an equal reaction from insulting the same. I think it far more acceptable when a heel targets an entire crowd instead of personalizing his insults. There are some individuals who enjoy being singled out for ridicule. It in some way makes them feel like a special part of the show. They can laugh with the joke and believe that the heel is only doing his job and couldn't really mean something so hateful. I can only think that if you really didn't mean it, why did you even think of it in the first place? I know the day will come when I will be asked to jump the fence again, but in Madison at least I'm not sure my heart will really be in it. As a kid I always hated the milksop heroes always pleading for support. I always reveled in their demise. For some odd reason I now find myself preferring Ricky Steamboat over Ric Flair.

Not too long ago Blackheart #2 had a really solid t.v. match with Roger Blade. When I first started I used to hate wrestling Roger because I knew there wasn't going to be any big bumps. Not just that Roger didn't like taking them but he hardly ever gave them either. So I ventured into this match a little less enthused but willing to do my best to make it work. To my suprise the match told a good story and everything made sense. We managed to entertain the crowd and hold their interest with out the crutch of the big move. I've always respected Roger, even though I like to joke about his twenty minute promos, but after this match my respect really grew. I still enjoy the big bumps, but if you can't have a solid match with Blade look in the mirror for the problem. Personal note: I only said that because Roger does not read this, I save all my good gwetting for Billy Maverick.

Trivia question: who was the National League Rookie of the Year in 1981? A few hints, he was suspended from baseball seven times for drug use and became the first and only person to be suspended for life for drugs (a suspension later over turned by an arbitrator). He recently drove his truck off a cliff and died while under the influence of meth. He never conquered his addiction but received numerous opportunities from major league baseball. Meanwhile, Pete Rose will never be in the Hall of Fame. Addicted to gambling, yes but his real crime was beating up Mets' shortstop Buddy Harrelson in the 1973 national league playoffs. The coastal bias of the media never forgave Charlie Hustle for never playing in New York or Los Angeles. A crime far more punishable than killing yourself with pills.

    Time for an Update
Sorry for not posting sooner, but sometimes life gets in the way. First order of business, Surviving the Steel 3. To all the new faces in the locker room, I apologize for not spending more time to get to know each of you, but with so much going into the night's show I didn't have much opportunity. Hopefully amends can be made at future bookings. Side note to the Foxy American Guys, lapdancing is strictly prohibited in the locker room area. Congratulations to the new tag team champions, the H.N.I.C. Once again it was a pleasure working with you guys and I'm really enjoying the story you are telling. Can't wait for the chance to do it again, even bigger. As for the main event, words are failing. To be a part of a match with so many people giving their all is truly an honor. Every person in that cage was spent afterwards and the effort they each put forth was obvious. A lot of work went into trying to give every entrant a chance to display themselves and I hope we were successful. I am personally disappointed with my own performance in several instances and will continue to strive for improvement. So much could have and should have been better on my part, but in the end I assure you I gave everything I had. To everyone who helped make Saturday a great night I can only say thank you. A special thank you to those in charge who allowed Charlie and me the opportunity to begin shaping this story months in advance. Enough for now, perhaps more later. Don't hold your breath.

Notes from Soapy Po's Favorite Animal
That's right, the cat is out of the bag. My man Soapy Po has promised to put yours truly at the top of the most prestigious listing in all of pro wrestling! Now that is what ya call Balling!

Daggnabbitt Vito, If the Reds don't make the playoffs you can lay all the blame on their pitiful record against the Cubbies. Sweep the Astros, sweep the Cardinals, fall flat against the Cubs. Tony Womack, Todd Walker and Ryan Dempster for jiminy crickets!

This Saturday's match went well although less than spectacular. Our opponents this week were teaming for the first time and have had little success in SCW so the crowd didn't expect too much. If I could pick one match to show an outsider what the Knights can do this probably wouldn't be it, but overall the story got conveyed and the set-up for next week was strong. Thank you Dewey and Kyle and Apollo. Next week against HNIC will be that showcase match I think.

