"Talk is cheap so get on the phone to KPOI business Office 947-1500 and ask them what’s up with this situation."

I'm so so so so sad.

From www.dlarmy.com:

Press statement from Dave Lawrence (January 16, 2008)

KPOI 105.9 terminated me on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 just after 12pm. I was called into a meeting with General Manager John Aeto and Director of Programming Brock Whaley. John Aeto told me they would make it “short and sweet” and that “today is your last day here.” They said they wanted my keys to the building and computers, and while I would be escorted into the studio to collect my personal items, I was not allowed to touch any of the computers or equipment. Mr. Aeto’s response to being asked why I was being terminated was “It’s just time… I’m just terminating you” and that the station was “moving in a different direction.” When asked how I could be let go despite my ratings (which are consistently KPOI’s highest, dramatically out-performing the station) and more than five years of commitment to 105.9, Mr. Aeto said “Dave, I need your keys… I really don’t want to talk to you about anything.” That is the explanation given for my termination.

I will miss my listeners and greatly appreciate them. They can stay in touch with me at the fan site www.dlarmy.com.

Wayne Harada is pissed too.

Dave Lawrence was the best thing about driving home after work. He's the ultimate guy groupie. He loves music, loves bands, knows everyone, gets all kinds of people to do interesting interviews. We were lucky to have someone with that kind of passion on our tiny island. I hope someone else will pick him up, but there aren't any other classic rock stations on the island. He is like the cool geeky best friend that everyone wish they had.

Lately I've been listening to Alice at Nights because I leave work so late. I guess I'm not listening to that anymore. Because I'm like that.

I wished I trained my cats to wear a collar!

http://www.mr-lee-catcam.de/index.htm

My cats sleep all day. It would be like, here's a picture of the wall, here's a picture in the kitty house. Here's a picture under the bed. Here's a picture in the closet hidey hole where I can get cat hair on the clean sheets. Here's a picture of the headboard. Here's a picture of the ceiling, where I lie on the carpet spreadeagled so I can reach out and snag a passerby....

Internet invention wish

wishes cast out into internet land...

How about
1) a blue tooth adaptor for desktop VOIP phone,

2) blue tooth adaptor for the IPOD mini (or insert your favorite player here)

3) bluetooth headset:
- that has awesome audio for the daily IPOD,
- lots of rechargeable battery life,
- a way to plug in and use it while it charges
- small and collapsable
- able to switch easily between the cell phone, the desk phone, and the IPOD
- very clear microphone so I can talk on the cell phone softly in public.

Oh yes, and if it could be all in either a candy able shiny red or a light bright green, that would be great. Because color is the most important thing.

Cool cases are a must.

I guess if I had all the money in the world I would combine the phone and the music player. With a battery that never loses the charge because I would just drain it dry every day.

I'm not happy with any of the reviews I've seen so far of the blue tooth adaptors or the headsets on functionality, and all the headsets are bulky and ugly.

Someone go invent pretty little things for me.

Along the way, please invent a cure for cancer, HIV/AIDs, arthritis and lactose intolerance.

Thank you!

Oh, these instructions are so much better than mine, which are something like.

Do nothing.
Roll them up.
Cut them off
forget to re-hem
etc.

Kitty has 3 different kinds of nasty bacteria. It makes is eyes sore. Some upper resp infection. So he gets medicine. yum yum.

the doc asked us if we noticed any decrease in activity... um, Monkey kitty? Jon wanted to laugh. This kitty is full of energy every day. Right now he's playing soccer by himself with his crunchy ball. Earlier he and Yuki almost knocked over the TV. Literally bouncing off the walls.

oh well, I hope this all works.
