Slublog: I Guess Some Pastors are More Scary than Others

(Slublog: Changing the World, One Rant at a Time)
I blogged this'n 'specially 'cause I like the name of the blog:
"The left and the press (but I repeat myself), seem okay with a pastor that calls for God to "damn America" (http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/Story?i d=4443788) but are collectively freaking out over the fact that a visiting pastor from Africa once prayed over Sarah Palin (http://hotair.com/archives/2008/09/25/v ideo-visiting-pastor-prays-over-palin-fo r-protection-from-witchcraft/) for protection from witchcraft. If I didn't know any better, I'd think there was some kind of double standard at play or something.( Read more... )

What follows here isn't real news, strictly speaking, but the reader may find it fun . . . depending upon how you look at things.
I just did a Tarot reading on the Democrats: What are they up to, how are they trying to accomplish their goals, and who is involved in that?
After I got an answer, I started to put the pack away, then decided it was relevant, and might have some additional interpretations. So I got the cards out again and laid them out. I'm sure I got all but one of them right, and in the right positions, but I'm not sure about the one for the Base of the Pillar (the present). For that one I chose the King of Coins, Reversed -- it felt right, somehow. No other card seemed to fit there.
Anyway, here's the layout, and my immediate interpretations:( Read more... )

Yeah, actually I am nostalgic for the time of the Cold War, when we knew exactly who our enemies were, and what direction missiles would be coming from. Today missiles, truck bombs, and you name it could be coming from anywhere, and an ally one day is an enemy, or at least indifferent to us, the next.( Read more... )
