16th-Aug-2008 11:27 pm - I'm 20
cheers >> passion
Wow. I'm 20 today. I've been alive for 2 decades. I'm not a teenager. I'm not fully an adult either. This is scary.

I need some new wallpaper for my computer. Now to find the best Sam and Diane pictures and the best Betty and Allen pictures. For two wallpapers. The hotness factor would be through the roof if I tried to combine the four into one wallpaper. You know what happens if it's just the four that are on one wallpaper? Power grids explode and half the USA goes into complete darkness. lol
30th-Jun-2008 10:11 pm - The TV Rant
MASH >> All surrendered
I feel I need to rant about television mainly TV Land. I'm not putting this under a cut because it deserves to be read without a cut.

When did TV Land become movie and reality land? I love classic TV. I don't need movies to stop on their channel if I'm channel surfing. If I've never heard of the movie and chances are I haven't, I'm going to keep going to another channel. If it's reality crap or Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, I'm definitely going to keep flipping. If TV Land wants me to watch their channel, I expect to see classic TV. It was something they were known for and still should be. Showing I Dream of Jeannie, Happy Days, Mr. Ed, Green Acres, or Gilligan's Island? I'm going to stay. Show your stupid She's Got The Look and I'm going to leave. They recently honored Garry Marshall at the TV Land Awards and they are currently airing NONE of his shows. What's wrong with that picture? I see Just Shoot Me on there. Just Shoot Me? No! 90s sitcoms that aren't funny don't belong there. The station was fine in 2000, why mess with perfection? Maybe I want to see shows that aren't on DVD yet!

I blame Viacom. They ruin every channel they own. CMT doesn't show many country music videos anymore, Nickelodeon went down the crapper shortly after 2000, MTV and VH1 are pretty much nonexistent in music videos. Need I go on?

I seriously think there should be a station for 90s shows, one for 80s shows, one for 70s shows, another for 60s shows, and another one for the 50s and below. If there can be a Game Show Network, why haven't these channels been tried? Besides money. Hell, I'd appreciate a network that was just classic talk shows like with Johnny Carson, Merv Griffin, Jack Paar, or Dinah Shore.

Don't you think by 2008 this should've happened already?

What about a channel that would be catered to what you like? You would choose a variety of different shows from a list of shows with practically every show in existence that would air from approximately 6AM - 1AM. It would be brought to you by your local cable company and you would pay a mighty amount each month for it. Now if that would ever happen, don't you think it would give the companies a better idea of what one wants on a channel?

So according to a reliable source on the GSN forums, DVD releases abound this fall into winter!
Password in fall
Match Game Vol.2 in September
Tattletales should be October or November
What's My Line either November or December

For some reason, I'm super excited about Tattletales. Probably because it's not on the GSN schedule at all. I better save my money. Looks like I'll be spending a ton for some well worth it shows.

If you're a Family Feud or To Tell The Truth fan, look for something early next year.

I better ask for gift cards for Christmas...

5th-Jun-2008 11:22 pm - She's been on since when?!
Cheers >> Old!Sam and Old!Diane dance
I need you to think about the following statement.

Betty White has been on television since 1949.

That will be 60 years next year.

I just realized she'll have been on TV for as long as Shelley Long's been alive. There. Think about that too.

She's been on every incarnation of Password. What? You haven't seen her on Million Dollar Password yet? Wait until June 12th.

For 86 years old, she still looks amazing.

Wait until June 15th and you'll see her on the TV Land Awards accepting the Pop Culture Award for Golden Girls with Rue and Bea.

You can't stop Betty White Ludden.

Finals are done and over with! I can finally relax for three months!

I think know I have a new ship. Let's see how well you can guess who it is.

Hint #1: Real life husband and wife married for 17 years.

Hint #2: He's been dead for nearly 27 years.

Hint #3: He was a popular game show host and she's a very popular actress.

Figured it out yet? Hint #3 should've given it away.

If anyone has more photos of the two, would you show them to me, I'd really appreciate it! Plus, I wanna make icons. :)

Cheers >> Old!Sam and Old!Diane dance
I really want to do some country lyric icons. One problem: I don't know what patterns to use for it. Should it just be one solid color or a mix of colors? I use GIMP if that helps.

I feel frustrated for some reason.

So close to being done with school for the summer. I'm excited. I just want to be able to relax.
