Now THIS is one I will eagerly copy and paste into my own journal.. none of this- gay marriage is love, or Marilyn Manson is love.. :S

Just a note. A friend of mine died when she was 16. She had applied for her learners licence 2 weeks before, and ticked the square saying she wanted to be a donar.
Her heart, her liver, and her kidneys saved different 5 people's lives, and her corneas and other bits like that went on to make life much better for many other people.

This truly is love.

That was indeed fortunate.

I had ordered some informational brochures on organ donation after reading Eilan's article, and they said that maybe 1% of people who die in hospitals each year are eligible to donate organs (even before considering those who have consented to the procedure).

I can't be an organ donor, but I am a regular blood donor and I am also typed in the National Bone Marrow Registry.
