Insane in three minutes

It all started around 10am yesterday, when the next door neighbor to angela's apartment started playing loud music. And I really mean loud music. Its not the first time the drunken bum/schmuck has done something like this. Just to let you know how noisy...Angela's apartment and the neighbor were on the third floor. on the first floor, you can still hear the loud blaring music clearly.

The first time this happened, I knocked, asked nicely for them to tone done only to be confronted with hostility by a drunk person who was staying there..

Like what I said to Angela (which I also let the other guy hear), we'll go directly to her tito the owner of the apartment next time.

Since they were noisy, Angela and I went to the market to get some goods and decided that if they (there were two or three of them in there, obviously having a drinking session), were still noisy we'd go and tell her uncle. When we got back, it was still as noisy as hell. so we approached the uncle and asked him to tell the tenant to tone down the music.

laughing very hard right now.

yeah, finally i get my hands on my own laptop.

of course, konami thinks i might be spending more time with (hikaru/hikari, can't decide on a name yet) but i won't be. once its running fine and dandy, then i can leave it alone.

well that will change once i get some kind of portable wireless internet connection. already looking into a few options right now.

anyway, back to the topic, the laptop.

how did I manage to get enough cash to buy a laptop?

initially, I was thinking that i might get a credit card and just charge it. what I didn't realize is that my backpay from my previous employment at convergys actually scored me cash in the area of 32K. I was speechless as i stared at the check at that time. I was expecting a meager 7K to 10K. not triple that.

anyway, after the check cleared, first thing I did was look for a laptop to buy. thankfully, before that, konami and i had a date in glorietta and i got my hands on a couple of flyers. this introduced me to the presario c793tu.

not many people may like it...but looking at the specs and the capabilities...it made me drool.

not to mention for the price, it sounded ok.

with that laptop in mind, I had my dad help me and konami get to gilmore. once there, we scoured maybe around 8 to 10 shops checking for laptops and what kind of competitive prices they had.

it was annoying though. even though i was paying cold hard cash, there wasn't much of a discount in the stores. the most amusing one was one that offered freebies. the price was stuck at 29.9K. i wanted at least maybe 1K left on me. i wanted to celebrate after all.

then this one shop, we managed to get the laptop at 29,200 php. konami covered the 200php. I know she didn't have too much money on her at that time but every little bit counts. she initially offered to help with around 2K but I declined. she needs money too for her cosplay needs.

anyway, with that laptop secured, here I am, a couple of days later fixing and making things work on it. of course, having no preinstalled or packaged OS, it made things difficult looking for drivers and such. but, hey, I'm used to looking for drivers for the odd hardware device or two.

now, all I'm doing is letting the computer download all the necessary drivers. time-consuming, but worth it.

of course, my parents having obtained a dsl connection helps. I don't want to use it for online games though. I've been weaning myself off game-addiction for quite some time now, with some success. but that's another story.

here's to another chapter of me being more geeky. =3

it feels good to use something that I actually bought my own money. =3

i know i did say that I'd try to post more often.

but its a bit difficult to do that. why? mainly because I don't have pretty much to say. what can I say? that most of the time I'm either working or with Nami?

hmm. yeah. that might work.

anyway, like I said its hard to keep in touch. mostly because most of the people i know rely on their computers to keep in touch. Me? I can only rely on my cellphone. I'm eyeing on getting maybe a credit card to finance my way onto a laptop. then I'll probably just get the needed internet access to keep in touch more often. but things don't go as you plan most of the time, something that many people know.

as for work, well, I was pretty much slated to be a CQA in our office. got the training already just need some more things. but guess what? politics got in the way. I'm talking about inter-site politics. Cubao Site Vs. Alabang Site. last point goes to Alabang coz the Boss of the CQA's is based there and decided on someone who is...
a) someone who has been in alabang for i dunno...2 years but still hasn't been promoted
b) lacks the training for CQA which is not exactly easy (try rating out of a 100 points 10 calls and make sure that the margin of difference between you and the other examiner is less than 4%. Oh and most of the time, one mistake means 10% markdown already. ((FYI = passing for quality audit is 98% )). in addition to this, the guy who apprenticed me? He's top CQA in cubao and in his case...it took him about 4 tries to get it down to pat to get certified to audit. and that's on 10% difference margin. He's much proud and confident in me that I did it on my first try on a 4% margin difference. for someone who wasn't even regular yet at that time.
c) it takes roughly around 2 weeks before that audit certification thing to get processed...so if this...NEW cqa fails the audit...it'll take roughly 3 to 4 months before Cubao site gets a much needed CQA. NOT GOOD NEWS.

enough rants for now. I just wish the CEO of the company gets wind when the CQA in training now falls flat on their face when someone more qualified was just waiting in line. oh I almost forgot to mention that Cubao Site just needs 3 CQAs. currently there are 2. And 2 Team Leads and both CQA's are already pushing for me to become the next CQA. Go figure why I said its politics.

as for relationships, my god. Nami and I are about to reach our first anniv. We consider the first time we met as the the basis. And that is Toycon 2007. It'll be Toycon 2008 in a week or so. Yey =3.

