IMBB 13th edition: Even frogprincesses adore muffins!
Is My Blog Burning? is a monthly event in the food blogging universe. Each month a food blogger acts as a 'virtual' host and announces a recipe theme and a date on which other bloggers should post a dish based on that theme on their blogs.
Normally I am not a food blogger, but my mother is part of this crazy species and so I am always informed about the latest news.
This time IMBB is hosted by Maki and the recipe theme is “Muffins and cupcakes”.
As I love muffins I’d like to present a very easy and very fast recipe to you. I always make these muffins when a call like this reaches me: “Kathi, let’s go to xy. Everyone should bring something.. we’ll meet in 1 hour”. Or some visitors will enter your house, you want to bribe the master of your RPG-Group – my muffins were tested for every of these occasion and you can be sure it works ;-).
But now stop talking and start baking!

Egg liqueur muffins or muffins for princesses
12 muffins
you need
2 eggs
125 g butter, softened
125 g sugar
125 g flour
½ pk baking powder
1/8 l egg liqueur
3 tablespoons shaved chocolate
decoration
brown chocolate
white chocolate
silver sugar pearls
OR
powdered sugar
how to do
Preheat oven to 200 °C. Prepare a paper lined muffin tin or butter the muffin cups.
Cream the butter in a bowl until foamy (if you want to have more work, take your hand mixer out of the bowl and turn it on. Now the butter is spread all over the kitchen! Yeah! So start again and cream some new butter until you have 125 g again ;-) )

In another bowl beat eggs and sugar until foamy, then add it to the butter and mix everything. Add the flour, the baking powder, the liqueur and the chocolate. Stir with a spoon or a whisk and fill the mixture in the muffin cups.
Bake for 15 – 20 minutes, until golden brown
Let cool the muffins, melt the brown chocolate and spread the chocolate on top of the muffins. Let the chocolate dry, melt white chocolate and fill the chocolate in a small piping bag. Draw little crowns on your muffins. Put some sugar pearls on the crowns – so sweet!
Decorating the muffins with chocolate costs a little bit of time, so if you are in a hurry, sprinkle some powdered sugar over the muffins instead.
Now make some coffee or tea, invite some nice people and enjoy the cute muffins :).