The rest of the card was solid as usual. The woman's match was exciting and well received. Looking forward to seeing these two young ladies work again and can't wait to see Karma thrown into the mix. Plowboy and Jimbo continue to draw favor as the HNIC peeve more people off. Always good to see Vito and Prophet on the card. They just ramp it up a notch. Did You see Prophet's clothesline over the turnbuckle in the battle royale? Impressive. The four guys in the main proved they are still the corner stones of AWA Supreme (along with Billy Maverick of course). The crowd seemed enthralled and I admit I'm still amazed by how huge the response is when Spazz's music hits. He and BW3 have really connected with our crowd. Blade and Ruckus shined through their parts and Draven showed why he has the belt right now. His villiany is top notch and makes every move he does seem bigger. You guys got your work cut out for you next week because this bunch is looking to steal the show:

Nic Noble: It took a while but I think the fans are finally beginning to accept you as a favorite. Your gaining the respect you deserve and over the next month you will become even more popular. In that cage the crowd will see a complete wrestler and the only man tough enough to be partners with Supreme's strongest animal.

Dez: The potential show stealer. Given the spotlight this guy can take things to new heights. I for one would love to see this guy in a program with Valentine. Like JBL and Mysterio, I think each could do wonders for the other.

Ricky Ruckus: One of the winners of STS #1 he is an obvious front runner. His hardcore style guarantees this match will be no holds barred. Bring the paint, bring the kendo stick, hell bring the thumb tacks it's time to get down and dirty.

William Valentine: The most consistent heel in SCW. Other guys may draw huge heat, but no one has done it as long as Valentine. Every week for two solid years, the crowd almost expects him to get his way. If anyone can inject a little humor into a match like this it is SWV.

Chris Blayze: One of two former Supreme Champions in the match, the Phenomenal One will tests the limits and push the envelope. I guarantee you Blayze will show this crowd things they never expected. Strike that fire in your heart and let's make some history.

Plowboy Portman: The quintessential underdog. All the hard work is paying off and more rewards will follow. Let that character shine through and the crowd will cheer your every move. I'm glad you perservered and can't wait to share this ride with you.

The Tibetan Strangler: Every grand adventure needs one really good monster. The Strangler has been an unstoppable force. Can anyone survive the onslaught of this juggernaut? Oh yeah, get some PANTS!

BW3: Yeah he's not in Surviving the Steel, but he is on the card and did you see the crowds disappointment when he got dumped from the battle royale? You can dang sure bet that this crowd will still be fighting for their right to party.

To me and most others Surviving the Steel is the biggest event of the year for SCW. Since I crawled out of that cage last July, a newly found babyface who gained a great deal of respect from the crowd, I have eagerly anticipated Surviving the Steel 3. It's time for everybody to step up and test themselves. To shine bright and seize that moment, that one huge highlight, that one giant pop. Forget about fame or fortune and live for that one moment. Deep down you know that is why you became a professional wrestler. That is why you're still wrestling today. I have tentative plans to have a cook-out at the house before and after the show. Can't give any details until I clear things with the boss. Oh, and E.D. don't forget to bring those flyers.

Where Did That Bruise Come From?
Woke up this morning with severe discomfort in my lower back. Went into the bathroom to find the Aleve (cause that's as hard as us Straight Edge mo-fos will go), and low and behold my whole left side is purple. It wasn't there yesterday so it can't be from Saturday and everything has been good in the gym so somebody must be kicking me in my sleep. Didn't stop me from doing 600 lb. board presses today. So it's all good. I don't know what anybody is talking about on their livejournals these days. Mostly I'm out of the loop, although I think Iron Mike is misspelling something because he dropped a few words not recognized by even my supererogatory vocabulary. A truly magnanimous feat. In any event I hope everyone's spirits are lifted soon.

So I was finishing up another lengthy bench work out the other day and decided to do a burn out set with 315 to finish up. The first eight or ten reps went pretty quick but as soon as things began slowing down around twelve or thirteen some jerk face I've never met before decides to be the gym spotter. After racking my weight for me this clown proceeds to tell me how a guy my size should be a lot stronger than 315. I just smiled and pretended to listen as he discussed the "hardcore" workout he was using. Yeah Maverick, I feel your pain.

I was disappointed you couldn't make it last week Noble. Especially considering I didn't know you wouldn't be there until Saturday. But I understand how things happen sometime. I hope you can find a way to be there and represent this week.

The original plan as I was told was the F'n F vs. the Knights. Scheduling difficulties had that changed to the Knights vs. The Andretti Xpress. When Noble could not attend it became a singles match and Surviving the Steel qualifier. No one on this end ever accused Jack or Guido of no showing that I'm aware. Sorry for the confusion and hope to see you guys soon. The match that did happen will definitely be included in my list of favorites for 2006. Rumor has it SCW is trying to bring the F'n F back for the Regatta Rumble. The match I heard proposed would be tremendous. But nothing is written in stone so it is best I not discuss it.

