Joey Cheeks visa gets denied cause he was planning on speaking out against china.
an American citizen gets stabbed to death the very first day of the games.
Russia invades Georgia. then threatens poland over it's agreement with the U.S.
China has 3 underage girls on it's gymnastics team.
however the government falsified documents to allow them to play.
yeah those last 2 statements are all hearsay, but my eyes dont lie.

i love the u.s.a as much as anyone. but michael phelps is not, i repeat IS NOT the greatest olympic champion of all time. swimming gives away medals like a gumball machine. now i'm not knocking michael phelps. the boy is great. however, this is his second olympics. some of his fortune and good luck was because of relay races.
Dara Torres is a great olympic champion. her 5th olympic games. and a chance to win gold in the 50.
Carl Lewis great Olympic champion, i'm sure we all grew up hearing about the fastest man in the world...well us 80's babies. and the whole Ben Johnson thing.
Mark Spitz well he was michael phelps before michael phelps was a thought.
i could go on and on naming people.
now does he (michael phelps) have the most the gold medals? yes. greatest olympian? hard to say.

so on tuesday coming home from work. someone texts me that "heath ledger is dead." it was random and not part of the texting conversation. naturally my response is. "what?". i call said person and ask whats up....blah blah blah heath ledger is dead. my response to this is. oh well. i dont care that he's dead. no sweat of my back.
