"A Stranger from the Outside!"
The ebb and flow of my work and social meetings hit a high point last Friday, when I went to the Emeryville headquarters of Pixar. W00T.

Everything about the Pixar campus exudes the kind of whimsically-creative cool consistent with a studio that cranks out blockbuster after blockbuster. Sadly, the best displays are located on the second floor, where photography is forbidden, and thus I leave you with photos from the front lobby and whatever my zoom lens can capture from the ground level.

And tell me this isn't the cutest visitor badge ever (quote from those three-eyed vending-machine aliens from Toy Story):

Getting thrown out of there for taking an illicit photo is not worth it for me ... but MAN I was tempted to use my cameraphone to take a few quiet shots of stuff I saw on the second floor of the Pixar office ... original plaster busts of the cast of the Incredibles, Bob "Mr. Incredible" Parr's office, concept art, the original script for Finding Nemo ... oh man. :P

Incredible. I especially like the reverse pic of the PIXAR main entrance. Not ordinary.

I love the movie industry. Sometimes I think going into tech / computer side was the wrong choice.

Tough call ... there are some I know who are in the entertainment industry who are unhappy in their niche. :P Tho I've not heard that complaint from anyone at Pixar, natch.