Good luck with the band thing Valentine. I know the headgear will be an instant hit with the fans.

    Trusty get some PANTS!

Draven I feel like I'm letting you down this week. If there was any way I would be there. I knew about the festival but just forgot to check my schedule or I would have put in for vacation earlier. Hopefully BW3 will be able to help with the headache. I've always tried to be one of the guys SCW could depend on so missing this week really hurts. I can make the television taping if you need me.

Say Hello To The Green Guy!
I know a lot of very cool story ideas did not reach full culmination, but the final product was still very impressive. In one night for only five dollars the fans got to see former Supreme Champions Billy Maverick, Ricky Ruckus, Prophet, Chris Blayze, Spazz and Eric Draven on the same card. Add to that names like Damien Divine, the Fudds, K-Lo, the Miami Thug, Roger Blade,Karma and the Mid-American Champ BW3 and you have one outstanding night. But wait there's more! There was also two of the most impressive Blackhearts ever and the triumphant return of a Supreme Legend, Mason the Mangler. If you were at the show you might be wondering why I have not mentioned a certain other person. Just saving the best for last, because for me the highlight of the night was the opportunity to work with Vito Andretti. In case you didn't know it, Vito is outstanding at working the crowd, telling a story, working the ring and covering up other's mistakes. He knows how to accentuate the positives while hiding the weaknesses of everybody he works. In short, thank you Vito, it was an honor and a privilege. It's been a long time since I have looked around the locker room and seen that much talent and realized I was the greenest guy on the card. Wow!

I hope everything goes well For CCW tonight and that company explodes like it should. Maybe someday down the road we can show Vince how the whole invasion angle should have worked.

Fiscal obligations along with Dr. K. Fabian's orders require me to miss next Saturday's show. I wish there was a way I could make it because I know the locker room will be missing a lot of faces next week. Unfortunately, others have already taken vacation this week so my options are limited.

Sometimes it's easy to look at all the ideas that didn't come to fruition or the mistakes made in execution and get frustrated. I have always been guilty of being too critical and over analysing. But when you step back and see the whole picture you have to be proud to have been a part of it all. To everybody who has helped make me a part of the story I say THANK YOU. The next big thing is just around the corner and I promise to do everything in my power to make it special.

Sometimes you wear stretchy pants...just for fun.
Unfortunately my Surviving the Steel qualifying match with Chris Morrus was postponed this week. Fiscal responsibilities prevented me from showing up on time and the match card was already set upon my arrival, so I abided by the locker room rules and sat the night out. Chris was involved in another match and I did not want to upset the apple cart. Had I known that match would stray so far from its original concept, perhaps our confrontation could have been added to the card. In retrospect I'm glad we decided to postpone this event as the day had already taken a toll on me both physically and mentally. This match deserves a whole lot more than I would have been capable of putting into it. Luckily my schedule allows me to be well rested for this coming weekend as the Knights are scheduled to meet the number one contenders for the AWA World Tag Team titles. With bookings continually improving for the Fat and the Furious, their appearances in Madison will become more and more sporadic. Making it even more important that each of their matches be memorable. Much like when teams such as the Sheepherders or Moondogs would occasionally blow into Memphis to heat things up, It is important that the fans see an appearance by the F'n F as a major event in which anything can and probably will happen. Of course with Spazz and Draven scheduled to have a hardcore match, Maverick reintroducing a Supreme Legend and the unbelievable heat generated by the H.N.I.C., the bar has been raised immensely. Despite everything, Jack, Vito and Noble are more than capable of stealing the show and I'm honored by the opportunity.

    Sloppy
Mundane as the word may be, sloppy perfectly describes my recent work. Too many little mistakes, too repetitive, just plain sloppy. In my attempts to achieve the high level of intensity that the character requires, I have lost concentration and become as literally wacked out as the Superbeast appears to be. On the mic this can be comical, as my insane "April" diatribe brought back memories of some of Psycho Sid's best promos. In the ring it is just plain dangerous as my mistakes can not only deter from the match but cause a great deal of misfortune for others. I'm beginning to understand why Randy Savage was so meticulous in his details before every match. Hopefully, more practice time will allow me to recognize some progressions I've been missing and move a little more instinctually. In any case, I assure you the Superbeast will continue to "flip out." Fair warning.

