Neil Gaiman's doing something pretty cool with his most recent book, The Graveyard Book. He's on a 9-city tour, reading out loud one chapter per city, and a video of each is going up on Mouse Circus. He's in SF yesterday and today, and I'm heading over soon. It's at the Kabuki (and has indeed, unsurprisingly, sold out), which is awesome by itself, but it also means I can just walk over there. :) Tickets were only $28 and include a signed hardback copy of the book.

My trip went really well. No mechanical issues, and aside from one really wet and foggy stretch near Mt St Helens, the weather was wonderful. I think I've fallen in love with roadtripping... (*calculates when I'll have enough vacation time to do another one*)
Seeing the world at that level just emphasizes for me the interconnectedness of everything.
I've had my bike 20 months, and I've ridden it 20K miles. :)
The time in Seattle was fun, too. It was so good to see

This is where I'll be next week.
The green markers are overnight stops. Leaving Sunday - 3 days up, 1 day in Seattle, 3 days back. I'd accrued a week of vacation time at work so I thought I'd use it. I have an aunt and uncle in McMinnville and I'll be staying with
lalabob11 and
jaberwockynmt in Seattle. Yay! I'm excited. I wont be bringing my laptop, so I wont be online hardly at all, though I will be twittering.

- 22:00 i have to say, i'm definitely a fan of the genius playlists #
- 23:06 but it seems to stick to the mainstream artists, which is unfortunate, but understandable (at this early point in its development, at least) #

A car thief was running from police, "jumped over a 3-foot wall at the end of Alta Street and plunged the equivalent of 20 stories. He was pronounced dead at the scene."

This is on my long term to-do list:
http://www.motorbiketours.co.nz/
Maybe since I have to be at least 25, I could do that for my 25th bday. 2011 (or 2012 since riding season's December to March), cant wait! ;)
