BOOYAH! Iron Man [01 Oct 2008|09:29am]
[ mood | bouncy ]
[ music | Vanessa Mae - Aurora for Violin ]

Ok, so Iron Man came out, and it was a serious must get. I'd been stalking the store fliers since the begining of the month, going "ok which stores are selling it with special stuff?!?" Of course Future Shop was selling it with the steelbook as it does for all the big movies. But Best Buy had it with a book with some of the Iron Man comic covers. However to TOP all that they also had a special blue-ray gift set with a comic, the book with the covers, a bust, a $50 gift card and of course the two disc blue-ray movie. Total price of $50. So I had to of course get that one. Bought it all in toonies and loonies. The cash needed no more change fot the day pretty much.

But of course buying the blue-ray with all that extra stuff ment that I've spent all my money and I can't even watch it as I have no blue-ray player. So I've got to wait before I get the two-disc DVD so I can actually watch the movie, and owning two copies of Iron Man wont be a problem for me. I have three copies of each LOTR movie (as I had to have the normal double disc, the extended and then the normal & extended on one) and I have two copies of Ghost Rider, one of the theatrical version and one of the director's cut. I just wish I could actually watch Iron Man, since I've been dying to see it again since I saw it in theaters.

crazy crazy crazy.. [26 Sep 2008|06:41am]

Wow been a while since I made a public entry. Anyways..

Tuesday I picked up Lego Batman since I pre-ordered it. AMAZING game it currently owns my soul, I really just can't stop playing it's so addicting. I'm nearing 100%, so it wont be too long before I've beaten the entire thing. It's crazy how addicting running around as a little Lego Batman, or Joker, or Man-Bat collecting Lego studs and finding those darn power bricks can be. And now McDonalds has Lego Batman toys, which does not help me since the mintue I saw the ad I was like "NEED LEGO JOKER!" So I've got quite a few of the toys now and I've taken to firing the little missles at anything that moves (which I'm pretty sure my dog is not happy about, though she just tends to stare at me).

I've started to read Watchmen again, since the movie comes out next year. Have to recap my mind, though I've only reached chapter III (Marvel's Secret Invasion has taken up most of my comic reading time) and I completly forgot how great of a comic it was. The movie looks to be good so far. Love the comic-con poster for it with Ozymandias and Bubastis. Bubastis looks so cool. Nothing better then a giant mutant lynx.

Tomorrow going out with some friends to see Eagle Eye, looks to be good. Then on Sunday if we don't end up being too busy, we'll be heading down to the Action Figure Expo. I can only image the mass amount of Transformers toys and Marvel & DC figures. If I do end up going, might bring some Transformers comics and get Alex Milne to sign them since he'll be there.

Tuesday. The 30th. Iron Man. I'm going crazy from having to wait.

Iron Man [02 May 2008|12:09am]
[ mood | splee ]

Ok seriously. This. Was the best birthday present. Ever. Not my actual birthday yet, but this was all I pretty much wanted. To see this movie.

And it was. AWSOME. Changes from the comic were ovious to me, but they actually worked. Not like in the Fantastic Four where they made Galactus a cloud. Oh no. Everything changed I thought worked very very well. Or that might just be the crazy Iron Man fangirl from within me speaking. But I loved it, it was awsome. Advanced movie screenings are so so amazing (yay for going hours early and being first in line). And the bit after the credits....AMAZING! Can't wait for the Hulk movie now, and then with an Avenger's movie looming in the future. Ah, so much Marvel movie love.

All I can say is go see this movie! It is perfect. I'm going to go spazz around from utter joy.

Also. May 3rd, aka this Saturday. Is Free Comic Book Day! WOOT!