In other news, I'm pleased with the owner's decision to delegate authority to others. In the long run I'm sure it will help him to enjoy himself a great deal more as many headaches can be alleviated by others. Now the owner doesn't always have to be the bad guy and say no. The person newly delegated has already shown the cohones to do so quite well. With another watchdog to help oversee things, I think the overall flow of the show will improve with fewer guys always protecting their characters with screw jobs, dqs, and count outs completely dominating the card. Every now and then a match should end clean after all. With fewer guys being allowed to just show up and do their own thing, storylines can become tighter and the spotlight can be rotated to include others. Before anyone gets upset by these comments, let me clearly state that I believe SCW's product has always been top notch. But if you're not getting better you're getting worse so it is always good to look for ways to improve everything. And I'm not saying I haven't protected my character. I have been quite diligent in that endeavor. I also feel like I have always put the show foremost and given as much as I've got from others. Most people in SCW can claim the same but not all.

Nic Noble and the Hebrew Hammer.
Just got back from another great day in the gym. Finished off my work out with 315 for two burnout sets of twelve, so I'm beginning to feel like my old self again. Having a work out partner makes all the difference. I'm getting pushed to exceed on every set and we never miss a work out. For the first time in a long while I'm having fun in the gym again. SCW may be getting a new paying trainee very soon out of this deal too. The promoter has shown interest in recruiting a loud mouth punk manager for the television broadcasts and the Hebrew Hammer may very well fit the bill. I feel equally energized about wrestling these days. Working with Noble has given me the direction that seemed to be missing. New storylines are developing and the opportunity to prepare some in advance will push me to be at my best. I'm looking forward to giving the fans some very memorable moments in the coming weeks and I think over time Noble and I will develop into one of the top teams in the area. Now if we could only come up with the right name....

    Quick thoughts
Had some fun watching some old school stuff at the arena Friday. I think some of my comments might have been taken out of context though. You know I would never intentionally disrespect Supreme or the man in charge. Any further explaining can wait until tonight.

BW3: I promised someone else first and I don't want to back out on them. If they're still hosting I'm afraid I'll have to miss the party of the year.

Noble: Looking forward to the team. I know we can push each other to be better every week.

SWV: I hope you get a good sunburn before your dog collar match, brother. While you're gone I promise to continue making fun of you at every opportunity.

    Strangler: Get some PANTS!

F-n-F: Wish I could be there on the 8th to see you guys steal the show. Really wish I could see Mickey chained to a midget though.

    Maverick: Gwet back soon.

    CJ: Sorry for your loss.

Hebner: You're going to be special soon. Patience and hard work will make the difference.

Portman: Don't get down on yourself. I hope you get a chance to take advantage of the new building. Next time we will both be better.

CCW: Congratulations on the new building. If you're younger guys ever need a little push, I hear the Blackhearts can do the job. But you'll have to match what they get paid here in Madison.

JV: Wrestling with a broken nose sucks, I know.

Pretty Boys: A little birdie told me you guys might have potential. Hoping to see that for myself real soon.

Gangsta: I don't think that was you on the message board because you don't have the nuts. Counting all the people in that locker room, I'm probably the one willing to help you out the most. I'm also the last one you want to piss off. I have mellowed through the years and learned to control my temper. You don't want that genie out of the bottle.

That's all I've got right now. Everybody else, you know you have my respect.

Now the story can be told....
A few months ago Charlie asked me to help convince the promoter to give the Phenomenal Chris Blayze a shot at the Supreme Unified Title. After offering several plausible story ideas, I admitted that I didn't think it was time yet for this to happen. I have always respected Blayze's ability in the ring and had watched his mike skills grow by leaps and bounds, but still I was hesitant. Was I worried about the integrity of the title? No. I was more concerned with the long term goals of the Fallen. Fresh off a debilitating knee injury, Chris was not in the physical shape yet to attain his goals outside of AWA-Supreme. In order to branch out successfully, Chris would need to continually improve and I feared that too much success here might allow him to become complacent. Thus, when Blayze unexpectedly upset the Champ, I feared the worst. Fortunately my fears proved unfounded. Since becoming champion Mr. Blayze has proven to be anything but complacent. His desire to improve every facet of his game can be seen every week and soon fans in other parts of the AWA will see that too. Blayze vs. Devine will be cataclysmic, and we can all look forward to many more great matches to come.

