JOKER for the best enigmatic enemy of batman! I like his performance in the movie DARK KNIGHT. He made an excellent villain impression. But too bad I heard Heath Ledger died and it makes it even more dramatic ending. T____T

I bet for 'BOSES' for the best Cinemalaya Film this year. So far I've seen Baby Angelo, Huling Pasada, Concerto and Boses. Boses really made a big impact to audiences. Probably the best cinematography, best screen play and the best musical direction. Watch it guys.

In two consecutive nights, I watched 2 unusual movies that inspires me.
First is the "Love in the Time of Cholera". A movie I've been longing for so long from the time time I saw the DVD at the Shotlist Gallery Katipunan road. Just to summarize the story, it's about a 2 lovers, where in the girl was married to a doctor and the guy waited for 52 year 7 months blah blah and they live happily ever after. But that's not what makes it a good movie. It's the whole storyline that makes it outstanding on how the guy waited for 52 years, killing all the pain he feels for being lonely by having a sexual affair with other girls. And he list it all into his diary and shockingly he managed to do it in 622 girls. But in the end, the girl was able to accept his old lover after her husband died. The twists is what makes me moved on how the guy persistently send poems to the old lady and luckily afterwards, the old lady started appreciating the letters and fell in love again.
The second movie I watched was the movie shown by the Japan Foundation. I attended the opening ceremony of Eiga Sai at the Shangrilla Cineplex. The title of the movie is "We Shall Overcome Someday". It's about the drama of Korean and Japanese Student gang war. The Imjin river song struck me most. At the ending part of the movie, a guy was playing this song while a rumble was happening on the river. Bunch of korean and japanese were fighting and the match turned to be draw even though the koreans were out numbered . The koreans show their guts, as what the title says. The korean managed to survived the racism era in Japan. And that's how it should be, there should be no discrimination to other races. I hope others could watch it and learn something meaningful to this.

3:55 pm - CFAD Freshmen Walktour 2008
|
UST CFAD welcomes freshmen yearly and this year I handled the 1st year painting students with the help of my other painting friends Carlo Masajo, Mary Joy Buenaventura, Ku Romillo, Raffy Lamadrid and Miguel Borja. A big thanks also to the CFAD student council for the assist.
All of the CFAD organizations performed a mini production. AAP debuts their first participation as an official recognized UST CFAD organization. Thanks to Maritoni for completing all the requirements.

Kahapon nakisakay ako sa aming bossing na si Buds Convocar papuntang Luneta galing kaming Manila Yacht Club. At ayun, nagulat na lang ako nakita ko sa pinambalot na dyrayo ng pagkain ng katabi ko ang muka ni Alodia! Sabi ko una parang kamuka ni Alodia, tas familiar ung artwork(mga artwork nya sa deviantart nya). Tas nung nabasa ko, Alodia Gosiengfiao nga! Wakokok! La lang natawa na lang ako! 2 page sya sa Inquirer Lifestyle section front page.
Anyway, I attended yesterday the NCAA Sail Painting Exhibit. We joined this competition a week ago representing UST-CFAD and we hit 7th place out of 29 other schools and professional groups. We just got lucky though. The layout is our last minute design. I decided to change our initial layout since we ran out of time. I copied Alfredo Esquillo style and it made quite a visual impact. The artwork shows a dramatic scene of a boy riding a paper boat in a surealistic bodies of water and environment including fish and birds. I like it! At least we got into the top 10. ^___^
