wheeeee!
Had a very fun day withbanazir. Poor guy was pulled in several directions at most times, at one point had office phone on one ear and cell phone on the other. Got a chance to poke around the machine room and labs, always fun. And got to see the K State campus in beautiful Manhattan, KS. Hopefully we were helpful at least in pointing the right direction on the video project he had going, hopefully we can be more help as it rolls along.
Got home, was developing a headache in the car, and discovered that I may be needed to testify on Wednesday in a case I've consulted on. ugh. I work Wednesday and to get a shift trade at this late date is going to be a royal pain in the arse. Also the lawyers can't tell me if they'll need me for sure, but they want me there "on the 1 in 100 chance" they do actually need me. Argh, I really do not want to go through all the pain and anguish of trading a shift, driving to Columbia, only to be sent home again. I'm really going to have to reconsider the consulting stuff if this kind of thing happens too much more often, especially with Dizzy going back to full time work. I don't want to give it up, I really don't, but this kind of thing seems to be so inflexible, and I just don't have the kind of job where I can take half a day off at a moments notice most of the time. double ::Sigh:: All that and the tension headache that started in the car is now much worse.
Back to work tomorrow, I'm out at station 2 with the lesser favorite captain. Ward is a nice guy and we get along pretty well, but he's very picky about station duties, and sometimes it can be annoying to be out there with him. But it could be worse I guess. oh wait it is worse, dial-up only. double ugh. oh and Saturday is lawn maintenance, that means mowing, triple ugh. ah well still it will be fun to be back to work, and maybe it will help me get rid of this ick and off center feeling I've had all week. Although with the possibility of testifying coming up on me and keeping my stress levels up, I don't know how much fun I'll really have.
