So, I'm definately moving forward with my SciFi game idea. Don't know if it will get anywhere, but I'm working on it at least.

So, my workstation here at work is slowly becoming the geek heaven (or nerdvana!) that it should be. I have a laptop stand that puts my laptop up at an angle, I have a docking station it connects to and I have a wireless headset for my phone. The only thing missing (and its on order!) is the 19" flatscreen monitor so I can do the dual monitor thing with my laptop and it. :)

So, last night I got disstracted by American Gladiators, Deal or No Deal and Medium. Forgot to post. :/ I was trying to post every day this year. Longest streak from 1/1 on though to date. And since I posted multiple posts in one day earlier this year (heh) I'm not going to consider the LJ trend to be broken, just not a complete year this year. Ah well.

So, today's been rocky again. Spent much of the day on the edge of anger. I don't like this. adelinfdm and rilauven both helped me out with that (thanks honey, thanks bud). Its just really rough. :(

*sigh* There are times when I wonder if I'm not the moodiest and most suggestible guy in the world. Intellectually I know I probably am not, but emotionally I feel like I am. I'm already starting to feel somewhat better than earlier, but I'm not "up" yet.

So, I've changed the way my LJ looks twice now. I'm sticking with the grey camo style. Went with greys because my character on AoA, Lyela, is a grey colored twi'lek.

The other day (on the 1st), I went though my friends list and removed names I wasn't sure of anymore. Either I didn't know who you were anymore or I figured we weren't interacting enough for me to follow. This also removed you from seeing posts locked to friends naturally (if you aren't sure you can count my posts, this is my fourth today, if you only see three you aren't on my friends list). If this upset you... well... you should let me know. I can't reestablish a friendship if you don't tell me it is desired. So here is the notice. Feel free to comment on here. Or, if that is too public a forum, my AIM name is listed in my profile and I am usually on, especially when at work. Otherwise... well... It must have been nice knowing you as I at one time had you on my friends list.

For those who didn't know this, I've been playing roleplaying games (here after referred to as RPGs as I am a bit lazy) for much more than half of my life (having started at the age of 13 when my grandmother gave me the Basic and Expert D&D box sets for my birthday). I play both table top RPGs and do online RP in the form of MUSHes.

Currently, my RP activity is focused on three items:

1. An ongoing Aberrant table top game that has been going for nearly two years on and off.
2. Age of Alliances MUSH
3. My attempts to develop a game to run. I've toyed with Cybergeneration and a science fiction world over the last year, currently leaning towards running a scifi game using the GURPS 4th Edition rules.

So, today was my first day of real work volume (having started taking calls at the beginning of the holiday slowdown). It was a good day. I'm still able to read at work (currently reading Heinlein's book Have Spacesuit... Will Travel) but I'm also challenged: new products, new procedures. Its a blast.

Yes, Rathess is back. A lot has changed since the last time I posted seriously. Things are much better than they were this summer first off. Secondly, on 11/30 I began working directly for the company I'd been doing tech support for for nearly a decade as a contractor. Thirdly, I've been RPing on a Star Wars MUSH (Age of Alliances) since last September. I've begun posting logs into my LJ and a LJ community for the MUSH that a good friend of mine started. If you check out my back posts, from 9/20 though today (not completly updated yet), you can follow the progress of my character: Lyel'aran (a twi'lek mechanic based somewhat on Kaylee on Firefly).
