yeah, right. the ACLU has released documents that point a large smoking gun straight at the big shrubwad himself (aka president bush). the documents were acquired after the ACLU had to file a lawsuit against the fed for failing to reply to a freedom of information act request. *sniff sniff*. oh yeah, that gun reeks of smoke:

pdf document of the FBI email from which i extracted the above all the released documents
clearly international law is for wusses, if none of those listed items count as "abuse" for the FBI. just imagine yourself being treated like this. just what you'd expect from the land of the free that's bringing democracy to those poor underprivileged souls abused by hussein?
*spit*. |

So, the ACLU asks for an incriminating document and the feds refuse, knowing that by the time courts force them to hand it over the election will be behind them.
That's in keeping with the Bush administration's approach to "free" trade: violate the articles of your trade agreements, let it run through all the tribunals and appeals, then cave in at the last moment knowing that the two years which have passed have put the competition in the other country out of business.
And to think Bush consistently rated higher in the polls than Kerry on "morals".

Those aren't morals, they're tactics. Doing bad things for the right reasons is very big around here. Kerry's problem was a perception that he'd let the UN keep him from doing the hard things that were in America's best interest.
can i link to that image from my blog?
