Just complaining Went to open a DBS corporate current account cos now payroll using the bank software no longer accepts cheques. Have to debit direct from a DBS company current account. So troublesome. Imagine I spent one and half hour at the bank just to open the account. This was the second time I went yet there were still so many documents to check and so many verifications to make. Firstly, every page of the documents submitted has to be signed. We are talking about documents that can go up to 20, 30 pages which can be quite a hassle. Then verification of all the directors' signatures. That means they have to log in to their system and one by one check whether each director holds an existing account with them. If no account is found, the director have to be be present in person for the opening of the account. Mafan, mafan. Also, a standard bank form for company's resolution has to be filled. That was the reason why I have to made a second trip in order to get the signatures of all the directors. In the first place, the letter sent to us did not indicate clearly there was such a standard form to be filled up. Grr... Further more, if the company's shares are owned by other companies, still have to go and check with the person in charge of the other company. Have to check whether can open the account at the branch or escalate up to the person to do the account opening. Wah. All these verifications are such a headache. The person also told me it is indeed quite a hassle to open an account nowadays. She mentioned it would be worse if company is owned by a foreign company. I think it will be a nightmare. personality Had an interesting talk with my fren about some basic characteristics of a person. Introvert or Extrovert Introverts think through problems by themselves, do not feel like sharing with others. Extroverts think out loud, solving the problem as they talk through it. Judgemental or Passive Jugemental ppl plan ahead. They cannot stand things being unplanned. Passive ppl go with the flow. They change their plans depending on the situation. Thinker or Feeler Thinker makes decision by logic, and determine what is right or wrong. Feeler makes decision by feelings, putting other ppl's feelings into consideration. I guess I'm more of an introvert, judgemental and feeler. Hmm... Current Mood: thoughtful | | Monday, June 25th, 2007 | | 9:09 pm |

Backlog 2 More images from my trip... One thing to note about Bangkok is the lack of toilets. This photo was taken when we finally found a toilet at one of their universities. Actually wanted to cross the river to a restaurant at the other side. But legs were so tired we had dinner at this restaurant. Photos in a shopping centre Taking the big big ferris wheel. Very hot leh as the cabins are enclosed. The four-faced buddha Cab of a friendly driver. He can speak chinese. Clever, he even offered to pick us up at the theme park later. Really know how to do business. Dream World. Very very far from the city central! Very few visitors... Up on the mini cable car My favourite fast food! Go Kart. Had a major chain collision. The people tried to show off so no one wanted to give way, resulted in crashing into one another. Watched their special effects show... Giant in little man town Elephant ride. Anyone? Cabbages and condoms restaurant. I stumbled upon this restaurant signboard when looking for dinner. Realised it was on the recommended list. The recommended sticky mango rice. Quite a nice dessert though the main courses were pretty ordinary. Back to more shopping... Personally, I prefered MBK. Other shopping centres nothing much. It's a brand new year! Time flies. Seems like a blink of the eyes and another CNY holidays has passed.
I still remember the last CNY I was still burdened with studies. This year, the weight is lifted from my shoulders. But one thing does not change. Another round of pigging over the holidays. Another round of fats round my waist!
A new year means more new year resolutions. To me, I must remember to treat my loved ones better and better. My wife-to-be, my family, my frens. I need to spend more quality time with them. I must treasure the time I have and use it wisely. I also have to improve myself. Constantly. Fine-tuning to make myself a better person.
New year. New hope. To everyone, wishing all happy always! | | Friday, November 3rd, 2006 | | 8:24 am |

Updates Back from reservist. Two weeks of boring life... This in-camp was my unit's ATEC 1. (ATEC stands for Army Training Evaluation Centre) It comprises of tests to determine how good / battle fit your unit is. ATEC 1 comprises more of techincal tests such as weapon handling tests and knowledge theory tests. Thus, it was not as siong as it was used to be. There was only one day of exercise (used to be 2-3 days). I even injured my toes so I did not participate in the exercise. Haha. I never enjoy wearing green. So whenever i'm in green, feel very lethargic. But it was always good to catch up with my army frens. =) Next year will be the siong in-camp training. Heard there is 3-4 days of exercise. Think my old bones going to crack! Current Mood: happy | | Thursday, October 5th, 2006 | | 1:04 pm |
? | The Keys to Your Heart | You are attracted to good manners and elegance.
In love, you feel the most alive when your partner is patient and never willing to give up on you.
You'd like to your lover to think you are optimistic and happy.
You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.
Your ideal relationship is comforting. You crave a relationship where you always feel warmth and love.
Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.
You think of marriage something you've always wanted... though you haven't really thought about it.
In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily. | Current Mood: lethargic | | Wednesday, October 4th, 2006 | | 9:34 am |
