| The Worst Part about Packing is Unpacking... |

Oh, flinkie, I miss chatting with you too, but I get on at such irregular intervals I never see anyone else on, or if they're on, they're away. I try to get on whenever I remember, but most of the time I get sucked into my story (i.e., sitting for three hours writing a couple sentences while playing FreeCell without consciously realizing it).
Funny story about that. One time in Drafting someone asked me how I could play so fast. I told them I didn't actually look at the cards unless I had a tough decision to make; I played on "auto," which is basically color matching. Really, that's my secret. It's... difficult to explain. Sometimes, as I mentioned before, I'll be sitting at the laptop, thinking what to write, and I won't even realize I'm playing FreeCell until I try to type something. It's quite scary. ^_^;;
[And to answer your question, I'm off to the University of Washington. w00t!]
The following text will mostly comprise of a list of stuff I own and am deciding to bring or not bring with me to college. It's probably boring, unless you're like me and have a certain strong affection for lists. (That's the left-brainedness kicking in.)
As for video games, I've decided I'm going to bring the following:
PSOne Final Fantasy I, II, V, VI, VII (the GH version, not the one in the original casing, that one is my BAYBEE), VIII, IX Final Fantasy Tactics Ehrgeiz JetMoto
PS2 Silent Hill 2 Dark Cloud 1 and 2 MGS 2: Sons of Liberty MGS 2: Substance (Hyun won't be coming back from Basic until December, anyway) Legaia 2 Grandia 2 Grandia Xtreme (I never gave this back to Peter... I'll call him eventually...)
GameCube MGS: Twin Snakes Mario Party 4 (*shudder* but it's multiplayer...) MarioKart DD Skies of Arcadia Legends Animal Crossing Super Smash Bros. Melee (undisputed queen) Super Mario Sunshine Soul Calibur II The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker TLOZ: Four Swords Aventure TLOZ: Ocarina of Time TLOZ: Collector's Edition FF: Crystal Chronicles Metroid Prime
The only games I'm leaving behind are FFVII (original casing version), Evolution Worlds, Pikmin, Gauntlet, and Tales of Symphonia. Now, why Tales of Symphonia, being as that is a newly released game plus I never actually played it? Well, I let Doug borrow it, and I figure it'll probably take him until Christmas Break to beat it anyway... -_-;;
No, wait, thinking about it, I better bring the original copy of FFVII with me. Those lousy parents of mine I can't trust with my precious.
I'm also bringing one of my GameBoy Advance SPs and all my GBA games. Oh yeah, and Neverwinter Nights and its expansion packs.
As for books... I have to limit myself, I mean, REALLY limit myself. So as of right now, I'm only bringing all my Douglas Adams, all my Robert Heinlein, five or six Stephen King (really doesn't matter which ones, they're ALL good), Da Vinci Code, The Jungle... and I haven't peeked into the other boxes.
I neglected to unpack a LOT of stuff after we moved everything back in when we finished recarpeting the house. It's a nightmare opening boxes just to grab one or two things which I might bring with me.
Oh yes, FOR SURE, I am definitely bringing my Zelda toy and my Bender wind-up figure. I don't trust my parents not to sell some things or throw away some things while I'm gone, even though they know they will die if they do. So I'm going to be careful and bring some (though not all) of my precious toys with me. Including Totoro. Eee! *squeezes it* The first anime I ever saw... My Neighbor Totoro...
I also hope to sneak in my ninja knife, but common sense is telling me that if anyone sees it, I'm dead. So against all judgement and with all judgment, I'm leaving it at home. I pray my parents don't sell it. I will, however, bring my rice hat.
As for the anime and manga... oh God, what am I going to do? For sure, I'm bringing my Saiyuki DVDs, because I love Saiyuki. Then, I'm considering bringing the A-ko and Slayers tapes but that might be too bulky. So maybe just the Slayers, since I haven't finished watching them. I have the first eight, thanks to Space Cadet, but I only watched through... 5? I think? Can't quite remember. They're somewhere in the obscurity of my closet in a taped box. As I said, forgot to unpack... Well, I didn't forget, but I just got... lazy. ^_^;;
OK. For sure, all Saiyuki DVDs and manga, Naruto, Bleach, Fake... Not Gravitation. At first, I thought it was cute, I mean, you know... but then it started to get really, REALLY weird and creepy, so I'll just sell it and count my losses later. Heh, I wish I could bring GTO, but that's like 18 books... @_@; Well, maybe I'll find a way.
*whew* That's still barely half the crap I have. >_<; What about wallscrolls? Oh, DEFINITELY the two Cloud wallscrolls and Sephiroth and Naruto. Fushigi Yuugi, meh...
Now I have to go and actually pack that crap. x_x I don't leave 'til Saturday, but if I don't start now, it'll never get done. |