    Notes from a non A-lister.
So it's Tuesday night and I'm still pissed. I'm mad that when Vito suggested that SCW put too many of their veteran wrestlers in the ring with new guys, I was actually dumb enough to defend the practice. Vito was right and I fully understand his position now. I'm peeved that I haven't had a meaningful match over three minutes long in over a month and see no chance in the foreseeable future. I'm mad that SCW has all these new faces wanting to be on the show but not a single one has ever shown up for practice. I'm aggravated that the regulars seem to be complacent and opportunites to improve during the week seem to be dwindled down to non-existent. I AM NOT MAD AT THE PROMOTER. I owe him for everything I have ever gotten out of this business and he owes me nothing. Wrestling has completely consumed me and it has become increasingly frustrating that I can not give more. I am not, nor should I be considered an A-lister right now. I know I can be. For the last month I have been back in the gym, 2 hours a night, six days a week with one goal in mind. When Surviving the Steel returns in June, I will be a major impact player or I will retire. Not talking about winning or losing but satisfying my own expectations. A far loftier goal than some may fathom.

You can leave that weight on...I'll use it to warm up.
Okay, all this bench press talk has finally gotten to me. So just out of curiosity I decided to do a little test this morning. Put 225 on the bar for a warm up of three (never had much use for warm up sets and anything less than 225 I might as well do some girly push ups with my legs crossed).Stuck 315 on the bar because I'm too lazy to mess with all the little plates for 300. After doing 2 second pauses on the first five reps I went ahead and stopped at ten reps. Might have gotten a few more but didn't feel like bothering anybody for a spot. My best for this weight was over 20 so I'm still off my game a little. Finished up with 25 reps of 225 just for a little cardio though. Everything felt good. Maybe it is time for one more run at a championship. Anybody interested in some hardcore powerlifting training?

    Melancholy Melodies
It has been a tough week on the homefront. I would like to sincerely thank everyone for their support during recent events. Although it seems that the Superbeast is missing more weeks than not, this week away strongly reminded me how much I enjoy SCW and wrestling in general. I have spent countless hours lately pondering ways I could help SCW and its workers reach greater success. Whether it be different construction projects or matches to help propel others, it is a constant preoccupation of mine. Which makes reading the message board lately all the more disheartening. It seems the negative comments far out weigh the positive ones these days. From the very first day that Commissioner Morris brought me into the SCW locker room I feel I have been treated fairly and with respect. Although my sporadic schedule has at times left me feeling lost and with out direction, I feel that SCW has given me more than ample opportunities and everyone in the locker room has helped build the Superbeast into a viable character. I guess that is why I can't seem to understand the unfavorable attitudes so often displayed on the message board. What ever happened to the discussions of last week's great matches or the anticipation of upcoming events. Is name calling and back stabbing all we have time for these days? My eagerness to return has been severely dampened. Might be time for AWA-Supreme to get a taste of some very BAD MEDICINE.

SIDE NOTE: After perusing the Live Journal world, it comes to my attention that perhaps some apologies need be made. I have been lax in my attitudes toward Kayfabe, too often being seen riding or conversing with the wrong people. I will make a more concerted effort to be less visible outside of my matches. I must also admit to discussing story ideas with my father. I never considered our conversations to be an exchange of insider information, but more like two smarks anticipating possible events. Although I don't feel that any of Draven's comments were necessarily intended directly for me, I will take them to heart and strongly suggest all others do the same.

    Sad News
At 2:23 A.M. we got the not unexpected phone call. After a long and excruciatingly hard fought battle with cancer, my wife's life-long best friend and the mother of our 10 year old Godson had died. In the last three years, June Blaylock had shown more courage and inner strength than any individual I have ever met. When the tumor was first found in her nasal cavity and removed, it distorted her features and left the former beauty pageant winner open to many awkward glances. Even when the chemotherapy took her hair and made her violently ill her spirit never seemed to waiver. When the cancer returned to take her sight she continued to persevere. And in the end, when the cancer invaded her bloodstream and we all saw the devastating effects, she still remained the strongest. I am awestruck by the love and devotion all of her family members displayed throughout this ordeal and deeply grieved by their loss. Throughout all the highs and lows of my wife's life, June was there and her passing has deeply effected my family. With the viewing scheduled for Saturday and the funeral on Sunday, the Superbeast will be on hiatus indefinitely. Please keep June's family in your prayers, thank you.
