A clear sign that I need to go to bed: I'm watching hurricane and volcano doom-and-gloom shows on the Discovery Channel. Which are fascinating and all but more than a little depressing.
Plus, the last time I did this I had the strangest dreams. One shouldn't dream of having the power to make Fuji-san erupt just because you share the same name.

It was nice that Japan won a figureskating medal. Though I'm a bit glad all of this is over. I like the summer games better.
Watching the various skiing and snowboarding events made me nostalgic, though. The Christmas trip is never long enough.

Neesan is shopping for an apartment. I'm not certain how serious she is about such an endeavor, mostly because the topic came up as we were sitting in the Shibuya station Starbucks today drinking lattes. She was laying out her cards, one by one, when suddenly she stood up, grabbed my hand, and off we went. The ones she liked wanted too much key money, I believe, but if nothing else the experience has convinced me that I need to live with my parents forever or marry very well. Apartments are expensive.
Test in classics tomorrow. Suppose I should at least read what it's over.

Visited my cousins in Osaka today. They have a cat. I think I have cat envy.
I did pick up a new lens for Haruka, though. Haggled it down by 7000 yen. I feel accomplished.

I have managed to join the photography club. This is not in place of the tennis club but more in addition to. They provide a number of opportunities throughout the year to exhibit work, and while I do not know if I should consider a hobby as a potential vocation, nor do I like to dismiss an option simply because it is not the obvious one. I've never made it a point to choose the obvious option.
Speaking of which, the cranberry jalapeno juice with whipped cream topping has been a smashing success at practice. I feel terribly proud of having inspired that one. ^___^ Not to mention it is very tasty.

I'm so glad your birthday celebration turned out special all around. Everyone really had a good time and I don't think anyone really means it when they said they hate you.
I think all of the disposable cameras I took will yield some great shots (or, rather, as great as they can considering the fixed focal length and general limitations of a disposable, but I didn't want to risk dropping one of mine...and potentially putting a crater in anyone on the ground. Gravity working at 10 meters per second per second can REALLY ramp up the force impact). The various flailings and chickening-out threats on the plane should be keepers. I'm just disappointed no one peed himself for posterity, that would have been funny.
