I thought my cat was too lazy to come upstairs to my room but apparently I was wrong. At least it was better than the backhoes and jackhammers that have been starting work promptly at 8:00AM with equipment (really loud trucks) coming in at 7:15 everyday this week. I don't have much to do today I have to keep myself from getting too bored.

boring stuff
If you had text messaging then my communications would be a whole lot easier. It's ok though, I can just call you 50,000 times in a row... its even more ok because most of the time my calls don't go through anyway.
In other news, school is boring... I should get a job... and I want to go swimming, in a pool, like.. soon. This weekend is mostly dedicated to seeing relatives, for some reason Adam has agreed to let me drag him around with me while I talk about where I'm going to college, and what happened with robotics, and all sorts of fun stuff that everyone get asked by their aunts and uncles multiple times. Hopefully it won't be too horrible. I also get to see my little cousin which I am actually looking forward to. I should get a present for her, maybe. It'll be fun, she probably remembers who Adam is.

Brasil
So guess where I am right now... I'm in Brazil... with robotics... in a hotel room to myself. So far the trip hasn't been bad. The whole day of traveling made me really tired, but now that I've had some sleep I'm back to normal. Yesterday we had some exhibition matches, but later I think we're actually competing with the 8 or so teams that are here (2 from the US and the rest from Brasil).

The Robotics season just goes on and on
So... we are going to Brazil. For Real. I was really skeptical about it happening, but now I think we've applied for visas and have gotten our passports ready so we're ready to go. It'll be 5 of us going.. Me and Adam, and Mark, Will, and Spiers... I miss a week of school (and Senior prom) and it is going to be a lot of fun. We're going down there to have a little competition, but it is more of a demonstration to possible corprate sponsors. Too bad I don't know how to speak Portuguese, I'll have to learn some phrases. Oh wait, but I don't have any time... Next week is tech week, then I have a "week off"... but not really because there will probably be a lot of preparations for this May 14 competition that we're holding at school, not to mention the shows at the end of the week.
The shows are pretty hard too... everything moves pretty fast and there are a lot of props and I have no help really, at least not yet, my crew has yet to show their faces... I have to make sure I have enough black clothing.. I probably do... but I have to remember to either not wear it all before shows or do my laundry. Oh yeah, and there is no room backstage... too many set pieces.. I think im just going to sit in the model T most of the time... Then the last show is the 15th I think... guess when we leave for Brazil... the 16th! That'll be a lot of fun. Robotics is so great. All the good people, well most of the good people, are going on the trip too.. Oh yeah, and once again I'm the only girl. Hopefully Latham will mess things up and I'll get a room to myself instead of sharing with one of the women from FIRST...

10-5 on Friday and 9-3 (if we get to the finals) on Sat.
The matches are really fun to watch. Its in NYC so you can come and then do something else if you want. This is what I've been doing for the past 3 months, but really more like what I've been doing for the past year and a half. There is lots of music and people and it'll be lots of fun.