I'll have to thank Neph and Chepot for convincing me to go. If I weren't there...then I wouldn't have ended up talking to Nami on a busride home and finding out she was moving to my street in a few weeks.

with that aside, its about time I went to sleep. I have to pick up nami from work in about 4 hours.

Its been quite some time since I've posted on LJ. according to this handy dandy homepage, its been roughly twenty weeks since I've posted. Being lazy right now (Read as doing something else, like setting up the Eyetoy on the PS2 for my Mom/niece/nephew), I didn't bother to check when I last posted.

I've been staying almost everyday with Angela/Nami for the past several months. I have to admit that staying with her almost everyday has changed a lot of things for me. I won't go into detail to what those are, but I can tell that some of them are still in the works but are showing to be nice principles and ideas.

What else have I been doing aside from being with the girl I love? Well, I've been spending time at work and with my psp. Work has been easier compared to my previous Tech Support job. Its actually easier for me with this new Medical Account. Of course, there are still some problems at work. Like insane number of calls and such but still its manageable.

On my PSP, two games are dominating. One is Patapon (thanks to Justin for telling me about this game) and the other is God of War: Chains of Olympus. Currently, am on the God route for GoWCoO while on Patapon, I've also finished it and just giving it some time off.

I'll try to be more active in posting once again. Even if its just once a week.

but first things first. I want to treat her out. Most likely Heaven and Eggs at Trinoma. When we were there, heading to bitch_kicka's place, she grabbed a menu pamphlet and was instantly curious/ravenous about the "Dearest Bacon, Love Eggs". I have to say that I am also interested. Afterwards, purikura. she loves purikura. I like it too coz its...well...cute. and I get to see her happy and genki.

what else can I say? not much. on the me side, i've been more busy about my psp since i got my psp cd's back. I'm trying to download "coded arms:contagion" for the psp but its difficult with 56k. pif. let's see...also expectant about the warhammer 40K game for the psp.

i'm not spending too much time with the computer anymore coz...its more enjoyable to be with nami. hands down.

been quite some time since I posted again. blah. for the most part its because of my computer breaking down.

after multiple checks...at first it appeared to be the video card *GASP* oh noes! NOT THAT! VERY NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.

but before I can verify this (by sticking another vid card in it), boom bad luck strikes. something happened to the heat sink of the computer...basically, one of the clamps that holds the sink down on the processor, ergo the processor to the board, was broken.

it may be a coincidence that my dad tried to clean the computer. bleh.

anyways, because of that, no computers for me at home. this made me get on the PS2 more often.

not that I get to play on it much. its either my niece and nephew are bawling their lungs out to play the Eyetoy (an amusing piece of hardware that can take the fickle attention of 3 to 5 year olds for at least an hour) or I'm off to visit angela. =3 i like being with her.

anyway, for the first time i bought myself shoes! yes, peropero now has shoes that DON'T LOOK like combat boots or have been through hell and back (and ready for a return visit to hell).

its a pair of Chucks, colored navy blue. they are not as heavy as the shoes i'm used to (instead of thump, thump, thump when I'm walking its more of pat, pat, pat). thanks to angela for helping me choose a pair (and i liked the design! reminds me of the college days when I was forced to use my combat boots for everyday use)

lolz. looks like this will be my last few weeks at convergys. damned stat changes have completely nailed my chances of passing again that scorecard and now i have to look for another job.

been another few days since I've posted. not that amazing for me imo. I've been not online for quite some time.

what has happened for the past several days? well, the most major would probably last Saturday.

what happened? oh just me accompanying some of my friends on their cos-trip.

Cos-trip? well basically, its....cosplay trip. the main point however (I assume, I know little about it as of now) is that you dress up as a certain theme. Not as a character from anime/manga/show/movie.

for example, the theme then was..."Dominatrix Teacher, Teacher's Pet and the Teacher's Love Affair".

anyway's bitch_kicka is the loli teacher's pet. she looks the part right? I was told she looks cute and loli, but I didn't expect her to look THAT cute and THAT LOLI.

dark_profanity is the Dominatrix Teacher. She looked the part and had the attitude too. She has that "smile" that makes you know she will do something bad to you...and you will like it.

Diego, someone who I just met there and I don't know that well, is the Teacher's Love Affair. I have to say, quite a number of girls did turn and stare in his general direction.

anyways, some other's were there like seedsop and ushuaia who...well did seem to dress normally at that time (like me!).

another person I met for the first time there is Angela. i have to say it though, I didn't recognize that she was cosplaying as someone and there i was saying that its hard to cosplay as a character (found out in dark_profanity's entry! Argh, stupid tactless me. Gomen! =(

Things seem to be doing good right now. Lots of things occupying my head so that my mind is pretty much occupied. Prevents lots of ideas from sprouting inside it. It seems to be working so far. Hope I don't go crazy again. T.T

instead of forcing my mind to stop thinking which, in itself, is extremely difficult for me to do. so what I do instead is to make it work. books, music, and a near constant awareness of whats happening prevents me from actually thinking.

looks like I managed to get myself back to...a semblance of the normal me. i still have some animosity around me but actually reading books and drinking either tea or coffee helps me calm down. Also, massive distraction keeps the brain working. Seems that the more my brain stops to think about stuff, the more I get to becoming depressed.
