I think I’m bored of Bangalore. The pubs too.

I'm bored of Bangalore too. After a year, it dawns that Bangalore has nothing for the Bombayite.

I'm pretty sure its not a boresome town because Bangalore has a good number of interesting places/people/events than Hyderabad does. And i'm not bored of Hyderabad only yet :p

You're comparing Hyderabad and Bangalore. Prem is comparing Bangalore and Bombay, in which case it's natural that he finds Bangalore boring... :-D

Right. Dunno much about Hyderabad. I was there for a couple of days or so... good pubs, though.

Bangalore's a small town with nice pubs that don’t change and nothing much to do.

Bangalore is small, the movie places suck, the public transport sucks, the hangouts are crowded, and if you don't have many friends, you are fscked.

I'm back in Bombay and I already miss Bangalore.

(Rickshaw wallahs apart) Bangaloreans are some of the nicest and most friendliest people I've met.

There's a lot more to Bangalore then the pubs.

For a start the sigfood TODO list for Bangalore has a LOT of places which need checking out. Get on it.

Oye! What is this???

And yeah, I have long maintained that Bombay is the only city in the country. All others are villages wanting to be towns or towns wanting to be cities.

city trouble

I think it has more to do with familiarity, people, friends, the sights and sounds you are familiar with rather than the city itself. So, you are going through that classic case of missing_everything_but_blame_city-syndrome. : )

No dude, I know I can never go back to Bombay after living there
for more than 22 years! I am trying really hard to like Bangalore.
But its very very difficult coz every place is over-crowded, the
road are really bad, it is almost impossible to find parking space.

Everytime I had checked the movie timings for a particular movie in
TOI running at PVR, when I reach PVR it seems that either that movie
is not playing or the timings is something else!! darned!

Apart from MgRoad/BrigRd and Forum there really aren't any 'urban' places
to visit! and man! are those place crowded!

What about simply hanging out and sitting on the footpath while drinking
Pepsi? where the hell can I do that? there is no such in the whole of the
MG road area! If I sit with friends on the steps of a shop on Brig Road after 9:30 the police starts chasing us out! WOW! man! how I miss DP Road
and JM Road of Pune!! even at 11:30 in the night, families will be out eating and hanging out on the pavements.

I know, 'go settle somewhere else'...its difficult since my job is here and stuff. I think instead of telling people to shut up when they complain about the city, the govt and the localites should try to find what can be done to improve the city coz the improvement is not gonna benefit only people who are complaining but it will benefit every person staying in Bangalore. Cmon, dont you want a better Bangalore?

I have been staying in US for the last 4 years. There is not a single moment where I have stopped thinking abt my hometown, Bangalore. Well every place sucks if it too crowded/if it is not ur hometown. Its natural.

May be the government can control the IT companies so that these can be spread out in majority of the states. Thro this folks can stay in the home towns and reduce the over-infiltration. Bombay and Bangalore are the perfect examples of this over-infiltration.
Well its never late in case of bangalore atleast.

I have been working for Wipro for over 8 years now and feel terribly ashamed, aghast and annoyed for the current state that I find myself in. Infact I am struggling, creeping and falling over the same very issues over salary, promotion, career which I faced as a new joinee.

Its unbelievable that all wipro disgruntled employees go through this torture and do not utter a word. HR and Management takes them for a ride and completely annihilates them to the point of no return. All such employees are infact dead bodies with no soul and are just waiting to be 60 yrs old etc. so that they can return to some indian village and spend the rest of their lives with the absolute meagre pennies that they were paid as salary.
