After hours of brainstorming, graphic-making, coding, coding, coding, coding, re-coding... I combined my two loves: Stone Temple Pilots and Star Trek! It took me a while to figure out how I was going to shoehorn STP in there but I remembered their space/stellar-themed video "Days of the Week" and was off to the races! There are a couple STP easter-eggs in my layout :)

The colors and images I am using to house my entries and stuff is based on the LCARS computer display from Star Trek: The Next Generation and onward. I did give some serious thought to making the layout Enterprise-themed, with the little grey boxes and stuff, but LCARS looks so much cooler ;)

I could NOT have done this layout without grrliz's Flexible Squares tutorial in the_lj_reboot and the incredible services of s2flexisquares, kentucka, afuna, and snakeling.

Also, thank you to minty_peach here for tweaks. Nifty tiny icons came from famfamfam.com.
