I'm still alive, and thinking about completing two fics in time for Halloween!
I don't even know if anyone's still reading this.
I guess real life sort of got in the way but at least I have my website up and running now and I have a job starting soon, yay! So I can use my commuting time for scribbling in my notebook.
I have so much written for one fic, it's practically complete in my notebook, I'll start typing it up this week. |

It's a bit wrong when you find fragments of writing in an old word document that you don't even remember writing but know you did. And they're utterly disturbing to the point where it makes me uncomfortable to read them! I have 14 fic ideas in various stages ranging from one liners to three pages, and none completed. Clearly something has to be done! But I don't know if I should carry on, but I should at least try and complete some of these fics at least, I have too many challenges that I've never completed. I hate not finishing things, so I should do them just for the sake of it, especially the three or four ones that I have really fleshed out... a bit of creativity never hurt anyone, and some people might enjoy them! Thank you to whoever nominated me at the Wrong Side Of The Tracks awards, the winners were announced a couple of weeks ago and they're all utterly fantastic! Current Mood:  contemplative |

Wow guys I'm so proud that I have been nominated in two categories for The Wrong Side Of The Tracks awards. I love my fics as I know I don't write many of them but I do work hard on them and I feel really pleased that some of you like them too! I have at least three more stories on the way, so I promise this journal and ff.net will be updated at least before Halloween! Also if you add me, please leave a comment and let me know otherwise I'm completely clueless as to whether people have added me or not! Plus it'll help me get my bum in gear to write more fic! |

What's a better idea for a Two-Bit Halloween fic, if he's made up as a zombie or Frankenstein's monster?
I simply can't decide... I love the idea of a Zombie!Two-Bit but the lit geek in me cries out for Frankenstein's monster. Either way it's gotta be green!
Am in the midst of typing up some drafts, may need a beta in the next coming weeks.. I also really want to overhaul the hintonverse community, make it all nice and proper! Just in case people would like to write in there again, I know I want to post more. |

I've got 8 more story ideas and I'm hoping to get rough drafts written for all of them when I'm on holiday! I never seem to write short stories, except for two things I put up on FF.net which weren't even stories they were just... ehh, whatever. But the ones I really like, they seem to grow into mini character epics. Sometimes I wish I was the kind of person who did chapters and things but I just... don't.
Anyway, on those eight more ideas, I'm quite stuck on one of them and it's stopping me from carrying on with the story so would anyone be able to help me with a plot idea and what would be best to do? It's a Two-Bit and Kathy story. |

I just got a massive urge to write an (i think) original plot idea for a Kathy/Two-Bit fic and yet I have to finish off my essay *whines*
I need to do this work then I can do stuff like fic and make icons and tidy up the hintonverse community.

I also want to get the Hintonverse community going again, it's been a bit slow since October :( Should I do a Christmas challenge? ask people if they want icons? do a graphic of the greasers with christmas hats?
I think if i get my fic100 prompts done, I'll start adding those to the comm. |

1,972 words done of a Two-bit and Johnny knife bonding story. My mind is way too slashy, I had to change a few sentences so I wouldn't be so cliche. For instance, I changed a line from "stay with me tonight" to "stay at mine tonight"!
I think I like it, the ideas, the situations I have but I'm really worried about my physical writing of this, my usage of past and present tenses have gone absolutely to pot and I think I need to rewrite the whole first section due to the tenses skipping like fuck. I don't know why it's so difficult for me to use the right tense. :(
I think my wrong use of tenses have affected the characterisation too, because I wasn't sure whether I was doing it past or present that the story didn't flow as well as my others have. There's a lot I need to change I think :(
I think I'll post it at FF.net when it's all done and for a change I'll make it into chapters since those ff.netters love their chapters and it'll give me more feedback ;)
(plus S.E Hinton reads fic there and I want her to read mine :( Actually I don't know if I do.. It's a bit weird because I don't try writing her characters with a style of my own like others do.. argh. I don't know.) |

