    Quit
Seriously, folks. I don't want to quit smoking either, but I'm gonna have to soon.
I know everyone has to die, but I'd rather not die of any of this.

    From the CDC website:

Smoking harms nearly every organ of the body; causing many diseases and reducing the health of smokers in general. The adverse health effects from cigarette smoking account for an estimated 438,000 deaths, or nearly 1 of every 5 deaths, each year in the United States. More deaths are caused each year by tobacco use than by all deaths from human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), illegal drug use, alcohol use, motor vehicle injuries, suicides, and murders combined.2,4

    Cancer
    * Cancer is the second leading cause of death and was among the first diseases causually linked to smoking.
    * Smoking causes about 90% of lung cancer deaths in men and almost 80% of lung cancer deaths in women. The risk of dying from lung cancer is more than 23 times higher among men who smoke cigarettes, and about 13 times higher among women who smoke cigarettes compared with never smokers.
    * Smoking causes cancers of the bladder, oral cavity, pharynx, larynx (voice box), esophagus, cervix, kidney, lung, pancreas, and stomach, and causes acute myeloid leukemia.

Cardiovascular Disease (Heart and Circulatory System)
    * Smoking causes coronary heart disease, the leading cause of death in the United States. Cigarette smokers are 2–4 times more likely to develop coronary heart disease than nonsmokers.
    * Cigarette smoking approximately doubles a person's risk for stroke.
    * Cigarette smoking causes reduced circulation by narrowing the blood vessels (arteries). Smokers are more than 10 times as likely as nonsmokers to develop peripheral vascular disease.
    * Smoking causes abdominal aortic aneurysm.

    Respiratory Disease and Other Effects
    * Cigarette smoking is associated with a tenfold increase in the risk of dying from chronic obstructive lung disease (COPD). About 90% of all deaths from chronic obstructive lung diseases are attributable to cigarette smoking.
    * Cigarette smoking has many adverse reproductive and early childhood effects, including an increased risk for infertility, preterm delivery, stillbirth, low birth weight, and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
    * Postmenopausal women who smoke have lower bone density than women who never smoked. Women who smoke have an increased risk for hip fracture than never smokers.

    Hmmmm
    I haven't posted in a while.

School is kicking my ass. As usual, I am pushing an extremely important deadline to its limits which makes me feel like I'm gonna barf all the time.

I also have re-acquired my blushing problem (too a lesser degree than before, thank God).

Today has been one of those days I feel like a circus freak.

One of the properties of the heart is "refractoriness"....I find that very entertaining.

Besides the stressin' I'd say I'm pretty doggone happy.

I hate insurance, but since it is necessary....

If you are considering changing your auto insurance company, might I suggest American Family- Laura Prather

Yeah, they do a great job considering all insurance companies rape you. Plus they know me personally at this point.

    PSA
To prevent the spread of AIDS as well as Hepatitis C one should NEVER share a straw or any other instrument for the snorting of cocaine. Cocaine can cause blood vessels to rupture or the straw/rolled paper/etc. can scratch or scrape the nasal cavity. Small traces of blood are then left on the instrument and transferred to the next participant. The studies thus far do not show what the percentages for this occurrence are, just the simple fact it can and does happen. So if you choose to partake in such activities, please be aware that you should never share.

There is a school what teaches ninjutsu in Ohio.

I think when I have children I will move there so we can become ninjas together.

At some point in my life I want to be able to say I at least tried to become a ninja.

    This is very important....really!

Yay! I didn't even get to vote this year, but we won! I must be bad luck. Maybe I shouldn't vote anymore.

I can't believe Yarmuth won, too!

    Kill Me
Well, I once again have two jobs. It blows noses.

Seriously. I don't know how long I can keep it up. I hate O'Charleys and I've only worked there for a week. HATE it.

In other sucky news, a two month supply of Revolution for my cats cost me $89.00 today.

In other good news, I'm sitting at the Clarks(aka Ghetto)ville library next to Tom whom I never get to see.

A complete lunatic, you're operating on 100% animal instincts.
You thrive on uncontrolled energy, and you're downright scary.

Is that the guy from Interpol?
Sigur ros was awesome as I expected. I liked last time better but that might just be because it was my first time.

The TBus is great. Sometimes the kids are pretty annoying, but generally it's a fun job. I'm getting better at driving the bus, but it still makes me incredibly nervous.

I might be moving out in the near future. My boss (or maybe it's my boss's son) would be my landlord which is fine, but I'm a little worried about making enough money. Although, I want to move out so badly that I think I'd be willing to work 2 or 3 jobs just to make it.

    Not much else to report.

Me and Silent Bob, officially speaking
    SOOOOOOOOOOO....

A lot of stuff just happened really fast...well, not a lot, but anyway..

I got offered to go Full Time at the T-Bus, and I basically agreed to it on the spot without any forethought. I think I'll be happy, though. Also, I got for-sure offered to work Part Time in the lab I did my internship in. Could it be possible that I am going to get out of the restaurant business????
And why does that prospect make me feel nauseous? I guess trying anything new can make one feel worried. I probably need to take more risks anyway. And I'm really not even sure there are any risks to either of these jobs (other than the risk of talking about PCR in a baby-waby voice).

I'll post more when I make the officially official decisions.

    Tiff-er-oni and Cheese, please

I doubt anybody still reads this, but what the hell.

Things are ok right now. I've safely distanced myself emotionally from my family, I'm done with school, and I'm starting to get financially in order. I may even be able to afford my own place in a few months. (I got a second job at Tumblebus- something on which I will elaborate when I'm at a better computer.) I've also cut back on my television viewing, but I still watch a couple hours of Roseanne per day. (I'm a sick, sick girl.)

My next project is to regain (that's a word, right?) my social life. I have totally let my friendships fall by the wayside, but I want to try to reconnect with old friends and make new ones.

I also need to get started on my grad school search, and continue my hunt for a better full time job.

Tonight I'm really excited because I get to babysit my lil' sista, Molly Ann Schleck.

    Hope everyone is doing well.

Ms. Tiffany (as I am called on the Tumblebus)

Well, I just took my last test for my BA. I'm not sure how I did on it, so I'm still not 100% sure I'm getting a BA. I'll know soon enough.

So, yeah, tonight I'm going to celebrate. Probably just dinner or something. But I was wondering if anyone would like to go out this week?

Kelly...are you going to be.....nevermind, I'll call you tonight.

So, yeah, I may or may not be an anthropologist right now. So, yeah, not much has changed.