Went to Wal-Mart a little while ago. Decided to finally use my giftcard I got for Xmas before it ended up expiring or whatever. I used in on....TOYS! Iron Man ones to be specific. $12 for four of those adorable little mini Marvel figures was really good. Cheeper then the other stores I've seen them at. That and I've always wanted to get one of those Marvel minis, way way too cute and they can sit on my desk, next to my many little things...Like Master Chief, Rufus, Stitch, Tokomon and a hamster on a hotdog. Or I could just line them up around my Hoops & Yoyo panic button.

Yay For Cute! )

I am not an obsessive little fangirl. I'm just overly obsessive.
Only 4 days till the movie!

CLOVERFIELD [23 Apr 2008|02:54am]
[ mood | confused ]
[ music | Kings Of Leon - Taper Jean Girl ]

Ok I finally saw CLOVERFIELD (the DVD cover told me to put it in all caps). A little late...Ok rather very late. Just came out on DVD and just...wow. Never got to see it in theaters since never really got around to it, and then my mom was rather hesitant to seeing it since it was all 'shaky-cam'. When people say that people were getting sick and throwing up, I suppose you tend to wonder just how shaky it really is. Never made me sick though, so whatever.

Spoilers if You're Slow Like Me in Seeing This Movie )

......Also peanut butter is really good.

Transformers Movie [03 Jul 2007|12:23am]
[ mood | hyper ]

I have one thing to say.

Transformers is SO AWSOME!

By far my favourite movie of this year so far. I'm definatly going to go see it a second time this weekend.

I don't know what it is, but I adore that movie. Might be because I grew up watching the many transformers shows, never missing an episode if I could help it.

Man they made them all look so cool.

Fantastic Four + Hulk [24 Jun 2007|10:40pm]

[ music | dbClifford - Don't Wanna (Radio Edit) ]

Ok I've had this typed up since I came back from seeing the Fantasitc Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer on opening day, no clue as to why I didn't post it. Guess I forgot or something.

FF:RotSS Spoilers Ahead )

Oh the World War Hulk story line in the Marvel comic universe is amazing thus far, I recommend anyone who enjoys reading comics pick it up. I can't wait for more issues tied to that story arc to be released. It's so action packed and what not. Man the Hulk is an awsome character. Also Planet Hulk is a really amazing story arc as well.

Comics + FF [13 Jun 2007|03:18pm]
[ mood | excited ]
[ music | Trapt - Under The Influence ]

On the weekend I went out got some comics since we were around a comic store I usually don't get to go to quite often. I managed to pick up some back issues of Cable & Deadpool and some comics from the Civil War story arc. When I got home I noticed that one the Cable & Deadpool comics i had bought (issue #5) was signed by the cover artist. I'm really pleased. Though I'm more of surprised that no one had bought it yet. Then again that pirticular comic store does get a lot of the artists in for events and such, but yeah. I'm really happy about that. I've also gotten another comic store to put up the first issue of World War Hulk for me so I can go get it on the weekened since it came out today and chances are it would have been sold out had I not asked for one to be put aside. So Friday after I see the new FF movie (NORRIN RADD!) I'm going to head down to the comic shop.

Ok so the Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer hits theaters this Friday and I couldn't be more excited. I simply can't wait to witness the goodness that is Norrin Radd. Norrin Radd is simply one of the coolest comic book characters there ever was and it's about time he was in one of the movies. And then throwing Galactus in the mix will just make things so much more amazing. Hopefully this movie will be good, and really even if it isn't I'm pretty sure I'll love it anyways. It is a bit silly how Johnny and Ben switch powers and then near the end (as far as I'm aware with the trailler) he can use both his flames and make parts of his body into stone. I have to say though, that the hair colour for Sue this time around is so fake...And pretty much just looks bad, but eh it's a wig, what can you do. And in some pictures Ben looks normal and in some he looks smaller, might be the changes they made to the Thing suit. But yush, I'm so hyped for this movie I've been on a somewhat of a sugar rush since the begining of the month, and it just gets worse as the time draws nearer.

1 day and 8 hours left 'til it's in theaters!