I have four fics in various stages of completion. I'm annoyed with one with Two-Bit as I had more grandiose ideas for it but it's not moving anywhere past 369 words so maybe that's it for that one, I sent it to someone for a beta once but it was so long ago I've lost the email reply :(
One is a Two-Bit/Johnny and knife one which may even deserve a chapter! Or I'll just make it into one longer fic.
The other two have opening paragraphs and not much else other than that. hmmm.
I've got at least two three more fic ideas as well, this is mad. But the kind of insanity that I love.
I just need to get this Contemporary Writing essay done for next Monday, then I can write fic up until Christmas whilst doing dissertation work as well as some essays for January. |

I watched the main church part of The Outsiders last night and it's so emo, it's fantastic. the boys cry and hug each other lots and say things like "you know that one horse store this morning, man? Two-Bit could have walked out with the whole thing.. Good old Two-Bit huh?" and discuss whether Dally or Soda are more gallant. Then there's a scene where Johnny snuggles up with Ponyboy, it's so sweet. |

Forgive me for I have sinned.
I haven't seen my extended version of The Outsiders all the way through yet just seen bits and peices of some of the new scenes that I love (the new beginning, the ending, the Two-Bit scene, the Tim Shepherd "thanks for the use of your couch" scene, ahhaha Ponyboy's face when he looks back at the couch is like "WHAT have you been doing on my couch?!").. Imagine my surprise when I read a fan review that says they really liked the new scenes especially "how when Johnny is laying in the bed looking at Two-Bit and Ponyboy with the mirror."
*twitches with the violent impact of plot bunnies landing in her brain*
Only a few hours until I wake up from sleep, clean for Jack's, make myself some lunch, go home and then stick this baby in the DVD player... if it's plugged in, that is, as my laptop doesn't work with region 1 dvds anymore :(

You KNOW, SOMETIMES I AM A RIGHT PLANK. In my reading of that line, I COMPLETELY FORGOT about the whole hospital bed/mirror scene thing :( which was what they meant.
My poor brain got too excited at the thought of Healthy!Johnny in a bed and spying on Two-Bit and Ponyboy with a mirror. I am a fool :( and been thinking of too much fanfiction maybe :( |

All Hallow's Eve - Motorcycle Boy fic. A random thing I wrote about Motorcycle Boy on Halloween, I filled the story with loads of meanings and a little foreshadowing and terms that refer to things from the book and film, etc. I like some bits of it but I just wanted to write something. I still have quite a few other fics to write but that grid thing I posted earlier will help with inspiring some other fics, I already have a tentative idea for another Rumble Fish father one... possibly.. That might not be a long one though. This was inspired by something a friend said during an MSN conversation I think, it just made me start thinking of this scenario in my head and I wrote the main bulk really quickl but now I've gone and added more to it, I feel like it's not good enough now or it focuses too much on RJ in the beginning, where I should have made it more about Cassandra maybe. ( all hallow's eve ) |

I miss writing fic. I also feel a really strong urge to write Beecher/Keller fic because that show Oz, is so addictive. The characters get in your head!
I mean, Keller breaks Beecher's arms, legs (under orders from someone who hated Beecher) and his heart as he'd gotten him to fall in love with him. THEN Keller falls in love with him and spends a whole series asking him for forgiveness and love. Their relationship is so possessive and obsessive, so intense, unhealthy and it's prison!male!love! There are some sweet romantic bits, and some awful bits where Beecher goes a bit mad and sleeps with different men and Keller in his own twisted jealous way, kills them all and says to Beecher, "be careful where you stick your dick. that baby's lethal"
Then there's Ryan O Rielly who falls in love with a nurse when he's diagnosed with cancer, and he gets his mentally retarded brother outside prison to kill her husband?!
All I need to do is get the DVDs and then I can get this show out of my system yes.
*swats away the images of Keller straddling a tied up Beecher on a chair, ripping off duct tape from his mouth and kissing him passionately*
But my next fic I will do is Sandy's pregnancy one I think. mmm a bit of angst. |
