Bobby Lees (who injected dialectical materialism into Abbott and Costello comedies)
"The best—and most surprising—scene finds Zoc and Lucas comparing the colony’s Communist ethic to the “Every man for himself” lifestyle of human cities. Though the global implications will soar over kids' heads, the provocative cultural critique will give parents more to ponder than the average kiddie outing."
ZOC: So this city of yours - it's like a nest? LUCAS: Yeah, kind of... ZOC: And the humans that live there are all brothers working together for the greatness of their colony? LUCAS: Not exactly. It's a little more like, you know, every man for himself. ZOC: But that's so... primitive. How anything ever gets done? LUCAS: Some people work together. ZOC: Some! Why not all? LUCAS: I suppose because of their differences. ZOC: But it's the differences that make a colony strong. Foragers, scouts, drones, nurses, regurgitators! All are different but they're a central part of the whole. This is where we ants draw our strength.
I haven't really finished writing anything about this yet, so I'll throw it up here until I figure out waht to do with it. The Kamalu discs deserve their own fuckin' documentary.I loves me some cheap Halloween CDs. Usually, for of every 10 boring disappointments there's only one wonderfully baffling item, but this year it's running one for one!
I remember hearing about the first plane on the car radio when I was taking a 4 year old Katie to school. Then at home I watched the second one hit. I called and woke up my friend Liz who thought I was joking. We watched the towers fall together. Then Robb and I when to Fry's to buy parts to build his computer and wondered what the fuck was going on.
Can a brother borrow a laptop? I've been at the hospital the last couple of days and luckily, they have free wifi to keep me sane. My bro let me borrow his laptop, but i need to give it back tomorrow. Does anybody have a spare I can borrow for a few days?
Shana is doing ok, she had a lot of pain from the afternoon till the evening, but they upped her dosage and she's sleeping fine now. She appreciates all you thoughts and messages.
8 Titanium Screws My dream of turning Shana into a robot is one tiny step closer. I was able to get a doctor to implant the Dynesys Dynamic Stabilization System under the guise of solving "back pain". She went into surgery around 8am and was done about one and a half hours later. She is recovering nicely. If you would like to send her any messages, please do so here. Please leave them in the English language as she doesn't speak binary...yet.
Hello. Shit, I can hardly remember most of what has transpired since I last posted "for real", but here's some greatest hits for you.
About two months ago, I finally got a job. I do Audio/Video for a place that does a new form of autism treatment. I generally like it and could see myself working here for a long time if need be. The only bad thing is the hours. there is only one set of computers for the work we do(mostly transferring video), so since we both can't work at the same time, i usually work from around 6-8pm till 4am or so. no fixed schedule, there' s just a certain amount of work that always is need to be done, and i just have to do it. while this would be great if i was single, it's very taxing when one has two kids, one car, and a wife who has her own job.
shana is going to have to get major back surgery within a month or two and will be out of work for at least 4 to 6 months. i am very concerned. i hope this works. i don't know how i'm going to be able work if she can't watch the kids, especially since it's summer.
our 9 year old has had a lot of trouble with school and actually got suspended for one day near the end of the school year after being send to detention 4 times. it's a complicated issue and i have no idea what to do about it. she also failed math and has to go to summer school. at the same time, she completely aced all of her TAKS tests so it's obviously a problem with paying attention in class and the ability to deal with other students appropriately.
the 3 year old is doing fine. apparently i haven't had enough time to emotionally scar her yet, but i'm working on it.
my home life is a fucking mess, literally. as if i didn't have enough trouble trying to keep it clean when i didn't have a job, now that all i do is work, sleep, or taxi people around, cleaning house is the last thing i want to do at 4:30am in the morning. or i'm so tired from only sleeping two hours that it's all i can do just to keep awake in the morning until the young one's nap time to make sure the kids don't murder each other or set the house on fire. shana is pretty much constantly in pain, so sadly, it's all up to me.
otherwise, i'm doing just dandy! it is nice to be able to pay bills on time and not have to live pay check to pay check.
i still read all of your posts and hope everyone is doing well.
my cell phone was lost and i had to get a new one, so if you can, please e-mail me all of your home and cell numbers.

...it's not easy to figure out for yourself why said stuff happens. Man, I really want to see this this movie. I can't remember being as pumped up so see a flick from a trailer in a long, long time.
Let me state this as bluntly as possible: Mom in "The Cat in the Hat" should not be hot. You should not want bang her. I requested "King Tut" and it got played on this show. The Dr. sent me a tiny t-shirt. I still have it and the cassette tape that I recorded the show on.
While collaborating with local talent in Pittsburgh, 50 Cent is alleged to have been involved in a verbal altercation that escalated until 50 Cent threw a Stouffer's frozen dinner through the recording booth glass, injuring a person's face. In adults the problem is often seen as a difficulty with time management, organization, risk-taking, careless behavior, and distractible and impulsive behavior. They often show an inability to structure their lives and plan complex daily tasks. Their greatest difficulties are in self-control or executive functioning, which refers to inhibit off-task behavior, the ability to direct behavior toward future goals and tasks and to keep those tasks in mind until completed (typically called working memory), to self-motivate such behavior in the absence of rewards, to innovate or reorganize goal-directed behavior as obstacles arise, and to evaluate one's own performance.
