T-Mark Asian Food Supermarket
The stretch of Riccarton Road in Christchurch, east of Riccarton Mall towards Hagley Park, particularly the crossroads around Clarence Street, has become a Little Korea, with all kinds of shops and restaurants. The food looks okay, but I wasn't in the mood for Korean. However, there are also a few other Asian places. T-Mark is Taiwanese (at least, that's what the Chinese characters say). They have a second location in Christchurch's City Centre, which is the first one I found.

This wouldn't be a place worth noting if it weren't for the fact that they have bai2tang2gao1. But they do, and this is noteworthy in Christchurch. I did not expect to find it here. A smallish (200g, maybe?) box of this squishy white sweet is NZ$2.80 ($1.90). So, it's not the best bai2tang2gao1 I've ever had, but it's not bad. I asked, and the manager said that they get it fresh daily, except Sundays.
The Riccarton Road branch is the larger of the two. They also carry a very small selection of bao1zi (like, I think, one variety?), and a huge selection of Taiwanese groceries, including ramen, boxed drink, tea, and so forth.
