First: Otakon
 - I really, really want to get a quality photoshot done in my Cutey Honey costume! Are any photographers going to be there and willing to give me some time! Second: Dragon*Con
 - My roommate and I am planning to drive to Dragon*Con this year. It's about a 12-hour drive. We will be meeting up w/ Meg's little caravan in Indy too! We're looking for 1 or 2 people to join us for the trip, to help cut down cost of gas &  share the driving. Please let me know if you or anyone else in the Chicao area is interested in joining us!

Gee, I feel: i love the heat

I have a back log of written posts somewhere around here! I've been holding back b/c although I certainly do want to write A LOT about my sexcapades ...part of me thinks perhaps that's TMI for most of my readers. And then there's the niggling thought about privacy (or rather, lack of) on the internet and possible regrets in the future. So I just keep writing and saving them and telling myself I'll sneak them out when my Friends List leasts expects it! 
...Alternately, maybe I should start a separate blog.

The "radio" show was postponed to next Wednesday, which is actually great for me since I have a nasty ear infection right now. All this traveling and partying has finally caught up with me, mutating the mild cold/sinus infection I've been weakly fighting off into some nasty, deafening ear infection. 

I quoted "radio" b/c it's not actually on the radio; it's a podcast. 
My friend is Bob Dubilina, co-host of the show BFN. He and Kyle talk about music and life in Chicago, but mostly, their sex lives and online dating, mostly OKCupid.
Okay, I'm pretty skeptical about comedy shows...  but I was surprised at how funny these guys are!

I'm selling my Yoko costume to earn some money for Dragon*Con! Everything is in very good condition. The costume was worn twice. I'm a size 4, but almost all of this stuff is stretchy and practically size-free. It would fit sizes 2-8. The belt is about 28" around. The boots are size 7.5 The wig has a base of wonderflex to keep the ponytail nice and high. This does make it a bit heavy; with lots of bobby pins, you'll be able to keep it on and straight. The barrette is removeable. The chopsticks are a bit tricky--I had to take them out for travel and re-glue them every time I wore it. The gun itself is not so great-- some of the paint is chipping, and it is missing the bipod. That's why I'm only asking $75 dollars for it. It is made out of PVC pipe, wood, and cardboard. The base of the gun was screwed together; not glued, so it will not fall apart! The pipe base screws apart for easy transport. This listing includes the following. We'll start off the party with a few casual Maid Cafe activities... and yes, we'll have food & tea of course, and little freebies. 

Then around 9pm Pure Vision Films will show a preview of their cosplay documentary (it's really great, you guys!). They've been filming all over Illinois, and at Ohayocon... So if you were filmed or interviewed by them, you can't miss this! 



at 10pm, DJ DriveByKitty and DJ Daguru will spin live music! So get your little booties out here and dance, babies!

We are definitely checking IDs at the door! We'll have wristbands for 21+, so you can still come of course and hang out and dance if you're not 21 yet!

Gee, I feel: mischievous

Satoshi Kon is easily my favorite (non-porno) anime directer. Even as my interest in getting into long anime series wanes, I always love watching his movies & short series, like Paranoia Agent. Perfect Blue is probably still my favorite anime movie. 

I've always wanted to cosplay from one of Kon's works, since I very first heard of cosplay. Well, I finally got around to it!

Katsucon was a blast! I am just going to post (a lot of) pictures (of me) for now. I'll write more under a f-locked post later (as usual). 

I did end up wearing Yoko for a few hours, despite my trepidations. And of course, everything was cool. And I got to do a couple small photoshoots, which totally rocked. That's the way to go! I love that I can just go to a couple people for the picture that are sure to be awesome, instead of scouring Photobucket accounts for candid shots of me.
